  1. Ya know, I know what beta reading is. I'm an editor and beta reader first and foremost. I'm talking about the beta reading for a story. Re-read the above posts. To be precise, the story that was mentioned. Sorry. I'm still waiting for the caffine to kick in. And I've started the coffee subject. *cackles*
  2. Coffee or tea? Which one do you drink most often? That is the question. Also, how do you drink it? Iced or hot? Straight or with sugar/cream? Flavored or regular? Tell us! I actually drink both. Coffee: I prefer flavored coffees with a bit of sugar. I enjoy a latte on occasion, but not all that often. I also prefer it hot to cold, unless it's the middle of the summer, then I love it cold. I don't buy Starbucks coffee since it's so strong. On occasion, I will drink expresso, but not often. When I do drink regular coffee, I add flavored creamer, but only just a bit. Usually, just enough to turn it a lighter shade of brown. Tea: herbal mostly. I don't like regular tea because it means I have to use a lot of sugar and creamer, so herbal it is. Green teas, on occasion one type called Madagascar Red Tea. It's an interesting flavor, that's for sure. It's...tangy, spicy yet sweet all at once. So, tell us your fav and how you like it.
  3. You know, I'm going to do that. I'm bored enough to do it to. Just need to work out how I want to write it. *hugs* We all do that. And what in the world are you talking about when it comes to the beta thing?
  4. Can I fall over laughing now? You are known for your cliffhangers and your odd posts. You, dear heart, are not a true luker. You post at least once a week. I'm agreeing with Graeme here. We should do this! Can we do it? Please!? Pretty, pretty please? You three bicker quite well. If I didn't know better, I would say you three are part of a triad the way you play with each other.
  5. I'm talking about the coffee talk sweet cheeks. You know...I'm thinking about asking people about their coffee habits, since so many of us drinks it.
  6. It's cause you cut out the fat that is part of the creamora. No matter what kind, it's got more fat than just milk. I'll stick to flavored coffee and some sugar personally. Anyways, thats and we need to get back on topic. Sometimes you just have those odd nights where you can't sleep. I suggest you try something soothing next time this happens, dear.
  7. That's what usually happens to me. Though for number 1, it's usually me writing something or a really good story. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. the other 2, happens all the time. I usually cure my sleeplessness with a cup of green tea. Puts me to sleep. Ugh, coffee without sugar. The only time I will ever do that is coffee shots. I don't know the actual name for it. And no, not expresso shots, coffee shots. Pretty much, you take the sludge that is known to be in the Yuma Police station and drink a shot glass full of that. It will wake you up for the rest of the day. And it was there before I went to sleep. It was caused because of an earthquake. It was big enough to jerk me around and make me smack my head on my wall. I hit it just enough to make me stress out about a concusion, but not to actually give me one. With my migraines, nothing can kill them, except some MAJOR pain killers, and I mean major. The kind that you have to go to the hospital half the time to get. I'm better though. I have tea in the fridge cooling down and a cup of coffee in front of me. Sweet and Low works just as well as sugar.
  8. Yep. Yesterday. I ended up with a head ache because of it. I finally went to bed and slept until around 3 this morning. Crawled out of it around 5 after listening to the early morning news on my radio. And now, I'm in the same boat as you. Coffee! Here I come! Wait, do I have sugar?
  9. I have to say, that no religion doesn't really matter to me. It's probably because my family may be prominatly Christian, but we do have those who were raised in other religions. I'm of the mind set that as long as the person doesn't try to dictact my movments with the excuse that their religion says I can or cannnot do something, or try to force their beliefs on me, I can care less what they believe in. I believe in quite a bit personally. I still believe in God, but I also have some pagan flavor to my beliefs, but that's just me. As long as they try to understand my stand point, and I understand theirs, I could care less. All I'm interested in when I date someone is if we actually get along.
  10. I want to see that. It looks good and reminds me of 'Bridge to Tarabithia.' Sorry about spelling. I also wanna see Sweeny Todd. I've seen the actual play and the movie looks just as good as it. Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix, eh, some what. I'm still trying to find it for a good price. I have heard that so far, it's the best out of all of the moives. A bit darker, but then again, so are the books.
