They might not be fully cooperative in the upcoming battle. I still wonder if the Herald is working to drive the two apart and take over control of Fenn and sideline Ain. Like diverting Ain elsewhere, this new attack plan could waste resources and delay moving to the capital and experimentation site. Plus, the flamewelder attack and pillaging of local citizens is building increased resistance to their invading army which could grow to be very problematic. I wonder if the Herald encourage the flameweleder. The Queen knows she will be attacked. This delay by the invading army allows her to gather more forces to repel her attackers when they finally arrive.

Most soldiers in combat depend on their close friends to survive and recover. Some will get PTSD after intense, violent experiences. They need help and counseling. I understand that if a policeman in the US is involved in a shooting that person is commonly given counseling on leave and not brought back on duty till that person is cleared by the counselor or therapist. This is all to say the someone who kills close up another person should accept advice from others on how to process the experience, resolve any guilt feelings and move on with their lives. Andrew should not bury his feelings. He needs to cope and ask any questions to help him better recover. Tanaka and Walter have started and will help him further. We have learned from the later stories that Andrew has become quite tough and resilient. Andrew needs to quicky be ready to face any associates of Denton. Brick may come after him and may fire first. He may need a reasonable cover story for the police and Alistair, if he is asked.

They sole in code and Will offered him a place to stay if he needed one, Andrew seemed to be grounded and reassured by just talking to him. Andrew is definitely on a new path hidden from Will.

Denton was so mad that he chased him and lost his assistant who really hurt his ankle jumping over a creek. Denton finally caught up with Andrew and moved right next to him to beat him up. Andrew knowing he had no alternative fired his pistol into Denton stomach and killed him in Grady's old vehicle yard. Andrew no longer could rely on the law to help him out He will be distressed by what he did and need to decompress, He needs help to get rid of the body and to get his car, The violence is not over Denton will be missed. He has others in the Northen Cross and his network who will want to know where Denton is, Andrew could be targeted again.
