@Seraph28 Yep, I had a slow day at work, so I finished this chapter early 🙂 Curtus' death was indeed quite a shock, especially for the boys who are now alone on a dark forest road. @drsawzall Josel still has a lot to learn. He may not be the easiest travelling companion for Zdain... @akascrubber The boys know where to go, but the journey to their destination may not be easy. In the next chapter, we'll dive into the past with other characters. The boys will stay on the forest road for a while and wait for the readers 😉

@Seraph28 I'm really glad to hear that you're looking forward to the new chapters 🙂 This is indeed a rather slow start, as the story is long - in fact, The Shadowy Path is only the first book of the series! I think some people are also looking forward to the gay romance. That is certainly coming, but not just yet 😉 This is also a love story, but there are other themes as well.

Andreuz Paidos, Andiol Empire The stands surrounding the Great Arena were packed with townspeople. It was as if all of Paidos had come out to celebrate an official holiday. It's springtime in the mighty Andiol Empire. Despite the apparent tranquillity and prosperity, all is not well in the realm. There is a never-ending war on the eastern border, the power-hungry Shadow Cross is plotting, and the emperor has not been seen in public for years. And something far more dangerous is quietly gathering strength. Meanwhile, 16-year-old Josel and his friends are leading normal young lives in their hometown Paidos, in the peaceful south of Andiol.
