As the pessimistic German likes to say: "Schlimmer geht immer." = Worse is always possible. And Remy|Maurice had a really fucked up live till he came to Harlaney House.
-
Up here, on the third floor, he had never been before. There were a surprising number of doors in the white walls, and in front of one of them, which looked to him like all the others, Anduin stopped. "Riri... you know we both have to obey the High Mother whether we like it or not. And what she asks of us now, you will perhaps- probably- not like." He nodded silently. What else could he do? Of course he hadn't been told what would happen next, they never did- he was too dreamy and chil

Had to ask Google what Midol is but it might be worth a try can't get that much worse.

There was a somewhat strange mood. Dante could see it working in Frank, and he himself... felt embarrassedly honored that he held Frank's trust. He hoped he was proving himself worthy of it. Added to this, of course, was the awkwardness of the subject itself. In comfortable silence they prepared their omelet and had almost finished it when Blaise came into the kitchen. "Good morning, Blaise." Dante nodded to him in greeting. Again the questions came up as to why Blaise hadn't spoken to

@centexhairysub All of that... remains to be seen But the times ahead definitely promise to raise the adrenaline level.

Remy pushed the door shut behind him and leaned against it, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. Anduin. Anduin would stay here. Shit. The question of whether they could avoid each other didn't arise, because of course they wouldn't be able to. And probably... no. No, it had been thirteen years, he couldn't tell how Anduin thought by now. Maybe they could talk... and just bury things in the past? He pushed himself away from the door and flicked on the bedside lamp, warm yell

You know what, I really would love to see the scene of Ludo's and Jackie's argument, where he admits to seeing Arthur, from Jackie's point of view. Apart from that: great chapter as always!

I like that (Honestly, I never defined how old he is. Two, three years older than Carolyn I would say. For telling you how old Carolyn and Blaise are, I would need to do some math (too lazy), but Blaise is 5 years younger than Carolyn.)

"But I don't want yellow!" Jack scowled. "But with yellow, we'll do the stars and the moons and then we'll put the blue in and it'll be green and then we'll do the trees and the apples," Maisie reprimanded him. "I like red apples better though.", Jessy declared and Jack nagged: "I want them purple!" "Maisie is right, we'll start with yellow," Daniel stated firmly and Dante grinned at the foam on the dishwater. "We need more powdered sugar," Jessy made herself heard and F

And it was damn hard to write. I'm not exactly an overly emotional person and this drama queen was killing me here... ❤️ Finley will tell (more or less) what he said - yes it included bodily harm - and no, Steven was not fully aware what he was doing. More on that later, cause we'll see him again. No he didn't but close enough. A dragon has a special bond to his hoard and as Uther explained, in can have a sexual aspect. 🍑 I don't think Finley has realized what kind of jokes he will have to endure if words gets out that he, as gay dragon, hoards peaches... It's an allround enhancing tattoo. He has two of them, one left one right, for both human and dragon form. For Emmett's healing ignoring the announced magic resistance: it's neither nor, it's just him and what he is Lucky me? Poor me! Go back, re-read the chapter, re-read your comment and pour all your thoughts down 😎 Thank you! ❤️ I would say this is the sort of info bomb Finley should throw very carefully. Given Emmett's fear of being used and abused for his powers and the attempt hat kidnapping and selling him for exactly that, I really don't think he will take it easy to be "owned"...

All I had wanted was a good-humored evening. In pretty clothes, made up, with good company and delicious drinks. An evening that would help me decide what I actually wanted. Because: I had discussed with Tony what a redress-thing with Finley should look like, and apart from the important point that it had to be a place where I felt comfortable, it also had to be something where we could have a good conversation - preferably without scaring humans off. The result was dinner at the Golden Lea

Dante was a pretty standard misantrophic constant bad mood pubescent teenager Florian? No, you might mean Flavius from White Sheets. The Trioe itself does appear in the background of a story and Nico will get some extra screen time, but he and Dante meeting again will happen off-screen (and after Dante's main story). (I could write a chapter for it for this Another Time categoy but it would contain some spoilers.)

