  1. I just saw the movie Kids, and it was rife with such sexual miscinceptions. There's a part where it cuts between the girls and the guys talking about sex and it's not even funny to hear, just disturbing. Especially when the two girls went to get tested, the slut and the one who only slept with one guy, and hearing them answer the questionnaires was equally upsetting. The slut who'd had unprotected sex in every orifice, turned out negative, but the other became infected by that one guy. That one guy, in the meantime, is addicted to sex with virgins, so he infects them on ther first time. While she loks for him, he goes out andhas sex with yet another very young virgin. It's at a party that she finds him, but is never able to talk to him because she accidentally drinks something with some date rape drug in it and is raped while unconcscious, thus infecting him too. Out of the five people to have contracted AIDS from unprotected sex by the end of that movie, only one knew about it.
  2. I know that numer 2 is from The Secret of NIMH. 1 continues to baffle me.
  3. I understand, I ususally just go to the "sort by" button and scroll through whichever apply to what I'm looking for. It is tedious, though
  4. Ooh, Alec, I forgot about the prospects there. I wouldn;t be too surprised if it did turn out to be him.
  5. Maybe it's just 'cause I've been watching way too much Carnivale (HBO is my life), but if Justin is fulfilling some sort of prophecy, maybe Rage is his opposite, like a ying vs. yang sort of thing. I want to see the fate of all vampires culminate in their battle.
  6. Welcome, I look forward to sampling your work.
  7. thank you nothing matches the thrill of logging on for the first time all day and seeing a topic with my name in it.
  8. It;s interesting you should bring that up because I just got back from a day trip into the city (NYC) with friends and one took us to the Larry Clark gallery at the Internation Center of Photography and they had a screening of Kids going on. It had a character with AIDS and it was such a moving and disturbing look at teen sex, drugs, violence, etc. Anyone not familiar with his work should definitely check it out, especially his movies, like Another Day in Paradise, or Bully.
  9. I love Unrequited
  10. here's a music smiley But it;s a URL, so if you want to use it you have to click IMG in the reply window and type in http://community.the-underdogs.org/smiley/happy/music765.gif
  11. Whenever I'm chatting with someone at a party and I have literally nothing to say to them so I go into an existential crisis and re-examine my whole life all while asking myself, "In the entire time I've been on this earth, is it possible that nothing worthy of conversation has happened to me?" Or the tragically high number of people whom I encounter on a daily basis who's voices linger on that exact, piercing frequency that I simply cannot block out when they begin rambling about something or other.
  12. Shall i put up another from the same movie? Very well: "He was the only man I ever killed worth remembering." That one's a major hint (don't expect too many more quotes, it's hard to find non-vulgar ones HINT HINT).
  13. Mr. Brightside is great and I've loved Caramel ever since I heard it in a trailer for "Closer" Which reminds me, if you like Suzanne Vega, try "I worry about you" by Ivy, she's pretty good.
  14. Sorry, it certainly took me long enough didn't it? Anyway, here are my quotes: 1) "What we were after now was the old surprise visit. That was a real kick and good for laughs and lashings of the old ultraviolence. " 2) "They don't speak English in New York anymore?" (from the same movie, so I think that counts as a hint.) Quotes 1 and 2, however, are from different movies.
  15. Wow, that sounds great. Good Luck with your genre-tapping
  16. My iPod is my IV, and because of iTunes I haven't set foot in a CD store in years. Latey, I've been listening on my radio (I connect my iPod to it) this tune I heard on a Khalua ad. It's "Montserrat" by Orquestra Del Plata. I reccomend it highly to anyone into classical, jazz, etc. I like to visualize an art museum robbery to this song.
  17. Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! YES!!! I swear, you just made my weekend, C!
  18. It's good, but it might come off as too generically gay as opposed to unique to GA. It's a nice gesture, though.

  21. Don't you get enough comments on Nifty? I post my stories there for comments because it's a resource for readers. This is more of an authors community, so I prefer just to talk about writing or editing and whatever else when I'm here. I did read your story, but I'm squeamish and had to skip a few parts. Still, I found it riveting. Happy Now?
  22. OMG That's amazing! I've always wanted to go there. A friend of mine did a while ago and thought it was fantastic. I've been to France, Morocco, England, Portugal, Italy, and Argentina, so it's kinda weird that I've never been to Spain. I've always wanted to go to Prague.
  23. Good Luck and Bon Voyage.
  24. As I continue Underworld, there are some things for which i would like to add photos or illustrations. But only certain objects or locations.
  25. I AM CURSED. Every forum I join somehow runs into problems and ends up dying on me. When I joined the Bill Maher forums (I'm very political) not five posts after I joined people began walking out to go to Political Nutshell, and it was just me in this barren void of a forum. Now here is falling apart too! This isn't good. I just joined disinfo.com, next thing you know their servers will mysteriously be destroyed in a fire that scorched my R into he floor. Where else would you go? Even if you don't get feedback, it's an author's community, I have Nifty for feedback!
