I own two original cels of Elliott. I don’t hate completely. Helen Reddy, Jim Dale, and even Shelley Winters are great. Remake? I refuse an acknowledge such a thing could exist. They’d make it an overwrought CGI mess.

It’s Brazzle Dazzle. Get it right. 😛 But no, you won’t get it out of your head. Maybe not ever. I haven’t seen it in at least 20 years and occasionally find my brain cursed out of nowhere with the even more cloying “There’s room for everyone in this world….If everyone makes some room.” Kill me. Please. Torturing me like Trevor tormented Enya would be kinder. @kbois picked one of the few good things about that alleged “film.”

You mean like Elijah and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Wolves? He and Tyler totally watched Dumbo that night before bed.

Me too, obviously. Please run with it. And please keep using commas correctly (unlike my hastily typed comment). I was actually referring to Skyler. For some reason I got a wire crossed thinking he used firefighter as cover for being a hunter. I wonder what character in what story inspired that sexy misnomer? Maybe it’s because Skyler clearly knows how to handle a hose?

Couldn’t agree more. Mom outed me on her 60th birthday in the hospital, then forbid me from telling my dad and brother for 6 years, fearing their reaction. I insisted that change when I met my then-partner. Pleased to say dad and I grew closer in his final years, and my brother and I are closer than ever. But I completely understood Mom’s fears. (Even though I was always of the mind if they can’t accept and love me F them. )

Well, if anyone could know for sure it’s you. Seriously, so pleased you not only remembered Seth but surrounded him with caring support. I love his character and he has so many possibilities for his future. At every turn, Randy keeps realizing this pack thing is bigger than he imagined or expected. Looking forward to more of his path to understand, stretch, and control all of his new senses. He has a bold heart, hence Glenn baring his neck. Like Randy, I’m also friggin missing Trevor like crazy. But I’d settle for a buff red-headed lycan firefighter marine to keep me company. If only the real world worked this way 😛

Brandon quickly became one of my favorites. He also stars in one of the most enjoyable sections of Higher Ed. Love his relationship with Trevor.

Blame the long line at the after hours Taco Bell drive thru. Work was hectic and got out extra late so I had to run for the border. Only to find the checkpoint with the squawk box was a mile deep of others in need.

I totally feel you here. Before “Spirit Wolves” I thought the shifter/paranormal stuff wasn’t for me. The ones I’d tried to read felt either silly like Twilight or gory slashfests masquerading as story. @kbois has a way of focusing on the heart and humanity first, shifting stuff second. @astone2292 and @WolfM have that feel in their excellent wolf sagas, too.

I felt that way on first reading of Shadow, but when I re-read ahead of digging in here I felt differently. You only had a small number of scenes to work with and did a nice job giving each of the boys moments to show personality and brains. Maybe it felt different because I had read Becca’s descriptions of them so much closer to actually meeting them (not waiting days between chapters)

Kuzco is One of my spirit animals.

Not to kick up and old debate, but An item in entertainment news caught my attention for Kyan’s pic. @Mrsgnomie described him early on as a more handsome, young Tony Hawk. Well. Tony Hawk’s son just got married. He’s far from average, yet also far from the CW meets romantic soft porn gallery of gorgeous men @kbois keeps finding for her characters. ( @kbois: that’s not by any stretch a criticism or complaint. Keep digging up more Kages and Asas) Thoughts on this gentleman* for Kyan?: *Gentleman used here as a polite term not an endorsement of the actual man or his character

I mean, Sven could do a lot worse for a living than to warm up your hottest characters (other than Jay and Perry). He’d be like Willie Scott romancing Indy after Indy ahead of the Marion Ravenwoods of the world. Maybe his story would be called “Romancing the Clone.”
-
Like Sven as a pre-Reid appetizer? Sven made a more lasting and sympathetic impression on many of you than he did on me. I don’t wish the imaginary minor side character ill, or anything…. But… at least he’s now In the same universe thanks to the last chapter.

Decent sleep, far above par read, thanks! You’re off to a great start

Yes. Bed ties play a crucial role in setting up both Kyan’s romantic and financial future. Wonder if BedSacks will offer restraints? Loe would approve.

Hmmm. Might take a therapist and a few years to unpack those feelings. But I’m grateful for all one/both of you.

Dichotomy of Love unfurls a heart-warming, well thought out character piece; one I’m sure I’ll visit again. Be aware, it starts off tragic, so trigger warning for anyone who might be truly gut-wrenched by a post-labor loss of life. That loss, however, leads to a fairly realistic look at grief and how you can and can’t, do and don’t move on. The main character, Kyan, has stalwart support in ways he doesn’t even realize, most especially from his best friend and brother-in-law, Perry. A man quietly hoping for more. How their central relationship develops hits you in the feels, while showing how even five-star intentions can go astray. I quickly grew to love Kyan and Perry and their extended family. You may never find a better, and more natural single dad than Kyan and @Mrsgnomieonce again shows her talent for crafting realistic children characters who grow. Their observations add immensely to the fun. Don’t be a sad-i-piller. Start reading. In these tough times many of you will appreciate the pick-me-up.

Wow!! What a charming end to a really enjoyable story. One I’m sure I’ll visit again. I love Kyan and Perry and their extended family. Thank you so much, @Mrsgnomie for creating this world and inviting us along on the ride. Tough as it is to build complex, realistic interrelationships with heart, It’s often the trickiest part to craft a satisfying ending, and I’m a firm believer all good stories have them. Doesn’t mean we wouldn’t be eager for more if inspiration strikes, be it ReMax or beyond. My only regret is this is the second touching tale I’ve found myself wrapped up in that has wrapped itself up in less than a day! I’ll be sure to post a review of this one tonight. In these tough times I’m sure others can use a pick-me-up. Edit: not many stories invite the kind of engagement that finds me commenting first on page 3 less than two hours after the final chapter was posted.

Stolen from Elijah’s garage?
-
I’d think just having a stud like Asa around as a mate would at least halfway cure the need for those kinda pills, even if he wasn’t a healer.
-
Longevity. His mate can live to be 700+, soon his best friend will have that, too. (Storyverse already revealed Tyler’s choice to go wolf) Unless Silas, Rosalie, or Cassiel reveal shapeshifters are naturally long-lived, too, going wolf has that one big advantage.

The Unlovable Corbin Crowley
Rkench commented on Jwolf's story chapter in The Unlovable Corbin Crowley
Ok. Why Corbin isn’t already pre-law astonishes me. As a bona fide working journalist, I assure that, yes, the skillsets intersect well, at times. But this version of you has all the makings of not just a lawyer, but a top-tier viper of a lawyer. (That isn’t meant to sound bad, btw. I personally know a few top lawyers who have my deep respect) And not nearly just from carrying himself at the “trial.” It goes back to a comment I made to you a while ago about Corbin playing chess while Dom was playing solitaire (though these days hangman might be more apt). As to the central romance, Mike makes the best argument, as usual. And he’s not nearly as dumb as Corbin keeps claiming. Throughout, he’s had some really good insights mixed with sometimes bad judgement. I’ve been team Mike for close to a decade now.