Dante passed the ball to Robert, whose feet danced with the ball for a moment before he shot. The ball smacked loudly against the padded mat that served as their goal, and their team emitted short whoops of joy while in the background Ottmar ended the game with two sharp whistles. "Five minutes!" he shouted loudly, and Dante expelled the air before slowly walking off the field. "Good pass.", Robert suddenly said behind him and he shrugged. "If you say so. You're the one who keeps

Slowly, the reddish-brown stain faded. With the shoulder Remy wiped some sweat from his face while he dripped more bleach on the stain and then continued scrubbing. Neither the sheet was his, nor the blood on it- whereas he was truly grateful for the latter- but that didn't change the intensity with which he worked. As long as he was in this household, no one would have to sleep on a sheet with old blood on it, not even Joy, who had managed to make herself unpopular in less than forty-eight

Add to that the fact that most pleasure slaves have a high status- especially in the upper class- and often enough fully embrace the "I'm more important than you" attitude. Given Dante's pride and the fact that he was deemed impotent, that makes for a nice mix. Or not, like oil and water. The first, I would say. Though I wouldn't put it beyond him to immediately calculate his chances. Oh holy, you honestly throw me off with this. Never before thought about this theory. Which tells you already the answer. But seriously, do you think Tom could rise to Blaise's favorite if that were the case? Anyway, we hear about Tom and the accident more, don't worry. Absolutely agree. (She has nice momets but I'm not sure you'd need a full hand to count them.) The kind of believes he has are indeed a not uncommon interpretation of their religion. He's young and if he got raised with those believes, if this is his first time in the wide world, so to speak, he might be confronted with other views for the first time. But, you know, getting rid of those ideas so deeply ingrained in you is hard. A newcomer acting high and mighty instead of askind for help/advice? Yupp. Not going to become my friend that easily.

"If you keep this up, the welts will never heal." "And you obviously have nothing better to do than stare at my backside, hmm?" "No." Tom's grin was clearly audible and Dante rolled his eyes, invisible to Tom, as he smoothed out the pillowcase on the clothesline. Before bending down for the matching blanket cover- the last item in the basket- he glanced over his shoulder. Tom was leaning in the doorway, arms folded in front of his chest, watching Dante work. His posture, his look, his

Highly likely Keep that thought in mind! @Danners I love your analysis! And that's what makes it so hard to write the Emmett POV now. Because Finley is acting. Punto e basta, as they say here. Yes, there are his instincts and feelings, but he's simply taking the situation, trying to control it. Emmett? Oh boy, he's truely a mess right now. You described that really well. Putting that down... yeah. Might take a moment longer to get it right. This might be the cleansing storm they needed. To break the circle of predator/prey-feel. But yes, a bit less emotional outburst would have sufficed.
-
I'd say wait and see but probably not, no. Yeah no, not like that, but I can't explain that in grand detail because spoiler let's say the dragon matriarch is like a queen- she and her prince consort make dutifully babies which get raised by nannies while they reign (and all that for quite a while, since they get several centuries old). A bit more modern, nowadays, but still. Uther is for Finley much more a father than their actual father ever was. And well at 12 he got sent to the Military Academy.
-
Let me have some fun too 😅 I'm a "developing while writing" author and fill the gaps betweens milestones while going. This fight was not planned as milestone 😅 To be honest, all your (all the commentors) interest in Mo made me invent Steven and then the snowball started down the hill... Well the Legion is a mix of humans and non-humans. From what Steven said he could have been talking as human. Only now in the end he showed he's not human. Weak dragon? Halfblood?
-
Next chapter we will skip back in time a bit to see the fight from Emmett's eyes. And of course what comes after. Steven can't be a younger brother. Finley said he (and Bomb) are the youngest. True, his father could have had an affair, but his father never went to the military. The "boyfriend" might be part of it, but I can't imagine it would be a big one. The purpose of rescue is too clear. Emmett is not only driven by flight-instincts or his healing nature, but he loves/needs peace too. I guess he was shocked to see Finley, who was till now nothing but gentle and sweet, to switch so effortless into fightmode.

I was the last to arrive at the Tempest. I had delivered a special bouquet of flowers for Patricia and then spent ages stuck in a traffic jam at a roadworks traffic light. My mood was accordingly. Annoyed, I sucked on my cigarette and almost choked on the smoke when I saw Emmett smiling at a stranger standing with the group as if he was one of them. At first glance, the guy looked like he could be one of my brothers. Strawberry-blond hair - which fell in a braid down to his bottom - incredi

Next chapter might give you a first answer to that. No. Dante and Remy will not meet during their stories. Dante will meet Joy, though, and here we will see some things interesting for Dante.
-
Remy rarely felt as free as he did in those early mornings of summer vacation, when his mistresses and the students were either out of the house or still asleep, and he could sit in the kitchen with the other slaves and have breakfast in perfect peace. It was only a little after six, but already hot and muggy outside, and they were all glad that their mistresses did not impose strict dress codes on them, as was common in other households. So Remy, his bare feet up, lolled on one of the bar stool
-
You're actually right on that one though since the others know he's not human and the know it's impolite to ask, they might wonder but not say it out loud. That said, normally dragons produce very few smoke and he can cover it up with the cigarettes. Now he's stressed (and there's another reason) and that's why there is so much smoke.
