Carlos passed away on June 16th, 2023. An obituary has been published. I am shocked and hugely saddened by the passing of this amazing man.

It is in no way a big thing here, and is not an official holiday of any kind. However I have noticed that many people/businesses have put some Christmas decorations up. Mainly trees. From what I see Christmas is a growing thing across Asia, mainly (I suspect) as a sales tool. I do not anticipate any non western owned business to be closed on Christmas Day.
