  1. It was pretty mind-boggling just thinking about all the things back in my world that I took for granted. This world of Trevarth, or even just the tiny sliver of it I’d come to experience thus far, wasn’t exactly brimming with the kinds of “modern” commodities I’d come to enjoy throughout the rest of my life. Frankly, it was kind of like I’d travelled back to the medieval times, but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. For starters, this place had magic. Sure, it was more of a… “lo

    Chapter 34

I don't know why I read all of this on Nifty before considering it was more than likely on GA... oh well. Tftc ❤️
  4. Okay, hear me out, I was in love. I was hopelessly, pathetically, head-over-heels in love with Nari. Full stop. I mean, there was just no other rational explanation for the way I felt around him all the time. Was there? If there was, I’d sure as hell have liked to know what it was. Seriously, this boy had my heart locked in a vice grip so tight that I was practically redlining! Of course, and to make matters worse, I was pretty sure he didn’t feel the same way; I didn’t exactly ge
  5. The next week flew by me at lightning speed. But honestly? I didn’t really seem to notice until the end of it. Naturally, Nari and I spent most of our time together, even though he was forced to stay in bed for most of the week. Although, it had to be said that he was not so agreeable with rest and recovery. At least, not as much as he should have been, and he always seemed to be sneaking out of bed when he really ought to have been napping! To my credit, I did try to help ease Nari’s
  6. haha we shall see. Perhaps I will generate a few more. Thanks for reading 😎
  7. Nari awoke to the sound of a light breeze, which ushered in gently through the folds of the half-drawn curtains on the far side of his bedroom. He relented a great, groggy groan as he stretched widely across his bed. Sitting upright, he gave a few claps of his gums as he slowly came to his senses. He must have surely slept well, or so he imagined, because the sun seemed high enough in the sky to be nearing midmorning. However, a sudden, sharp pain in his leg suddenly caught his attention.
  8. So sleepy 😴
  9. Unsurprisingly, I slept like a freaking rock. And so, I was hardly surprised to find myself stirring at dawn. After staring at the faraway ceiling for an ample amount of time, maybe just content to lie there and soak up the fleeting coziness, I sat up straight in the bed. It was definitely way too long and too wide for anyone to use by themselves, let alone a guy of my size. Slowly, I peered around the room where the faint outline of the tall mountain trees silhouetted the landscape just ou
  10. Seriously, what did I even expect? Tamlhin castle was huge—no, it was freaking huge! And boy, did it blow my mind to smithereens. Sure, I’d seen pictures of large castles, but it wasn’t like I’d ever been in one. And the inside of this one was beyond magnificence. As we stepped inside, Nari led me through the massive antechamber and towards a wide, velveted staircase winding up on our right-hand side. We stepped up the stairs and turned left, switching back across a wide balcony that

  12. We set out from Dario and Mesra’s around mid-morning. As it happened, Sir Targon had spent more than a little bit of time smoking some sweet-smelling herb, and singing merry songs on the back porch with Dario By the time we were ready to depart, my clothes had been mostly cleaned, and dried, though I still felt somewhat embarrassed by the fact that I had to once again step out into this fantastical world in nothing but my pajamas. However, there wasn’t much I could do about that.
  13. My eyes opened slowly. I half expected to find myself back in my own bedroom, with my phone alarm set to go off at any minute, and the sound of my mom cobbling together a quick breakfast juts barely audible from the kitchen. But lo and behold, none of that was true. As I opened my eyes, I quickly discovered that I was lying in a small, rickety bed, otherwise covered in very soft furs. The room around me was pretty small, though it was made of wood and looked very much like one of
  14. Night fell across the forest, as Nari and I continued to walk. I could hear the sound of rushing water, somewhere deeper in ahead of us. With the night also came a cool breeze that left me feeling somewhat uneasy. I mean, I was still only wearing my pajamas and baggy T-shirt, which left me feeling more than a little underdressed and a tad bit cold. Nari certainly wasn’t any help, even despite his best efforts. He kept trying to insist that there was nothing to worry about, but even he
