  1. Yummy choices, really. I've read 'Interview with a Vampire.' Hell, I've read most of her books. I like the one book by, I think, Christopher Rice. It's a great story about a gay boy who was raped and comes to terms with it over the course of his life.
  2. *hugs* We love geeks. They make such educated statements and help the rest of us become a little bit smarter. Have fun with your studies.
  3. *hugs* I give you feed back as soon as I get around to reading your stories. Promise. But it really sucks when an author just drops off the face of the earth, but it unfortunatly happens.
  4. Not really. It's like one day you need them, the next you can't decide is you need them or not. Its a pain. Don't you just hate that? I do. I'm staying inside unless I'm going to work. You are lucky. I have no spring. I have fall, monsoon and summer. that's it.
  5. I LOVE that book. And there are people out there who actually read school and those long, boring books out there. Right now, I'm going to add (as links to get more details): A Wiccan Bible by A.J. Drew This turned out to be an enjoyable read, even though most books about Wicca are dry and boring and I end up forcing myself to read them for the necessary information (usually only a page of hand written notes). Not only does it have information, but it also has recipies for oils, incesnse and other useful information. Out of 5 stars, I give it 5 out of 5. The Ecyclopedia of Witches and Witchcraft by Rosemary Ellen Guiley: I like this because it doesn't just talk about witches and witchecraft, but also anything supernatural. It's a good thing to read if you want a straight forward definition of something.
  6. I know how you feel. I've found lots of stories that have been abandoned because they lose their muse or just don't update. What really tweaks me is that they don't try to tell their readers what's up with the story. They just...stop. No updates, no authors notes, nothing in their profiles and absolutely no answers from pms when I tell them that I hope they one day continue their writing. But thats only because I'm really into the story. Has this ever happened to you? Have you ever found a story that you enjoyed so much! But then you lose the link? I did that. With CJames 'For the Love.' Anyways, that's anyways.
  7. That is true, though most taboos really don't apply to this day and age, so I'm just waiting for them to die out finally. I'll probably see that when I'm on my death bed.
  8. *thud* *Muse fans* Dang.....Anyways, congrats Tiger!!
  9. It would make things easier for those who don't want to stare at a computer screen more, but it's still a huge undertaking. Also, you would have to get written permission from the writers to even think about doing it. Some writers won't want this to happen, while others wouldn't mind.
  10. Ya know, when I first posted this thread, I wasn't expecting it to set off a religious talk about Taboo's. But hey, this works for me and helps me write my story by giving me insight to the human mind.
  11. I wouldn't doubt it. Thank you for the links, they helped me decide if I wanted to read or not.
  12. Do you have a link? Please remember to include these for others. Let The Music Play By CJames Yes, I finished For the Love last night and I am now moving onto the next story.
  13. Wow, freaky book! Can't wait to read it!! *writes it down* I also forgot one thing. It can be any book, even course books that help others in some ways. With that said: "LB Brief: The Little, Brown Handbook, Brief Version" By Jane E Aaron. This has helped me with not only my own writings but also with the editing jobs I've done. I had to get it for my College Composition 101 class. It cost me some money, but hey, it works.
  14. My question is, what are you reading? It can be either on the net, or in real life, either is fine. Please include a link if it's on the net so other who are interested can get to it. I'll start. 'Witches Night Outs' by Silver Ravenwolf: This is the first book in a series for teens. Yes, I know, I'm 23, but it's a good source for information. It starts out with a girl named Bethany Salem whose boyfriend has died in an accident. She is part of a coven and with their help finds out things about herself and those around her. It's a great series of self discovery and has given me many an idea for my new story. 'Thirteen' by multiple authors. Thirteen short horror storys. It's a good book and includes stories from R.L. Stine, Christopher Pike, D.E. AThkins and Caroline B. Cooney. For the Love by C James: Yes, I'm reading this, finally. I started it a long time ago, but lost the link to it. Edit: I forgot to say, go ahead and self pimp your own writings to. Great way to get readers.
  15. Because we think alike when it comes to American Idol? *innocent look* But to be quite frank, the guys didn't do so bad this week, at least from what I saw. I rather enjoyed some of the songs and the way they were sung.
  16. Okay...um...lets see... It's from the Labyrinth sound track. It's sung by David Bowie and is called "Within You." It's a beautiful song. Go find it. How you turn my world You precious thing. You starve and near exhaust me. Everything I've done, I've done for you. I move the stars for no one. You've run so long. You've run so far. Your eyes can be so cruel, Just as I can be so cruel, Oh I do believe in you. Yes I do. Live without your sunlight. Love without your heartbeat. (Falsetto) I... I...Can't.. live.. within.. you... I can't live within youI... I..Can't live within you
  17. No more heat! I'm already hitting my spring here! I don't need more! I'm celebrating the fact that I don't need my heat box, but I do need my fan.
  18. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BOB!!! I HOPE YOU HAVE MANY MORE!
  19. So, my new story is driving me up a wall already. I actually have to write out an outline for all the ideas, but I have the first paragraph down. Woohoo! Go me! Anyways, I decided to put it out there to see if anyone would be nice and give me some nice ideas.... As I sit here at my desk, stareing at my computer screen and the words that I type out, I find myself confused about something. I know I keep hearing the samething over and over again, but still it leaves me confused. Is being gay really that bad? Anthology is complete and with moonwolf. Characters changed to Conell and Kasha Jai. Conell, if I remember correctly, means Strong Wolf. Kasha...I forgot what it means. Oops?
  20. You put those ghosts to rest, mourn your lost child hood and move on with your life. It sounds that your parents weren't really parents and that is no way to grow up. *hugs* I hope you feel better and become happy and not high. Rose
  21. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NICK!!! Rose
  22. I would like to say welcome to my co-writer that I've talked about, CM or as known here GypsyBitch! Welcome to Gay Authors dear. Enjoy the site.
  23. So as I finish off my anthology story and send it off to my wonderful editor, moonwolf, I find myself reading one of the posts in the teen section of the forums and can't help but remember my own search for answers during that time. And so, a single thought has turned into a story called Finding My Way. I will not be posting for a while yet. I want to get some major chapters written first. A boy chronicles his life as he finds out who he is and what he wants in life, love, religion and from his family and friends. A tale of confusion, discovery and coming to know ones self.
  24. Thanks. It's a big project but fun.
  25. *throws confetti* Yay for GA!! So cool.
