  1. Another character I’ve created whose first impression was different than the true character. Uninformed anger can be dangerous, as Jack was shocked to find out. Definitely over the worst of it. I think?
  2. Some time in the future? Maybe, but not this story. Perhaps a part two down the line that follows Bruce’s career as a sexual predator? Naah, probably not on GA.
  3. Not this one, apparently. 😈 Yeah, at least his foster father doesn’t get shot at… oh, wait. Thanks. Obviously what I was aiming at (no pun intended there.)
  4. I just took a look at the word count for this story/novel. After 59 chapters, at a typical 250 word count per page, there would be 570 pages if this were in book form. Mighty impressive @John Henry. Mighty. #293 of over 6200 stories.

    Chapter 59

Don’t be too tough on Bryan after hefting the water glass. Remember all the times you wanted to do something similar. Another good job @John Henry
  6. I knew this chapter would ruffle some feathers. Bruce is worse than we thought, his father the opposite. I’ll get to all the comments in time.
  7. Jack Wilmer visited his son in the hospital. "What did they say, dad?" "They said, we won't be suing them because I don't want my son to be embarrassed or arrested." "What? Why would I care? I didn't get hurt that badly, and the kid used Kung Fu or some shit on me. Arrested? Why?" "It's not your injuries, Bruce. I want the truth. Did you ever do anything to that Tanner boy that, maybe, you shouldn't have?" "No." "How about two years ago?" Bruce started to feel
  8. Any mistakes they made are mine, but I think you’ll be surprised tomorrow.
  9. The truth will be revealed. Lawyers, police, who knows?

    Chapter 22

That was just so sweet. As usual, awesome chapter
  11. Perhaps. I think of him more ad being uneducated. Maybe never got past ninth grade.
  12. He'd be useful, that's for sure.
  13. I think I may have watched maybe two of the movies. The tone was just so different, I couldn't get into it.
  14. Ah yes, that does make more sense.
  15. Love the autocorrect for Wilmer, wilderness. Yeah, he seemed to be lost in the wilderness during that escapade. Yes, Bruce is in for it. Actually, it might also be bad for my readers when dad finds out the real truth. Tune in tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel. Perhaps I'll apologize in advance. Sorry y'all.
  16. Yeah, that's a spoiler more than my typical teaser. Thankfully you all won't have to wait too long, per @chris191070's request, chapter 19 will appear tomorrow. I'm kind of curious about the masochistic comment. I didn't think there was much of that between Bass and Rocky.
  17. I hope your recovery is going well. I can definitely push it up a day or two. Can't be before noonish your time tomorrow, due to the once per 24-hour limitation. It'll mean a longer hiatus over my vacation, but nobody will be waiting for a new chapter; as the saying goes, the end is nigh. Starting the next story with a couple day longer gap between them is no problem.
  18. Yeah, that nut didn't fall too far from the tree. I hesitate to use the apple version; apples being a fwuit and all.
  19. Rocky gets the upper hand but pays the price. Definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed. Those visits will continue in the background, I'm sure. No, Bruce isn't closeted. You'll find out more on Monday. The law is definitely to be discussed.
  20. Bruce got things from both parents, as we'll soon find out. Not much of it good. No comment on the exaggeration. Yeah, aside from mentioning his parents were both dead, there hasn't been much there, but unlike Bruce, it does seem like they did a good job. Glad you enjoyed the retort. No argument here.
  21. Hopefully, it will turn out OK in the end.
  22. Yeah, there's a lot loaded into this chapter. The Bruce saga continues in 19.
  23. Tuesday Manny sent Rocky to school with a note, stating that he missed due to a doctor’s appointment. Rocky didn’t want to go, but, once again, was not given a choice. He had no way of knowing at that time, but an unexpected, extended vacation would happen soon. Kenny and Steve both asked where he had been the day before on the bus to school. "I had a doctor's appointment." Kenny continued first, "You're not sick, are you?" "No. It was kind of a check-up." 'Check-up
  24. Thanks. All I’ll say is, we’ll soon see at least part of this. One can hope. As long as Bass doesn’t get caught spying again and gets his ass fired.
