    Hello Strangers

I suspect as you get further along, more will be familiar.
  2. Thanks. I don’t think I felt skewered, just concerned because I disappointed my readers. Yeah, some prefer the original ending, and some hated it, especially pertaining to ‘Rocked to the Core.’ Hence the heads up in this one that there were two disparate endings.

    Chapter 6

I had a suspicion that maybe Lucas forced Owen to hand over his phone to send the message himself, but re-reading that piece, it doesn't sound like that's the case. How far away does dad live? If he's in another town, maybe Neil can go live with him and change schools. Yeah, he'll miss Sammy, but they can keep in contact outside of Lucas' purview.

    Chapter 6

So, mom knows for sure. Dad has been called in for the rescue, just in time it appears. Two weeks away from Lucas and his minions could make a huge difference in Neil's life. Not likely, but hopefully Lucas got a longer suspension, or better yet, expelled. I'm afraid for his grandmother, with his temper, Lucas could do just about anything if she tries to discipline him. Although a simple assault with no real damage sending Lucas to juvie might be the best solution.

    Hello Strangers

Yet is correct. He will learn and use much better cuss words over the course of the story. Thanks for the kudos on the name. Ancestry.com may not agree (8% Italian my ass), but I like using Italian names being 3/4 Italian myself. Others that I've used in the past, is Arturo Lamonica, and his father Luigi (Louis) Lamonica. Carlo Marini, I suppose the list goes on.

    Hello Strangers

I still have emails of your comments on other stories on that site, so it is very possible you read this one as well. I'm the same way, I can read books multiple times and things may seem familiar during a subsequent reading, but overall, a lot of details seem new. The Italian spelling police may very well be on to you though. The proper spelling is capice.

Thanks. And thanks for the assistance.
  8. You're welcome. Strange was intentional, glad you liked it.

    Hello Strangers

They make 1x3's? I've heard of 1x6's, and I suppose that would hurt more, if not permanently damage. Yes, resist. I hope to move reasonably quickly. Even my standard every 3 days will make it 9 weeks to the end.

    Hello Strangers

All true, but I have no plans to allow Uncle Boob much latitude. He's pretty much a non-person from here on.

    Hello Strangers

Objection! Asked and answered. Like right above your comment.

    Hello Strangers

Neither did I, that's why I put Carmela only in charge of it. Besides, it was her brother that left the trust. It goes a long way. Not as long as some, but it will end up somewhere around 75,000 words away from where it started.

    Hello Strangers

Thanks. I got a lot of positive comments about the story when I posted it on n---y. Since the changes aren't too drastic, I hope folks will like this version too.
  14. I hate the 4th of July. This past fourth, the world turned upside-down. Almost 7 weeks later it turned inside-out. I see my life in three phases. 1) Before July 4th, 2) The 6 weeks and 6 days between that and August 21st, and 3) August 21st to now, just after Thanksgiving after my 14th birthday. Oh, I guess I should tell you who I am: I'm Domenico Martini, and I've been at the Stephen Walsh School for Boys since that August day. That's where I'll start the story, but you'll find out more about p
  15. Domenico Martini is entering high school at a boarding school, necessary due to circumstances from earlier that summer. He learns a lot about school subjects, life, himself, and a whole lot more. He'd always liked boys more than girls, but never had a chance to do anything about it - maybe not totally gay, and he wouldn't be sure if you asked him about it, until arriving at the school, that is. This story originally appeared elsewhere. It has been updated to make the characters meet GA's guidelines. Additional enhancements may appear as I go through revamping it.

I remember something from my younger days where to 86 something was to make it go away. Similar idea.

What makes you think I can't write it from the dog's perspective? Plenty of other characters appeared in the subsequent sections...

    Finders Keepers

Yep. Wanted to close out the story with a little bit of humor.

    Finders Keepers

Thanks. Everyone, except maybe the family dog. Just kidding.

    Finders Keepers

No, not really. Just randomly picked the same number for both.

    Chapter 6

Maybe it’s me, but Jonah’s good memory of his sperm donor was getting a cookie? And I bet that interaction happened before he had any suspicions his son may be part of the “fruit basket.” That man needed serious help. No wonder Jonah hates him. It’s almost too bad he died, he deserved more suffering.
