Part 3 - Loss
James Matthews posted new chapter in JM Shorts: That Year With Joe (A Three Part Novella)
Part 3 'Loss' The first time being in love is hard to describe. The first time being extrapolated out of love is even harder. Being in love, or falling in love as people like to say... well, I guess it feels like a fulfilment. It's all those stories you've read. For me It was in those women's magazines my mum brought home. Stories of poor women finding rich men and falling hard for them. For me it was never about material objects... fuck, I was 14! I had my own- 9 comments

Chapter 33 - Coming Through The Otherside
James Matthews commented on James Matthews's story chapter in Chapter 33 - Coming Through The Otherside
I'm thinking alcoholic Mother. Father dead. Mother doesn't even know where she is let alone her Son. With Ben's unruly behaviour, bit psychotic, perhaps not a stable upbringing. Mind you, at 18, he could have gone out and lived his life a loner and no one has any reason to think he's missing. These are all guesses. I'm the last person who would speculate correctly. -

Your gifs have always been dry and perfectly placed. I owe you and all my readers more thanks than I deserve. I'm flattered by your comments and so glad you came along for the ride. You mention things inside my head? Believe me some days it's a mess and writing brings me such calm and clarity. It's my little island in my head to escape for a while and to have all of you enjoying my output is tremendous. <<<< I rarely use that word. Always makes me think of Trump! I've used it with genuine affection 😁. -

Your words are too kind. Thank you. I have enjoyed writing this from start to finish and to have you and all the other guys who had something to say along? Well, what more could I ask for. I'm so grateful that people actually like what I write, and to get nice words at the end of each chapter has been humbling. You've made the characters more alive than I could ever have done alone. ❤️ -

Shit! Maaa Bad! Lol. Yes it's an epilogue LMFAO!!! whoops!🤭 -
LUKE After spending so much time at the hospital, I had effectively put my life on hold. It was a terrifying feeling because I knew people and 'stuff,' would be waiting for me when I came out the other side of this. But what was this? Was this my new life now? A helpful hand for Leander, or still an obsession. Some might say the lines are still blurred. I loved him, simple. The love I had for him was something I would never be able to comprehend in one lifetime fully. On my way home

Part 2 - Having
James Matthews posted new chapter in JM Shorts: That Year With Joe (A Three Part Novella)
Part 2 'Having' "I can join you for that," were the words he chose. I'd got my reaction. Surprisingly it felt like the one I was expecting somehow. But the relief of not being punched in the mouth or him storming off to tell our parents still lingered in my mind somewhat. I could see Joe begin to masturbate under the covers. His hand slowly moved back and forth. My mind felt electric as I watched. I dared not touch myself, or it would all be over almost, embarrassingly, imm- 5 comments

Some great details brought up there Summer. I'm surprised the Police have not come calling yet as it would be easy to pin the latest on Luke or Leander. My guess is that the Sheperd's have done all this in either A) secret or B ) the Police indeed do know but have chosen to take the cash! (Or whatever is being offered to keep them sweet). As I mentioned above - I do think everything has got this far due to the suppression of the law in this town. Perhaps, but we don't know. Perhaps, the Police are fully aware of everything and are just monitoring the situation. The acid? Well that's a new level I'll admit. But Yelsin and Seth have proved their desensitization with much of what they do. Does it bother them, putting a human being in acid? I'm not too sure it does. As for the rest of the family, it's not known if they know, but Clyde will as he was there when Ben Flowers was "processed" at the fair. I wish I knew more, but I don't -

When you have brought the Police, anything can go on. Remember that the Police are in the Sheperd's pockets. I don't know about now because Scott is gone, but it suggests why Yeltsin and Seth think they can get away with stuff. That;s just my guess, I don't know anything really. -

Chapter 31 - Trying To Look Forward
James Matthews commented on James Matthews's story chapter in Chapter 31 - Trying To Look Forward
Hey Cincy, I think, but I don't know definitively, that Bear was referring to the fact he has a different mother due to the difference in height of all of his siblings. Mary seems to have produced tall children... or was it Scott? Where as Elaine, not so clear cut. However, I wanted to make it a little more of a head fuck because Josh is tall and belongs to Elaine (or does he?) lol. But I think the general consensus is that Mary has the tall ones and Bear was not, indicating that something was afoot with the biological pattern. One could point to looks, but it's often hard to look at a man and say he looks like his mother. The thing wish Josh is - Bear is not fully aware (no one is) that Josh belongs to Elaine. Remember that Bear did not meet Elaine until he was 14. Scott has never been proven as the father either. Bear has made the announcement, but also the assumption that Josh is the spawn from his real mother. Interestingly, Bear also says in a later chapter that josh is her "Assistant" implying his purpose and existence could have come later on in Elaine's life and she is indeed nothing to do with him - Just someone she can manipulate to help her in her dodgy endeavours. I've left it up to the reader in these bits to implode with different scenarios. I tend to do that (For Everything You Were) LMFAO!! I'm sorry... not sorry. That's what I think anyway, I don't know what's in Bear's thought patterns really -

Perhaps I needed to do a better job at my description of Josh. I don't think he could challenge a small bird. If it's Len hes up against, even in his sixties, Len has this covered- 18 comments

LUKE "Dad, all you gotta do is go to the hospital and see him, and he'll explain everything." "Son, I've had a long day, it's gone five, and I am looking for a cool shower and something to eat, and then I'm seeing Elaine; this is not a good time." Dad met me at the same petrol station I had filled up at earlier in the day as I stood next to our cars. We'd spoken several times as I tried to convince him to come to the hospital. Earlier that day, he called me and said he had
