  1. I haven't figured out how to deal with it and it's been close to 16 years, so don't look for me to start a thread about it.
  2. Your sense of humor never fails to leave me !!!

Thanks Rose. It's been fun so far. Hard work to be sure but interesting and challenging, all of which are things I think are fun.
  4. I enjoy going out to eat. It's about the only chance I get to socialize with people in the real world. What kinds of teas make the best marinades?

Finding readership is part of what he and I are working on. If you need any assistance please let me know.

Hello and welcome, Michael. Are you perchance the friend "A" told me about?
  7. Of course!
  8. That's just my favorite BBQ joint. I have lots of favorite restaurants. Usually I pick a restaurant based on what I know I want to eat. Rarely do I need to look at the menu. Have I mentioned I can burn/scald water? Yeah, I'm that bad a cook. So I eat out or order in almost every meal.
  9. You know how hard I've struggled with this issue and I just can't get past it. Let's talk about that in private like we usually do please.
  10. When I goto my favorite BBQ restaurant my waitress, Beth, always sees me walk in. By the time I get to one of her tables she's got a quart of sweet tea and some baked beans waiting for me. After that all she has do is ask me, baby backs or brisket. Ah, it's nice to have had the same waitress for the past 16 years. She was just a kid when she started. Now she has kids of her own. BTW, this place makes some of the best sweet tea I've ever had. They won't divulge any of their trade secrets so I have no idea what brand they use or it, like much of their stuff, it's a homemade concoction.
  11. Let's please try to deal with real-life exes. Thanks. The reason I had a problem with the vote was because there was no option for how to deal with an ex that wasn't supposed to be an ex. My first ex and I were together for 17 years before stupidity caused him to be killed during Hurricane Andrew in 1992.
  12. Yah, and CJ doesn't write cliffhangers. If that's not misleading then I could lead you almost anywhere.
  13. In the south it's always sweet tea season cause it's almost always hot down here.
  14. Scar would never be that merciful.
  15. I don't know how this turned out. Hopefully well. One thing I noticed was you were going to his place. To me that's a smart decision. At least if things go badly you can just leave as opposed to trying to kick him out of your place. That could get ugly. How about an update please! I've had two exes. One died. The other cheated on me. I'm not sure how to vote. I'm still angry at the first one. The second one might fall into the murder with an axe and hide the body category. I did try one more time, albeit I would not call him a boyfriend. We went out once. A play and dinner. The negative vibes from him were unbearable. We live in a culturally diverse community. He constantly bitched throughout the whole afternoon and early evening whenever he saw a Cuban, Haitian, someone from Central America, anyone who didn't appear to be from here. By the end of the date when he asked if I'd call again I told him no. I received a scathing e-mail from him about how I'm just as bad as the Cubans. It made me chuckle and confirmed my decision to end things after the first date.
  16. I guess the second option comes the closest to how I pronounce it. To me it's meer as in meercat.
  17. Sort of like a credit card!
  18. It costs about US$12.00 per pound, and is only sold by the case; six 2.2 pound bags per case.
  19. A friend of mine just turned me on to, Lavazza Grand Espresso Coffee Beans. The chocolate undertones to the finished product make it well worth the price.
  20. What about, "he's gone to a better place?" How do they know in which direction he went?
  21. Thanks. They do have quite a selection. I just ordered a 3-pack of Summer Blend Ice Tea. Seemed rather inexpensive.
  22. I guess that explains the nonplussed looks I usually get. And in all fairness I've never said it directly to the person whose loved one just died. It's usually to some third-party who's just informed me that so-and-so has died. PS: Thanks Tris.
  23. I've tried Bigelow and didn't like it. What is stash?
  24. Here's two that are related to death that annoy me to no end. I sometimes even make an inappropriate comment: 1. I lost my boyfriend. Did you bother to go looking for him? 2. My sister is gone. Well, when will she be back? Why can't people just say someone is dead?
