To be honest, the delay in this chapter was due to a block. I'm extremely happy to hear you like it because I was unsure of how it flowed. As to when book four is ready... I have two words written, and both will be deleted. "Chapter One". Debating trying it in 3rd person... We'll see.

I haven't, mainly because I don't know how many there will be. I'm posting as I write and have an end goal, but I don't know how long the road will be. The original was 104 chapters, and considering the fact that books 1 and 2 covered the first three chapters of the original, I think we can expect at least half a dozen. Twice that if I meander too much!

After getting nods from Chris and Josh, I followed Brian when he opened the door and walked confidently into the living room. Trying to make every chapter 'intense' is why version one moved WAY too fast. I kept trying to 'top' the previous insanity.

Absolutely the most addictive story I've read in my life. I found myself using internet searches to view locations and boats, as well as other things, throughout my journey with Trevor. So many twists to the plot, and so many artfully crafted foreshadowing events I found myself going back to double-check things. This is actually my second full read, I enjoyed the story SO much, I'm sure I'll revisit it in the future! I would love to hear more about these characters I came to love!

This is not an unfair point, but that blood was exposed to the vampire blood on the initial change via osmosis compared to Josh's, which is being introduced directly into the bloodstream. BTW, you do realize you're arguing the details of a vampire transformation by using science?

Josh's leg was crushed, not cut off, and when Greg drained him, he didn't drain the blood in that leg. Once the rest of his body began the change, Jake started letting the human blood return to the body, mixing with the changed blood. Chris was drained from head to toe; no blood to mix.

I pulled through the gate and drove half a mile up the dirt road until I saw Josh’s truck parked off to the side, along with a dump truck backed up to a pile of dirt. The Denali hadn’t completely stopped when Jake, Scott, and Billy bailed out of their doors and went running; Jenny, Brian, and I followed seconds later. Chris appeared to be unconscious in the cab of the skid steer, which was lying on its side on the slope of the dirt pile, leaning so far it seemed ready to roll onto its top.
