I agree about eye contact. If the discussion is important, there must be eye contact. That is not limited to those with ADHD. Most take eye contact as a sign of importance. I know I do.
I already knew what it meant in this thread. It was a while back when I was confused about the meaning. Now, I have clarity. I use internet lingo a lot. In fact I am going to add two to that thread.
When I first saw ATM as internet lingo, I thought of an automated teller machine. I was confused. Anyway, I do look forward to new Harry Potter movies.
My intention for this set of Haikus was to express how depression feels on a personal level and express such feelings that others have as well. This was actually the first set of haikus I have ever written. Hopefully the next set will be happier. Thanks everyone.
I try to listen when others speak. Usually, I can, but there are times when I feel annoyed or put off by another's rantings. I am more likely to listen if the conversation is friendly, and I like the subject. The way I see it people need to also speak well. If the listener becomes bored, the whole speech is moot.
The poem was excellent. You are a gifted poet. He was definitely a fool for treating you that way. You seem to have such a beautiful soul. I cannot imagine why anyone would hurt you like that.
Tim
Lately I have been writing poetry. It really does seem to be a good way to vent. I just wanted everyone to know, however, that I am still working on a chapter for DE:TP. In fact, I wrote several pages yesterday.
In other news, I have also started reading Rich Boy: Awakening. I must say I am liking it so far. I want to be caught up and ready for new chapters of the sequel within the next week or so. If you have not read it, I suggest it.
I researched the subject. That is how. I came up with several facts missing from OotP. I saw the first four movies, but I have not read the books. I have read the last three books however. I will get around to reading the first four at some point.
I had no idea you worked in a long-term care facility. I never liked the terminology either. It is like comparing people to food. I think the term dehumanizes people.
I do like including erotic scenes, but I like my characters to have depth, especially the main characters. Some of the secondary are much more mysterious and rightfully so.
