@centexhairysub Thank you ❤️ Tom and Anthony had never much to do with each other, apart being playmates from time to time. Alice, Anthony, Frank and Valentine were a thick quartett and Tom was best friends with Matthew. Though he still needs to loosen up quite a bit before he's ready to tell us about it. And you are right, there's a lot going on everywhere around...

Dante began the first day of Hella, the eleventh month of the year, with a silent prayer. He had been taught that way, and even though he had always questioned traditions, he would never think of doing so for those concerning the dead. In the world in which he had lived until now, the first and last day of the month were holidays, with closed stores, filled temples, covered mirrors and extra place settings on the dining table - accordingly, it surprised him little to blink at a black cloth in th

Maybe someone tries to frame him. Maybe it was really him and he's just not as clever as he thought. Next chapter will tell -
Friday began with slight snowfall. My Golf looked like a toadstool and grinned goodbye to me as I left it in the QFPD parking lot. At the side entrance, I ran into Harry standing outside the door, typing on his phone. “You could do that inside in the warm,” I remarked with amusement and with a questioning sound he looked up. “Ah. Hm. Yes.” He grinned wryly. We went in together and had just hung up our jackets in our office when Josy breezed in. “Good morning. The DNA is

First chapter was interesting, but those two brothers, the hints at their father... oh yes, I want more!

I had just sat down in the office and was taking a deep breath to brace myself for the day when the phone rang. Surprised, I answered it. “Detective DeLaney.” Harry, who had just walked through the door, looked at me questioningly. “Officer Ingram here, ma'am, at the front desk. There's a, uh, a Durham here to talk to you. Shall I, uh, well, in the interview room or your office?” The young officer seemed a little flustered. “Just a moment, I'll come down,” I replied simply, nod

Frustration had once again made it hard for me to sleep. Yes, we had taken a big step forward, but a possible culprit was still a long way off. All the bits and pieces of theories and possibilities hardly had enough substance to work with. The large brick building with the huge pillared windows on the ground floor where the QFPD sat was old, majestic and the main entrance besieged by a group of journalists. Since Lieutenant Brick had made his press statement last night, I should have expe

It does. But I dare say, the big sad part is done. The emotional states turn mostly in other directions now...

"Hey..." Cain nudged Remy and he blinked. "Hmm?" "You should go to bed, Remy, you don't look well." Remy sighed and shrugged. The other three had long since left the kitchen while he was still sitting here- more to keep Cain company than to actually do anything. "I'm serious." Cain leaned against the other side of the kitchen island with an appraising look. "I was under the impression the tension between you and Anduin was gone, but you've been walking around all day today li

God yes I feel the same! Shame on me! I try to get back to it asap! 😬

Not half as rested as I would have liked, I entered the office the next morning. Josy was there busy with some files and winced when I greeted her. “Oh, hey Violet.” Her warm smile thawed the effect of her glacier blue eyes. “I put the test results in Catherine's file.” “Anything helpful?” I wanted to know. Sighing, she shook her head and brushed a strand of hair from her forehead. “No. There was DNA under her fingernails, male, but there's no match. All the other swabs and sam

Grumpy Simon killing women to make his job more interesting? Hmm, why not... 😆

Thanks to both of you! This is the first time in this genre and I hope I can deliver to meet the expectations. 🧐

“Well Doc, what have we got?” I wanted to know and watched, more saddened than uncomfortable, as Alex Stone, QFPD Coroner, removed the cloth from the body's face. “Now, Miss DeLaney, I might say the same as four times before.” Doc Stone pulled his thin lips into a mirthless smile. “Catherine Abrams, twenty-five. Good general health, though a couple of rib fractures from the not too distant past which haven't healed well.” He pulled the sheet down further, exposing the dead young woman's up

Five dead women, dressed up like clowns, holding a note: you should laugh more. Detective Violet DeLaney and her team are investigating - there has never been a serial killer in picturesque Quincefield before!

Okay well just tied to the bed with some severe sickness- let's not get to murder, y'all, your thirst will be sated- would definitely prevent some parties from happening and what's happening at the parties...
-
It would have an impact for sure. But it depends on what would happen with Anduin- if he still stayed or not- whether it would crash the story or not.
-
Remy stared at the sheet and the stains on it. He could still feel Anduin inside him, still his broad chest against his back, his beard-stubbled cheek against his own. After a loving embrace, Anduin had slipped out to shower in his own room, and Remy had gone to shower as well. He tucked the wet strands behind his ears while a storm raged inside him. He had his big brother back. Family. Love. Security. The warm comforting feeling was dampened, however, by the dull throbbing in his butt

You don't know how right you are... Blaise's big heart knows nothing but love for his children and grandchildren and of course seeing his daughter suffer makes him feel sad, seeing how she's old and grown enough to not need her father anymore like a little girl would. We can say Dante is developing alongside Frank in this respect. -
"Hey!" Dante protested with a laugh, ducking under the crumb TJ threw at him before taking a crumb himself and aiming it at TJ. The puff pastry, while delicious, had left quite a mess on the table and underneath. "You throw so bad-" began TJ with a sardonic grin, but Miss Carolyn barked in between: "Really! Worse than the little kids!" "Mistress, I-" It was probably just Dante's luck to be on the wrong side of the table, because TJ got a hard slap in the face. "You clean the

skipping forward to an explanation Remy will give later: for their forced shows they were given aphrodisiacs and the free-will-intimacies started in the aftermath. shortly said. Yeah, sharing his Riri on a purely sexual level is one thing, but emotionally? Ugh. Since Bella holds a special place in Remy's heart, she might be in for some nasty jealousy coming from Anduin. Taking care of his little brothers, especially Maurice, was probably one of the few things he could freely do. It was his choice. Taking care of them, protecting them... It's some twisted thing born out of once innocent love. And I agree, it's sad. To me everything about Anduin- the past Anduin- screams helplessness and growing despair. Makes you wonder when and how Anduin would have snapped if there hadn't been the upcoming sale for one of the twins. Maurice escaped in Remy's place. What if the real Remy had gotten sold? How would things have changed? And we don't know if this sale wasn't only the first planned one or if all of them should have been sold off one after another. Will be interesting to see...
-
I think the main problem in this is, that Anduin doesn't see - or doesn't want to see - how Remy's feelings have changed. But Remy definitley has to figure out what to do with his changed feelings. And whatever it might be, he needs to voice it.
-
"Remy?" Anduin sounded surprisingly hesitant, but Remy still frowned briefly before half-turning to Anduin. "What's up?" Anduin almost looked embarrassed as he slowly approached. "We haven't talked at all further about... you know." Remy frowned a little, though he was pretty sure what Anduin was referring to. "I don't really want to talk about it." Muffled laughter sounded up from below as he added: "Really. Thank you for telling me, but... that's enough." "It's not just abo

The group of four stands like this for a bit more than two years now, so they had time to build a rhythm, habits, make themselves a team. A slave leaving/a new slave coming always disturbs this flow, but Anduin- even leaving aside his connection with Remy- is the sort of character who trips every stable group. I would say those two are still in this unbelieving shock state- they both probably thought (and hoped in Remy's case) to never see the other again. And Anduin definitley has to assess the new situation. Therese is not someone to be trifled with. That would imply Keira made this offer to Anduin (or the others in general) as well. The way she seems to go after Remy though, for sure shows interest in him. And maybe it's only for him. Though of course we don't know whether she spent a night with Cain and/or Anduin on other occasions. Ah well I guess Claire is one of those who believes in expensive brands being different "no Miss this is water all natural which only ever touched a very special porcellain filter." She would probably go and brag about what fancy stuff her aunt has...
