    Feel free to write a sequel. It wouldn’t be the first time one author picked up the torch from another. One example are the ‘Monk’ books. Always willing and happy to edit for you.

    The easy communication answer is telepathy. The rooms of the hotel are all in synch, but they can’t communicate with the outside world, other than how is described in the next chapter.

    Didn’t think of anything clever. Wanted to avoid the obvious reference to Oliver’s demise. That could have driven his final comments, I suppose. Can’t say I’ve ever heard of a hotel with that many rooms on one floor.
