  1. My first crush was Rachel Weiss, or at least her character in "The Mummy." I liked her extremely British personality. But, when I realised I was gay, i must say my first celebrity crush must have been...erm...Ben Affleck i think (I'm a little ashamed now) i like him in "Dogma" (at least until he went on a killing spree)
  2. I agree with everyone else, that was really very brave of you. My friend use to have a really big crush on her best friend, they were really close, and you could tell that there was a chemistry. She wasn't brave enough to tell him about her feelings untill he came out as gay and she knew nothing could come of it. I suppose a lot of people get into these kind of situations, but only the few brave people actually come out and tell their friends. Whats even braver is that you came out as gay at the same time. I admire you, i really do.
  3. My boyfriends visiting as he does most weekends, i'm really excited
  4. I use the term "heart" loosely. I dont mean to directly refer to the organ in our bodies, i use it as a term of a place where our feelings are, if you believe that you feel with your head (as i do) then thats where i was referring to. I used the term heart because most people relate it to feelings, and i wanted to relate it specifically to feelings, not just thoughts.
  5. I can't say i believe that home is where the heart is. I have lived where i do now my entire life and have resented this for a long time. I suppose it could have something to do with the specific location, but i think that i am simply bored with my life here. Every day i recognise shared identities with the previous day, and in turn, the one previous to that, and these are not simple things such as, the way i brush my teeth in the morning or the bed i get into at night, but are very specific things such as, the person i see on the street, the time my phone rings at night and so on. Another contribution to my great dislike of my current location is that, a lot of people know my name and my business around here, there is not place you can go and simply be anonymous to everyone, a thing i find great solice in. I would love to leave my home and find somewhere new and exciting where i can start all over again, and am saddened by the thought that i will constantly be tied to this place because the majority of my family live here and love it. I think i could find a home anywhere but here and so in conclusion to my little rant, i suggest a simple phrase reversal in that, home is not where the heart is, but instead "The heart is where home is."
  6. I think this forum would provide a lot of help to everybody. I myself have found it helpful in changing my own outlook on the relationship i'm in. I'd like to thank everyone who has posted, its been very interesting to be able to see all of the different perspectives. However i do have one question, which again relates to the topic of alcoholism. My boyfriend drinks alcohol, not a lot, and he's not been drunk since i've known him. However, i keep pestering him about his drinking, it worries me that he might one day become addicted and ruin both of our lives (although this is very far fetched.) He has done nothing to change his habits except reassure me that our future is safe and he will never allow it to get out of hand. So then i suppose my question is, should one person give up a luxury that they are used to for the sake of another persons paranoia?
  7. Hmm, maybe i wont play with my eyes any more, i knew that they were sensitive, (i gathered from all the "avoid the sensitive eye area" on skin-care bottles), but i didn't know that contorting your eyes into different shapes could be so troubling, in future, i will simply draw some heyes on paper, and stick them to my face. Hmm..after further thought, i would then not be able to see the faces i was pulling, hmm tricky...very tricky
  8. Wow, urm, after reading all of the other confessions on here, I confess that my life is boring lol The only thing i can think of to confess is that today, in my English exam, i was told to describe my home, so i told how terrible it is, and totally exagerated my mothers evil side. It was a good anwer though, so i'm happy
  9. When you enter into a relationship, lots of doors close on you, but at the same time many open. I think that sometimes, we all feel like we're giving more than we get, but your partner may be feeling exactly the same. We can't rely simply on compromise to make a relationship work, although its very important, no relationship could be successful without understanding, and this can only be achieved through communication. I think its extremely important that, should you feel difficulties in a relationship, you should discuss it with your partner, thats what they're there for after all. I also find that personally, being in what i hope is a very long-term relationship as a teenager, one of the most essential things, is to be able to look forward to a future with your partner, where you can see yourself being happy, even if your future looks a lot different to what you'd ideally like it to be, but this again leads to compromise.
  10. I often pull faces in the mirror, i think it maybe a sign of insanity, but i want to explore everything i can do with my face, imagine living your entire life without realising that you could see all the way up your nose, the very top of your gums and the red on th inside of your eye just using your thumbs, fore-fingers and pinkies. I think its about time others did the same, whats the point in having a face if you don't use it to its full extent??
  11. Now:- The Sopranos Hollyoaks ER Considering:- House (my boyfriend watches it, and since it was he who recommended the sopranos i'm thinking he might have a taste for good TV shows) Brothers and Sisters (cause the teaser looks good) The x-files (another of my boyfriends favourites) Avoiding:- Big Brother (at all costs, i want this show to end, i think its very tired now and the characters seem to tick me off more every year) Always:- Friends (one of, if not the best American contribution to England since WW1 hehe) The Simpsons (Hmm..a close competition with Friends in the America - England stakes) Countdown (i'm sad i know, but what ya gonna do)
