Sorry, I'm late, but totally not my fault. You see, I was having my breakfast while reading this chapter. That's when Zoey mentioned ''circle jerk" and I, well, lost it. Spilled orange juice all over my laptop! That's why I'm late. Blame the author. I love Matty and Zoey's banter. I love how Zoey's character is developing. And what's with this John? He should change his room and start living with those three *itches from last semester who blackmailed Jonathan. Not sorry for cursing, not at all. 😤 Okay, I'm done fuming for the day. Now lets go shooooping! 🤩

Nope. For that party, even under costumes, I want Rusty and Matty to be their true selves. That'll be more interesting, I guess.

And now if you all please follow my lead. Imagine to be in the middle of a hot and humid summer. It's been a long and tedious week but finally, it's Friday night. And you have two beautiful days ahead of you with nothing to do but being with your lovely partner. The dinner was spectacular and it's bed time. Right then it starts raining; heavy rain that curtains your house from the neighbors. Cold stormy winds that uproot nothing but the heat from the earth and your house walls; a storm indeed but just the right amount. Your house cools down naturally. You switch off the lights as you make your way towards your bedroom. A steady cold breeze coming from some gaps under some partly open windows you don't care about, and is now letting you feel the warmth of your skin around your collar. The rain drops ricochet on the outer walls and the wild sound of it has engulfed your worldly senses. The shadowy corridors have no space left for you to stand a moment longer. All you can seen and sense is the dim light coming through the ajar bedroom door; your Love is waiting for you. You enter into the room and your heart jumps like a child on a Christmas morning at the sight of presents as you see your lover, warmly smiling at you and pats on the empty side of the bed ushering you to go ahead and have all what really matters in your life; love. And suddenly your stomach aches and rumbles and you have no choice but to take a dump. Now that mushy little piece of shit that peed and pooped all over your happy moment, is Connor Williams. 💩 And I don't wanna talk about him. 🙃

I really like how subtly this story provides us the emotional nuggets of Rusty's heart along with his sexiness and clowny quirks. Actually if we think about it, Rusty is like a professional clown in our non-fiction real lives. Do we ever stop and wonder about that there maybe sadness beneath those amusing painted faces? The small hesitations, the silent voices of second thoughts, a sudden and unexpected grip of internalized disappointments, the faint pangs of something so new that it feels alluring, fulfilling and alarming at the same time - all this appears sporadically and yet draws the warmest picture of Rusty's heart, even under the loud presence of his exuberant colors. That's what I like the most about the writing; through all his craziness, you can still tell that Rusty Parker has enough to be 'The Home' for someone. Matthew is bold now, a lot more than what he use to be. Now he can make demands, though with a little voice but demands all the same, for what he wants. And yet there is a lot more to go. Matty needs to lose the fear of losing Rusty and I agree, that it will take some more time given his level of insecurities. The need of feeling "good enough" is never good enough. Matty is perfect for Rusty and that's enough and once he grasps that, he will be the happiest being alive. Both him and Rusty. Slicky situation can and will get very tricky. Can you imagine a throuple out of only two individuals? Matty will soon start realizing the purpose of his either characters in Rusty's life and the duality of his lover will become hard to live with. And the cherry on top of a tart cake, the Xpress! I bet in the next few chapters, we will see Slicky rushing into the scene to protect Rusty's reputation and most likely will show some p.d.a. towards the King of Sunny Hills. And when that happens, Slicky's importance in Rusty's life will get a concrete base, aka more trouble for Matty. All these doubts and possibilities aside, this is a beautiful chapter that leaves you happy and with lot of anticipation for the future. Here I leave you all with Rusty, our sexy little porcupine.

Okay, I'm pissed. No PISSED! Can someone please give a life changing hard kick to that soon-to-be-goner-Connor? He is exactly like those politicians who I wanna see But kudos to @Laura S. Fox for writing that speech scene so exquisitely well that it boiled every single drop of blood my veins. And I love it when Rusty gets these short scenes that give us some sneak peeks into his vulnerable yet pure-gold soul. The character of Rusty is so well written, an unpolished diamond that can dazzle you with its shine once you spot him under a bright light, is truly remarkable. And what a choice for the chapter title Ufff, again, another whole week of waiting!!!
