Part Two. Chapter Eleven.
Rkench commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Part Two. Chapter Eleven.
Oh. No doubt. But what happens when a main door to his house has no lock anymore? And no one’s home. Or worse, when they are home? -

I can’t possibly be the only one who read this seemingly “throwaway” line and dreaded what it’s setting up. -
Not in the least I prefer seeing how things unfold organically. As River Song would say: Oh! And first on five!

Ben and Zev are the blonde wolves and a psi pair. I’m sure the white wolves mean something else, though, beside obviously reflecting (pun intended) Asa and Caleb as light shifters. The real question: will Elijah become a wolf shifter as well as remaining a shapeshifter, and will Ashton become a shapeshifter? How would it even work for Elijah? Poof. I look like a wolf and move like a wolf and see like a wolf. Poof. Now I really AM a wolf.

You should! Fiery Mexican/Italian tiny person in charge makes for a great combination and a rich character.

Part of the fun in reading is how different people can conjure up different images in their mind. For me, @kbois has an excellent track record in picking images. Her version of Ben looks pretty much like she plucked it from my mind’s eye. Kellan & Zev are standouts Many of the others are darn close. Her Sebastian and Kage are even sexier than I imagined. (And I imagined both pretty sexy). I’ll take her word on Tyler. While I love the character and his relationships, I never got much of a physical impression of him in my mind while reading. Same with Hunter, though I love the image she picked. Her Asa is a little younger than I expected from Elijah’s description near the end of Shadow Effect, but otherwise it matches and I’ll take it. I’ve said before, the only ones I “disagree” with are Elijah and Reilly. And I can’t explain exactly where or why they don’t match for me, other than Reilly is almost blindingly pale and Elijah looks like he’s on an epic quest to fling a precious ring from a precipice. Maybe another image of each model would change my mind. I think she’d find my mental image of Wayne and Sandi funny.

No. Max is a fox shifter and an earth elemental who can manipulate metal locks.

As much as I’m thoroughly enjoying your fictional world, the real world is far more important. Take all the time you need. I’d far rather wait to read something you are proud of writing vs something rushed to meet arbitrary deadlines.

Dammit. Chapter 16 & 17 don’t get easier knowing what is going to happen. Still had tears. Great, emotionally manipulative writing (that’s not at all intended as an insult). At this point in the story, we know the three main characters so well. All three play their parts true to form. Yet. I give so much props to each of them for hanging through. Kage tells the most essential of those secrets he wanted to say. Elijah kept his peace of mind to know there was trouble, then after a mystical experience kept it together enough to call for help. Tyler, being Tyler, always is that help.

At first I thought they might be Logan and Cooper, but the mixed up eye colors tell me they are Austin and Ashton. Plus, the older wolf twins should be a little older and a lot more buff.
-
True, but she did for Asa & Kage (and, for my money, Ben, Zev, Hunter, Kellan, & Sebastian. Maybe Tyler and the hybrid twins.) Her Reilly and Elijah may perfectly match what is in her head, but neither is quite right for me for some reason.

I couldn’t find It either, and her comment caused me to look.

@Aditus and @Valkyrie: No guilt trips intended or needed, guys. The creative process is the creative process. Add on to that the numerous curveballs like throws at you (often below the belt). I get it. I appreciate your storytelling and editing skills. I’ll take a long wait for quality any day. Another favorite story I follow seems to get updated 1-3 times a year. It’s always worth the wait.

My only disappointment here is not knowing when this saga will continue. Excellent chapter and continued world-building, in addition to subtly pushing Gideon closer to Kavan. I’m assuming it’s the Conte’s blood. Tastes like a rare vintage, and the Conte was one of the few outside of Kavan’s clan to know of Gideon’s rejection.

My mistake. Still finishing the re-read of Spirit Wolves. Knew I liked Elijah for some reason. Fine. Then I WOULD fit nicely between Asa and Kage. Just need to track down Cassiel, now to help make this all happen. I’m gay but not fae in any way.

Maybe I can fit in the middle. (Though Kage transformed himself into a cat before messing with Elijah the first time. Giving him at least a leg, if not four paws, up on Asa so far).
-
Caleb’s never done much for me, personally (no offense intended, @Mrsgnomie) and the new pic didn’t help or hurt. Asa, however, could be my next future ex-husband after my doomed relationship with Kage one day gets underway then, ultimately, falters.

I understand completely. Fortunately, It’s an extremely easy edit. Hunter Zev came over and stood in front of him, placing his hands… Yes, I can tell you wrote the rest mindful of the deep relationship between Hunter and Sebastian, but any smart wolf would know to be cautious touching the mate of a 6’7” Alpha stud.

Hi. Re-reading to refresh myself on what we know before I get too far into “Light.” Ummm. He has?? I thought Hunter grew up with Sebastian in Maryland. Sandi was one of the first to be kind to Ben in Montana and Wayne is Caleb’s beta. Maybe this should be Zev reassuring Reilly?

I can’t recall a more literal “coming out of the closet” since South Park. Complete with a crowd.

Was just re-reading a bit to prepare for the new chapter. Realized I meant to bring this up: First of all, it is so sincerely and sweetly written. Second, it says so much in such a short space about just how perfect Perry is for Kyan and their children.
-
He was already a shadow man. So why not the ghost of hot men yet to come?
-
Not even Kyan, apparently.
-
Me too. Dreamed up plenty of scenarios where he ends up my future ex-husband. Seriously, though. What a well- written character. The twins aren’t nearly as enticing yet (Of course for us, right now, they are still hybrids talking through speak n spells…. )

Amen. The situation in Maui breaks my heart. As someone who lives in a disaster-prone state, I know far too well how hard it is for so many to recover even with help.
