I went to one reunion. It was the 25th. It was probably 9 or 10 months after my first wife died. The mother-in-law came to watch the kids. It was held in a hotel. If there were 15 people there, it was a lot. Out of a class of 140. There were a few there I was friendly with, two I probably wouldn't have minded following back to their rooms (one of each gender if I'm being honest). I was a loner in high school. Most of my Facebook friends that I never interact with are from high school. But oddly enough, the highlight of the trip was my late wife's uncle staying at the hotel at the same time. That and sleeping nude above the blankets when housekeeping arrived. In 3 years, it'll be the 50th. I live over 800 miles away from my high school. I sincerely doubt I'll be going to a second. The story definitely brought back memories. I was the smart, quiet guy. Fortunately, my very large brother was there for my first two years, so I never got picked on, never had the pleasure of getting shoved into a locker. I'd made friends with football players, so I was safe my final two years as well. Probably helped them out with homework. I can't think of any other reason why they liked me. But I don't specifically remember doing so. I didn't have a Derek tormenting me. But I still have no desire to go back.

Unmasked: Subtitled, I had a crush on the wrong twin. Had me at steampunk cowboy too. But in a different way. I had to look it up. Damn, am I old. Good job SA.

Right. 1. Sitting in the carport. 2. Banged on the door. 3. Gestured Henry inside 4. Woke up on the couch 5. Karl sits down at the picnic table, but worried about Henry arriving the previous night. Seems Henry woke up on the couch and Karl went outside to talk to him. But if Henry woke up on the couch, why did Karl need to go outside? Anyway.

Vampires not my favorite fictional creature. Normally, I skip those, but like others have said, for events and anthologies, I make exceptions. And no. That isn't a red herring. I didn't write this and said that to make you all think I didn't.
-
I know you've read at least one of each, violent and abusive, because I wrote them. No, not this one.

Why aren't there more stars? I won't say too much to not give away any plot points. But this one definitely pulled at my heart strings. You'll see what I mean after you finish it and read my comments. A truly heartwarming story. Finish the reviews quickly and get to reading. You won't be disappointed.

I have a new leader for my favorite story. It resonated with me because I'm adopted. A couple points hit me hard: I know that the agency was sponsored by Catholic Charities - Yep I didn’t want you to think I didn’t love you, so I searched for my birth parents without your knowledge - Been there, done that My birth mother was 21 when I was born, but unmarried. Jamie never met his birth mother. For me it was the opposite, I never met my birth father. I knew who he was because birth mom told me, and knowing my birth siblings' last name. Now, my two moms never had a relationship, but they did meet, and they thanked each other for what the other did for me. By then, my adoptive dad was dead, like Jamie's adoptive mom. SA, to quote Bill & Ted - "Excellent!"

Definitely worth a read. I disagree with the other reviewers, however @Thirdly’s comment about interpreting it differently is spot on.

I’m conflicted. I see the wrong everyone else has mentioned, but I don’t see the creepy. Sure, taking the photos may cross a line, but I didn’t get the feeling of any malicious intent. I saw Morris as a Robert Mapplethorpe or Sally Mann. Dozens of Renaissance artists painted nude children. It’s not always evil. Perhaps if the story continued taking the masturbation topic further, i.e. videotaping, my thoughts may differ. However, we are left to complete the story for ourselves. Morris has eased the concerns of a child he perhaps saw the conflict in. My ending? Lucas gets dressed, leaves, and is more confident of himself.

My Big Fat Greek Coming Out
Lee Wilson commented on Rafy's story chapter in My Big Fat Greek Coming Out
I don't know much about girls from Lesbos either, but this was funny! -
And not a single wooden stake used.
-
That was certainly a twist. Good job SA. I only have one question. Will Kyle like what Bubba’s going to do with him?
-
Nice. Communication is key. Would have been nice to know if they survived. Chapter 2 maybe?

Like @Thirdly, I read the description but knew Liam would die. I expected more like a clone, not Liam, but a replacement. Nice job. If I was Neil, though, Liam would be sooooo incomplete. My memory sucks.

Nice job, but I knew all along Bobby was a Queen. Now he's THE Queen!

Clint finally took the hint. Will he remember it by Christmas, though? I guess we'll see. Preston let the "animal magnetism" comment go. It's probably safe to think he suspects something, but can't figure out what.

Serves the ingrates right. Although in 2069, will a million dollars be enough to even buy food for a month? Interesting story, SA.

Another one that deserves a WOW! I'm far from emotional, but I think sadness/sensitivity is the one emotion I can't keep inside. Go ahead and read, but make sure your tissue box is handy.

OK, who the F stole my tissues? Awesome job SA. Can't wait for the unveiling so I can follow you if I don't already.

Dang. Another one I need that confused emoji for. What was the beach? Transported to another planet? But no, they found "3 bodies in the backyard of the house." Doesn't sound like a beach to me. Oh well.
-
I need to petition for a confused emoji. I've never been good at handling time shifts. And then, the section that begins with this: Ends with this: Weren't they already in the trailer? I mean, Henry was given coffee after waking up on the couch. Which in itself was weird since he'd just walked into the trailer. Sorry SA, this one went by me at 10,000 feet.

Well, that was... shocking. The old man ain't getting his 30 days of service, that's for sure.

Psychiatric examination at a minimum.

Fast moving. I agree. More, more!

Warren to the rescue. Cal, you CAN turn the phone off. It won’t buzz at you anymore.
