I think we all "hoped" this day would never come @drsawzall. In my twenties and thirties, I went to many concerts with visiting international artists, and one by one they are dying out. There aren't too many left now

Yes ... it all goes back to those original Thompson's! They were a pack of bastards! lol Of course, down through all those years, not ALL Thompson's were bad ... and I have Thompson characters in other stories I've been working on that will attest to that. @drsawzall the fact is that these guys (Casey's mates included) don't see themselves as "gay" in the sense of the word that we would understand. We would probably call them "bi", but it's not really about WHO they have sex with, it's more of a power thing. They just want the sex, and to have that power over another person, just as the generations of men and boys before them have had! They don't care about labels, or about who they fuck. We have a rather crude saying here in Oz (and elsewhere I would imagine) ... "any hole's a goal!" THAT is the mentality of the men of T'ville!

@MJ85 thanks for your comments. Regarding Casey, I think it would be fair to say that he is beyond redemption. He is a Thompson through and through and has shown his true colours. The path ahead for him, I feel, would not be viewed by the general public as being positive . . . but I guess only time will tell. We'll just have to see what he tells us as the story progresses! As for the Thompson history . . . there are tidbits scattered throughout most of my Thompsonville stories, but it is probably best detailed in this one: Hope that helps! MP

"must haves?" hmmmm ... lol ... I think I've grown out of that phase ... BUT, I do go through "stages" where I will buy a heap of CD's or download stuff from various artists. Kenny will always be Number One for me. But I think the last artist I had to have everything of would have been Garth Brooks . . . but then he went off on a bit of a tangent and released some stuff I couldn't really get into, so that love affair waned! lol I went through stages with Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney there for a while, then there were guys like Dan Fogelberg and Billy Vera (At This Moment and Hopeless Romantic are two of my all time favourite songs) ... and probably a heap of others that I can't think of, just off the top of my head. Sometimes I'll just settle on a 'Greatest Hits' album and that will do. LOL

@Summerabbacat I guess we often end up have a preference for the version we are introduced to, over the cover versions ... even if sometimes the cover versions are unique and pretty good in their own right. I have to admit that while I like The Judds, I've never 'dived in', so to speak, and become a fan boy. What I do often do these days though, is download a lot of songs from YouTube as MP3 files (I found a really need converter) and have been steadily adding to my collection so I can add to my playlist and listen while I work. I'll have to try out a few more Judds songs.