  11. So, so far, my electricity has shut off twice in 30 minutes, making me lose most of my information and right in the middle of a paragraph to. Both times! I hate dust storms. They get sand every where and irritate my sinuses. It sucks something fierce. But at least it's not snow! That's a good thing, right? Right, anyways. I'm now sitting here with a candle and a lighter within easy grabbing distance as I curse my cold. Apparently if you put me into a cold enviroment, I can walk out side wearing sandles and a light jacket and not get a cold, but you put me into a desert enviroment and I get a cold for three months!! What is it with my system. Of course, this sucks for me because I can't really drink milk, or eat/drink honey, unless it's a really expensive type of honey... Yeah, lovely right? To move on. Since I haven't slept in nearly 24 hours due to said cold, I have written the prolouge and part of the first chapter to my story. I would have written more, but my slice opened and I had to stop so that I didn't bleed all over my key board. Ah, yes, I've sliced open my finger last night. Spent 5 and 1/2 hours at the emergency room for some liquid stiches. Yeah, painful. Very, very painful. I'm drugged on pain killers and cold medicine and I still can't get to sleep! Okay, rant over. Anyways, I'm off to see if I can't finish my paragraph, finally... Byes!
  12. Okay...so....bunny bites hurt...a lot...especially when they're plot bunny bites. I have a name for my newest chapter story. 'A Butterfly's Dream.' Thank you, Grame for the help with the butterfly part there. I have the prolouge in the sneek peek section and I am currently discussing it with Jason. We're trying to build a conversation. It's kinda hard to do when you have no idea what to say. But for now...I'm going to read his blog.
  13. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

    HELP

    That's a loooooonnnnnggg frikin' story.
  15. I chose cheating and leaving for the relationships, and spiders for the real world. The net, I have a fire wall that I update constantly.
  16. You know what! I'm starting to hate those who say they were once gay and are now straight. Want to know why? Because they 'found' Christ! My god people! I don't need to find Him! I already did, a long, long time ago. And you know what? I'm BI LEANING TOWARDS WOMAN! I like a soft curvy body to a hard body. Anyways, the overview says this for the book:
  17. Like I said when I introduced this thread, this is for any and all articles and books that you have found interesting. Mabye I'll start a thread on limitations that people have in relation to their writing and getting things out. Anyways, I'm sorry the surgery didn't work out well for you. I was thinking of physical therapy myself, but first I have to talk to my doctor, get it diagnosed properly and then get my insurance to approve it. Anyways, now that I'm off topic, I have some more recomendations for here. First is 'Webster's Pocket Quotation Dictionary of the English Language.' You'd be surprised at how many plot bunnies have sprung up from reading the various quotes in it. Like they say, inspiration can come from anywhere. Next, I'm going on a tanget about hauntings and the supernatural. I have three sites for New Orleans for now. They are as following: Prairie Ghosts Hollow Hill New Orleans Tours
  18. Thank, love. Such a sweet thing. Anyways, such wonderful suggestions for us who enjoy reading. And I can understand about listening to book being easier than reading. I personally have carpal tunnel so I end up with a wrist brace on more often then not and it's hard to hold a book. I've discovered a pillow on my lap or in front of me to prop the book on works wonders. And on the discussion of carpa tunnel, I have read this article about carpal tunnel. It's straight to the point, gives you plenty of details and it doesn't use big huge words that confuse the little people. Well, not a lot of big, huge words. Just some.
  19. Thank you. *cuddles before bouncing off to do things* It's okay, and we like you being here. *hugs* Welcome and I hope you have more fun. Any thing you would like to recommend for a good read?
  20. I've noticed that. But, I can't talk because I have a habit of doing the same. I know, I was just teasing. I'm cute and cuddly.
  21. *squeals* So cute! I hope the best for both of you. *hugs* Me, I don't really pay attention to what my friends say for the fact that I date some people that they don't like. I try to take into account what my mother does say, but beyond that, I don't really care.
  22. Eh, after book five, I wasn't much of a fan. I don't know. I'll probably try to read book 7 again, since I couldn't stand it to the end.
  23. CONGRATULATIONS, FRENCHCANADIAN!! Seriously though, I love reading what you have to say on subjects and hope that you keep posting.
  24. I have. All I have to say is that it's one of his more twisted stories. It can seem dull in some places but it sets up the ultimate mind bender. Screwed with my writing for like a week after reading it.
  25. Links are very much welcomed since it makes it easier to get to the stories. But nicely done. Are you a lurker? This is your first post.
