Thanks for the comment @akascrubber! Marc knows how to let his displeasure be known in subtle ways that have lasting effects.

Thanks for the comment @ReaderPaul! Hugo was never intended to be such a large character. Now he's reached the point where it is needed and when I fired up the name generator, Channing popped out as my best choice. Hugo just sounds like he's a Channing. Marc learned from the best.

Thanks @ReaderPaul for the comment! Yeah, Marc made it a point to be out on the first of the Comet Class Frigates. That is what had him groan at the first books end. He was pulled into the designing.

Marc Alexander Student Training Center Low Point Station Moira Sector My Link vibrated to let me know I had a message. A look around the room and everyone was busy. Including our instructor. Quick flip of my arm and a glance at my wrist allowed me to see the message. The flying brick has returned. I smiled as I packed up my tablet and stood to depart the classroom. We can come and go as we please. Especially since I am over a week ahead in my instruction for this term.

Seraph Sector Stanyear 4342 Multiple fighters maneuvered through the asteroids as the Officer motioned, and the view smoothly zoomed out as they had wanted. The full view showed the ship that was trying to retreat as the six fighters pushed the two back towards the Armed Freighter. “Things have definitely changed the past year out here. Control will be pleased it is going in the right direction.” The officer smiled as the Frigate dropped out of Jump. Right in the middle of the a

Two for One Book 2 The continuing story of Marc Alexander and friends as he navigates life in the family corporation, training, politics, lovers, mining, meetings and pirates. Helping people along the way as he starts his fledgling mining company. More problems than answers that can be easily attained.

Thanks @centexhairysub for the observation! And there is the line that sets the stage for events in the future. Since nobody mentioned it, I will. The dates between the prologue and chapter 1 differs by 200 years. The last paragraph in the prologue is one of several clues to what is coming in the future.

Thanks for the comment @ReaderPaul! Yes, it did and additions to the others. Two for One drops Friday and Dances with Whales drops tomorrow. That should keep everyone reading over the weekend. 😀
-
Thanks for the comment @VBlew! Fated mates are 1 in 1000. So, no they have to find there mate the old-fashioned way. Date everyone until you find them. Merchant ships for intelligence and warfare are as old as boats have plied the water ways. Armed Freighters are usually called Q-Ship's. Very big in WW I and WW II. Also Kilmeny was written about in a poem by Alfred Noyes. Two for One drops Friday Dances with Whales drops tomorrow.

Just don't wave goodbye to them yet. They'll be back @akascrubber! I have been adding other scenes into the other books as Hugo, Janeck and few others will be making appearances.
-
Janek Wojact ANS Renown Marc has only been gone a day and I miss him already. He is right in that we are not mates, but I love him. More importantly, he showed to me he knows I love him as much as he loves me. I sighed as I stepped into the training room for our next day of classes. Thorp gave me an understanding pat on the shoulder as I found my seat. The rest of our day was a combination of classroom training and flight training. Rory and myself with six of the other pilots, w

gobbledygook - Word of the Day - Wed Aug 21, 2024
P. E. Knapp commented on Myr's blog entry in Writing World
I'm late to the party on this one, but in my world. Gobbledygook is usually what I get from my Goddaughter when I ask her a question. I am certain she will be a politician when she gets out of college. Certainly sounds like one! -
Weekly Wrap Up (Aug. 18 - Aug. 24)
P. E. Knapp commented on wildone's blog entry in Gay Authors News
That just reminded me of how rusty my German is. Bedauerlicherweise But! I still have my Grinch boxers and hat I can regift. I'm ready! -
@drsawzall Thanks! It has been a good run for this part of the story. Many more to go.
-
Thanks @ReaderPaul for the comments! Hugo? I have no idea what his last name is... never wrote one in as he didn't have the larger part he had in this book. Possibly we should have a poll for that over in the forum? Two sisters. Caitlin (older) and Jessica (younger). I think this should work. 😀
-
Thanks @centexhairysub for the comment! Yeah, Marc has both the good and bad dreams. Marc loves Jessica to death. Even if she is a pain occasionally. The family percentage split. I think I'll drop that over in the Story Discussion Forum. That's one of those items that needs to be posted there too. The great grandfather, Joshua Alexander's mate was a Campbell. Hence how they are part of the family. The Armstrong's had always had close ties to Joshua Alexander and that was made even stronger by Bonding (Marriage). More gets explained in the next chapter.

