@drsawzall no real significance, other than perhaps that Matt works in an auto store and they would be a cheap gift for a 13yo to be able to afford (and let's face it, Levi was probably the one who bought them anyhow). And the idea of the two dad's having matching dice was just kinda cute. 🙂

@Summerabbacat and @dboggs9700 you just never know when things might pop up again lol TBH I have deliberately not dwelt too much on the kids who come and go from the hostel, wanting to show that this is indeed just temporary accommodation for the kids who pass through there. I did want to give at least one of them some roots, however, so that's why Jamie was kept around! 😁

@Philippe don't read too much into the dog . . . it's just a dog in a yard somewhere! And my take on the keys ... "I think" what might have happened is as simple as this ... Levi was a bit buzzed from the party, maybe hit his head in the accident and that made him a bit foggy as well, but he was cognisant enough to grab the keys before staggering off home. When he got there muscle memory (or something) made him put the keys back in their rightful place! And yes, there will always be another Thompson! Very sage advice indeed!

@weinerdog trust me ... if "the family" found out that Casey was sexually assaulting same sex victims, they would be buying him a beer and slapping him on the back! I'm not so sure they would be doing the same thing though, if he was getting caught and charged, and dragging the family name into disrepute! In this case he *might* actually be considered a liability ... perhaps!

Sorry everyone ... been a busy day so only getting to all your comments late in the day ... Let's not kill him off yet, eh? I want to leave it ambiguous enough to leave some hope. I know in my own mind what Casey's fate will be. All I will say at this stage is that you will see him again ... that future story is already in the planning stages! So stay tuned! (PS ... I have a few others to finish first though!)

@Summerabbacat did you stop to think that it all might have been "expected" by the family. After all, their reputation does go back more than one hundred and fifty years. They do have a reputation to uphold!

Thank you @Summerabbacat. Casey's fate will have to remain sealed for the time being, but I can assure you that I have plans. "If" he has been bumped off by "the family" ... he wouldn't be the first, I can guarantee you of that fact. You'll just have to hold your breath as to what happens when he does reappear (and YES, he will! One way or another!)
