🤣🤣🤣 @drsawzall! I can't stop laughing and I wish I typed that fast. But. Have no fear. Ch3 is schduled to drop tomorrow night at 6:12 pm. As fast as the 24 hr rule allows me. Two for One drops early tomorrow morning to keep 8 hrs between them as required by GA regulations.

Thanks for the comments @drsawzall! Just boyfriends.
-
Thanks for the comments @akascrubber! I'm thinking they are starting to see the signs. Tomorrow should answer most questions.

Thanks for the comment @ReaderPaul! Link actually refers to the iPhone sized pad on the left wrist, that can link with any ship's, station's, planet side communication system which in turn operates on either entangled quantum particles or meson particles. Either will provide almost instantaneous communication across long distances. It also preforms the function of a tablet computer, just smaller and more of a pain to use that way.

Thanks for the second comment @drsawzall! It won't be a long wait. 6:12 pm tomorrow the next chapter drops. Last chapter drops 6:13 pm Sunday.

Thanks for the comment @drsawzall! Hypothermia would eventually set in (At the time of year, even being further south than San Diego.I calculated Logan shouldn't have made it the 4-5 hours he was in the water) and yeah that would be slow.

I'm really feeling the love/hate relationship with this short story. I can't answer because the answer is in the next two chapters. But! I want to answer because you're hitting it right on the head, as usual. Thanks for the comments @centexhairysub! P.S.- Does Amanda remind you of Jessica? Just an older version?

Logan Trimaran DSCVR’R Pacific Ocean The binoculars were heavy, but they operated flawlessly for checking the horizon. It has been 8 days since Eric rescued me. How he planned to sail this 56 foot trimaran to Hawaii alone? I don’t know. It takes the two of us to keep it sailing smoothly and he sleeps more now instead of taking hour long naps. He listens to the radio at set times for the weather, explaining why he turned us west earlier than he originally planned, because of the s

Thanks for the comment @Cane23! I thought about that, but then why give him a self-inflatable life jacket.
-
LOL. Yeah Jess. She's a good addition I can write in for filler between events or I need someone to explain things. Thanks for the comment @centexhairysub!
-
Thanks @centexhairysub for the comment! Yeah. I thought Janek and Hugo needed to have some time together. Marc is always busy... really unfair at times to people he dates.
-
Thanks @Gary L for the comment! He tripped over something going down the sugar scoop steps. No lighting or handrails. Ended up in the water. Could have been a beer bottle. Combine that with he's tired and had been drinking... bad combination at night. At least they made him wear one of the self-inflating life jackets. The first section needs a little work. I'll had trouble with it, but it will get pounded out eventually.
-
Thanks @akascrubber for the comment! At least he had his life jacket on. I've seen a lot of people that don't bother offshore. Offshore in my book means more than a mile from shore. I personally used to prefer 20 plus miles out. And yes. This is a short. It was written for something else, and I decided to just post it instead. Could have used the radio to hail the Coast Guard, but that is not private. Everyone would have heard it...maybe.

It's all good. I'm used to straightening out my own words. Makes other people's words easy! 😀
-
Thanks for the comment @Gary L! My own insomniac tendencies gave me the time to write this story. Hope you enjoy!
-
LOL. Yes, I think it was @drsawzall! And Yes, it will have implications, but sooner rather than later. Like probably around the time his father hears about it. 😉
-
Thanks for the comments @centexhairysub! Best part about this story is: The answers you seek are only a few chapters away. I'm posting a chapter a day with this. It's only 4 chapters long, about 14k words.
-
Thanks for the comment and good observations! @VBlew Yeah, that kind of aggravated me. Bad seamanship on that catamaran. Luckly, part of the answer is one chapter away.😈
-
Thanks for the comment @drsawzall! Pirates... well they do what pirates do. Run away and hide, attacking weaker targets until they think they are strong enough and try again.
-
Thanks for the comment @drsawzall! In the Prologue it was written out. Second paragraph, fourth sentence. four thousand, five hundred and forty-one stanyears ago. I figured people would miss it. It was a choice I made for the first book. Probably not going to continue it in the rest of the books. Too much writing hassle. The prologue is set 200 years in the future. As of this correction...lol
-
Yes, exactly! @ReaderPaul That is how it is pronounced. For the purposes of this story, that was why that specific name was chosen from all of the Q-Ships I had information on from WW I and WW II. If you google Armed freighters and Q-Ships it will show the link to the writer who also wrote about the Trawler (Kilmeny) in WW I that was armed with heavy machine guns.

Thanks for the comment @wenmale64! You're in luck! The second book just dropped. Plenty more where this came from.

“It’s a well-known fact that sailing alone is not recommended.” What Amanda said was correct. It’s not safe to sail alone, but I’ve been doing it anyway for the past six months. Ever since I found out Robert was being unfaithful to me a year ago. Afterwards, he audaciously attempted to seek alimony. To his dismay, I have been working with my lawyers for over ten years, and he was not pleased when I became aggressive. Lawfare is such a beautiful tool to get people to leave you alone. I smiled as

Eric has done well in his life. Born at the right time. Invested at the right time. Walked in on his boyfriend at the right time. To find him cheating. His plans for a world sailing trip vanished and he decides to take a few weeks to sail to Hawaii. Once again. At the right time.

Thanks for the comment @akascrubber! A logical extension of past ideas to include something larger than a fighter that could enter the asteroid fields and provide another layer of weapon's systems and fire power for a battle.
