Personally, I'd say to wait until you have the entire story completed. That way you don't have to worry about breaking any promises or deadlines to your readers. I've tried the chapter-by-chapter approach, but what happens if you hit a dead end and don't know where to go, and what if you lose interest in the story halfway in? I have several incomplete stories that I doubt I'll ever finish, and I still receive emails from people asking when and if I'll continue. Save yourself a lot of unnecessary stress and headaches, and complete a story before you start posting That way, while everyone's happily reading one story, you can work on your next masterpiece.

Although I'm sure this is a good program, I'm not comfortable with using programs like this. The thought of keeping all of my passwords connected to my browser scares me. Instead, I use an encrypted flash drive and store my passwords in there. Of course, anything's better than nothing, right? With today's password recommendations I can barely remember one of them, so 50 - give or take - is waaaaaay out of the question! Thanks for the info, good sir!

Everyone in my 'real' life knows that I write. However, none of them know that I read and write erotica. It's not that I'm ashamed for them to know, though. I just like having this part of my life to myself. If everyone around me knew everything about me, that would be boring and uneventful.

I'm jumpin' aboard the Teen Wolf train, too! I started watching it to see how it compared to the original movie with Michael J. Fox. It's nothing like it, but it's still a great series. That, and Dylan O'Brien is the best!

Simple. Jesse and Caleb. But why isn't Comicality in the favourite character pool? -

2 Cents Question For 9/4
TurtleBoy replied to Comicality's topic in Comicality's Shack Clubhouse's Cafe
Hmmm, it appears that I am filled of "what ifs" I can recall playing a lot of games that would depict the world in chaos such as an apocalypse. I'm completely open to the possibility of a said biblical apocalypse. Stranger things could happen I suppose. -
In my opinion, it's all about the build up. I strive to keep my readers guessing, and will only drop a clue when I sense "explosion" In other words, you're completely right. An affective story allows for the intro "Hook" to get your attention, the intimacy of getting to know who-is-who and what-is-what, the build up to a near climax, the sudden drop which strengthens the plot and readers intrigue. This is then followed by an anxiousness regarding as to when the final "blow" is to be deployed. Mmmm *creams pants*

Message Board Topic 10/19
TurtleBoy replied to Comsie's topic in Comicality's Shack Clubhouse's Cafe
Personally, I would freak. I'm not sure in what sense as, thus far, it hasn't happened to me yet. It could be conceived as flattery, but I doubt that would be my reaction. As you have pointed out it's like an author having "their 'soul' stolen" It isn't fair to the actual writer or the readers, and it's not exactly doing much for the stealer of souls either. If it were me, I'd be embarrassed and ashamed at the mere thought. I'm cannot even begin to fathom what such a person would be looking to achieve. -
A good story is not built on convenience, but more so on its twists and turns; how something came to be. I've just written a fictional story where I experienced these same difficulties (if you want to take a look -http://turtleboy.weebly.com/unintended.html) I addressed those usual problems and kind of distorted them, so that they wouldn't appear to be on such "common ground" with other stories. Opposites attract, especially when its done by chance of a blind eye. Hmmm, I really should have woken up a little more before posting this reply, I can't seem to verbalize what I'm trying to say quite how I had planned hehe. Hopefully I've been of some help, if I think of anything else I'll drop another line or two later. -TurtleBoy-

Hmmmm... I'm not exactly an author but what the hey! I agree with Madbomber on this one, how ever it could be tricky throwing characters into a new direction. Doing this changes the characters, and than the readers; (who usually fall in love with the characters) end up loosing interest anyway. I'm guessing, if a series is loosing steam, and you can't flow with it anymore, give it an ending that will keep readers at bay. Than if some great idea pops out down the road than bring it back. Even television shows have seasons and down time. Especially Heroes!!!! Got to wait till the 23rd for the next one grrrrrr! Anywho. Possibly try like a series finally go out with a bang, but leave some room for a possible come back. That way things don't become stressing and awkward(is that how you spell it? AW-KwaRD, hmm doesn't look right) Oh well that's all I could think of for now. So TTFN!!! -TurtleBoy- (See this is the side where my name belongs hehe lol) -
"1. Average number of times a man will ejaculate in his lifetime is 7,200." I'm not sure this is relevant, but I'm pretty sure i've ejaculated about as much of that number about now and I've just turned 24... Damn, I think I have a problem. : ( -TurtleBoy- (hehehe)

Big fan of Comicalities "Untouchable" Series, it's been a while since Untouchable 4 came out now, -loved it- And waiting for "Untouchable5" to be posted! Which I think is in a week or so from now. It's incredably interesting the contraversy the story brings up, and the worrying of public view towards the possible descovery of their relationship being discovered. It reminds me of another online book I was fascinated with several years back titled "The story of Christian." It was amazingly detailed and brought up all of the pro's and con's of that kind of relationship. I wish I could remember the web site or author's name, that way I could post it hear for all the "Untouchable" fans out there. Darn I'm not even sure it that site is still running. Well furthermore if you come across that title, it is definately worth checking out. Me rambling again..... Well I guess that's it from me tonight, good night to all! -TurtleBoy-

"Message Board Topic 3/26"
TurtleBoy replied to Topaz's topic in Comicality's Shack Clubhouse's Cafe
In most situations, I usually pick the title which seems to suit more to what I'm in the mood for. For ex: Comicality's new semi-novel Dreamlover. A title like that you just have to check out. It leaps at you! The curiosity gets you instantly. I tend to keep away from anything that starts with "The" mainly because there are so many novels and stories that start with the, you get them on a list in alphabetical order and thats all you see is pages of "The" they don't really stand out. I'm not sure if it's much the same with other people, up until recently I've only really had my own opinion to worry about. But I find Titles with abstract phrases tend to tickle my fancy. Irregularity I guess you would call it. Titles such as, Marbles to Rifles, Obderate Avidities(this ones actually the name a novel I've been working on forever) Exhale External Combustion Favours(how many ways can that go? hehe) Well I guess you see it odd names get me in easy, I'd name a few more but my minds not allowing me to be very creative, it's quartre to four in the moring, and the brain just doesnt work quite so right. Hopefully that helped a bit, uh just wanted to get the ball rollin on this one. Theres been many views, and I'm the second post. C'mon people, come in and post! -TurtleBoy- -
Seems to have been a while since any replys have been posted here. I'm asshamed to admit, until Dreamlover was posted, I had not even heard of Jesse McCartney... What rock have I been hiding under. Dreamlover; being one of my new fav's of Cosmie's work, brings up so much thought in the lucid dreaming, that I had to try it myself. Unfortunately, I'm yet to perfect flying like superman. I always become aware that I can't really fly and fall to the ground... I can't seem to find the song that plays in the Dream. What is it? Where can I find it? I have to know the tune! Driving me crazy!!! However moving right along. Oh right the main reason as to why I am replying here... Dreamlover2 has begun posting in the Comicality Library head on over and get yourself a good dose of Cosmie's world!!! Don't want to spoil it but can't wait to hear everyone else's p.o.v's on Dreamlover2! -Joe-