Thanks @akascrubber for the comment! Marc has too much to do and not enough time to do it in for the next few weeks.

It took me an hour as we went over the group’s brief excursion through one of my favorite asteroid belts. In the end, I was happy with them. Probably pushed more because I would have time with one Ensign Janek Wojact for a few days. That made me happy. That made him happy. I was looking forward to tonight. The entire gang was going to join us at the Pizzeria. Holding hands with Janek surprised those unaware of our relationship. I was satisfied with Thorp taking the time to explain it to th

Thanks @centexhairysub! Yes. The company. I keep dropping tidbits along the way but should probably add a deep dive into it. I should use Jessica again for that. Janek is in his final days of seeing Marc as more than friends... then the real adventure begins for him and his new life away from Vol-Stadt Station.
-
Thanks @gmc! The next two are already in revision and editing. Should drop right on schedule on next Saturday, with this book ending Thursday.
-
Thanks @ReaderPaul! As I have said in earlier comments. While this Book may end in the next week, the next book continues the story of Marc. The first chapter should drop on the same schedule as these. Possibly being next Saturday as i believe the last chapter of this one will post Thursday. Old friends, new friends, new adventures in the rocks and elsewhere in book 2. His friends, exlovers, ect... set the stage for events in later books.
-
Thanks @akascrubber! Marc, as maybe you have already guessed, is a very sexually active teenager and everyone s figuring out that providing hotel rooms for privacy is a good carrot to get him to do things. As for command of the Corp. Well. That is answered in book 4. 😇
-
Sorry @drsawzall! Only two, possibly three more. Depends on if I split ch22 back in two and flesh out another angle. But fear not! A few days after the last chapter ends this book, the first chapter of Book2 and the continuing adventures of Marc with old friends, new friends and new challenges will be posted. Also, the prologue and Ch1 have been updated. I don't go by chapters but word counts. This book currently sits around 70,000 words as do the next two. Book 4 is over 200k and will most likely be split into two. Plenty more to read yet about Marc before the story shifts to other characters. (I'm trying very hard not to release too much information on the future books)

“OK. You think you have it under control?” I asked, doing a final check of the controls, as Jessica eagerly waited to take over piloting the shuttle. “Yes.” I could almost hear the addition of Brat under her breath, but I am taking her to Aris and letting her pilot most of the way. “Remember. If I get sited for an error on your part, young miss learners permit, there will be no stop on Aris for chocolates. You may take the helm.” I waited as she placed her feet on the pedals and her l

LOL.🤣 Thanks @drsawzall! I needed that laugh when I logged in. It's been a long day of writing and editing, but that last line caught me just right. All I will say is. It isn't a pooch that he was screwing and the mining is what becomes the beginning of the beginning of something beyond Marc. One thing I've found in writing. When I finished the fourth book (Which I thought was book 1) and realized I had so much to say about Marc, his past, his family and friends. It made it so much easier to write in reverse. Book 4 led to book three, Book 3 led to book 2 and ... you guessed it. Book 2 led to this one. After what I was tapping out today, there may very well be a book 1.5 or 2.5, neither large enough to be a full-sized book. Book four is over 200k words and still growing as I add items and people from books 1-3. I will probably split it into two books at a point I already have for that purpose. At the end of the day. Everything you stated above will be answered in the 4th book. Oh, I can't wait for those chapters to drop. 😉
