Yep, Good chapter. Otis opened a can of worms without realizing it. Jackie has acted a bit like a diva himself, no telling what he will do towards Hudson about this. On the other hand, Hudson isn't a wimp and it's pretty street smart so he should be able to deal with it. I do agree with akascrubber that Hudson not knowing he's been outed in a manner is to his disadvantage.

Gosh darn, think I'm going to get corny again. Could you imagine being loved the way Jamal loves Lucas. The things that Vincent said about Jamal are true. Believe he said that no one deserves love or to be loved more than Jamal did. The labors of love that he has built and the other things he's done there at the farm are just a testament to the amount of love he has to give it seems. The writing is always marvelous. The story is uplifting and ongoing... Thank you. Might have been good in language arts class. Looking forward to next week Thanks for sharing Headstall, I don't think you're stalling. I think you're firing on all eight cylinders with about 12 to 1 compression!

I can't wait for the next episode but I'll have to with the rest of us! I haven't had this much excitement about history probably since 5th grade. We had an excellent teacher that expressed the subject matter in a way we really wanted to know about it all. "They're Here"

Things do happen quickly sometimes. IBEX, think you're right and this will mess up Greg to some extent as it is now. I like how Greg is recognizing Billy is way more than first impressions led him to think.

Ownership, Wedding, a Hearing, and a New Job

They'll have a new normal soon. It" feels" right after what's happened already with these two guys. -
Chapter 17 Holding on Tight
J J commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 17 Holding on Tight
Great episode. Wonderful responses. And I thought they were actually going to kiss at that point! I've seen videos put up here before, this one is camp-tastic, especially if you've ever been to one of those Sunday afternoon tea parties! It explains my feelings after reading this perfectly!- 76 comments

Will the Good Luck Continue?
J J commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Will the Good Luck Continue?
Well at least things are looking up for these two finally. -
I don't like Evynee, or her callous attitude towards the men that are still defending.
-
It's been a long time coming! So glad that they finally met after each recognized who the other actually was. Thank you Justin4Fun, can't wait until they get back to the ranch.
-
Not a problem buddy. Glad that you noticed that I appreciate writers that can mold the characters with their writing.

I'm glad also, it sure is taking a long time though! Headstall is weaving us a tale that lets us know everything these guys are feeling. The friendships developing with all the folks Jubal is dealing with shouldn't be a surprise to any of us. People in town are good and also accepting what they're probably recognizing as more then loyalty on Jubal's part towards Lucas.

Permanent Incarceration and Temporary? Freedom
J J commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Permanent Incarceration and Temporary? Freedom
And THAT... Sounds like a dual edge blade!! -
You are so right akascrubber! There are lots of things that need to be straightened out, including that wolf lover of his!

Permanent Incarceration and Temporary? Freedom

The complications are adding up! It's incredible that B/J's pop has done what he did. Glad the cops figured that out . Geez, with what I've experienced recently. I seriously hope his brothers aren't like his father is. -
"Boring?" You've got to be kidding me Headstall? You've laid some more emotional framework for the rest of the chapters. And reading all the comments just now. Yea, there's a lot of us romantics in here. Cannot survive on carnal sustenance only. Well it can sustain for a little while! This was a touching chapter.

The Berger/Burlington Transition Continues
J J commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in The Berger/Burlington Transition Continues
Jeremy/Bryson is facing what lots of us have been through. It's pure hatred by people with Dana Carvey's church lady attitude. This type of character really gets to me right now! What's left of my family, the two of them have tried incessantly to break me emotionally and have broke me financially the past two years. They succeeded only in adding some scar tissue on my heart and strengthening my resolve. Not seeking pity, it just blows my mind that judgy people consider themselves better and us less than. I escaped in August. Been living in my vehicle since and will close on a home first week of December if the inspection is copacetic!. My anger is real but I can't dwell or focus on it, especially at my age. As soon as possible I'll start the second half of my life. Delete their info from my phone, if they find me and show up they sure aren't welcome. I think Bryson will get through this and him and Derek will be stronger together! -
Awww, it's a love-fest in here... And I like it when things like this are going on. Yeah I love this story but I'm also drawn in to love these fictitious characters that are being brought to life with your words headstall! My heart aches for Jubal ❤️🩹

Aarrrggghh! It's excruciating! Headstall, you've got me hooked on your story. It's a good-un. Did think I had missed something. Darn it, this was awful to read. It is part of the tale, so thanks for straightening things out for us all.

I think the number of comments that make emphatic the emotions that you can bring out with your writing should not be overlooked. Here I am re-reading it a year or two later after my first reading. This story is a classic already!

And it sure does seem like Toby's going to get some again. Awkward vocabulary lesson though!
-
Was Toby ever innocent? At least he's getting into the good parts of being a teenager. He sure was scheming to get Donnie where he wanted him even though Donnie wanted exactly the same thing! This is a fun story with an entirely unique twist of the main character. Phil, the way you've written about Toby's unique attribute is superb. In a way it's uplifting towards people who cannot see or cannot see well. Thank you.

Intense chapter. Going through the previous stories in light of the new one will take a while, but it's worth it. Two sides of a coin? Naaa, more like Sabbath's " Heaven & Hell" and all of us know which one is catching which!
