  1. The Twilight Struggle H'Ajar and Eannatum names are long forgotten. The empire of Eannatum fell like many empires after it. The land was still fresh and lively with artisans and craft makers of all fields. Towards the west of Sumer, a pair of cities dominated the trade of artisans and craftsmen. The city of Sodom and Gomorrah were the centers of commerce and intellect. Many will later claim debauchery and sin upon these lands, but history is written by the victors. Only those that have r
  2. Where we begin: At the dawn of human civilization, when the beginnings of our societies had yet to be set, mankind had developed the first tools, the first cities, and the first weapons. Throughout history and time, mankind shall develop its tools, create larger cities, and develop more fearsome weapons. Yet, only a few began the slow journey towards love; most willfully or ignorant to the fact chose a life planned with marriages of convenience and short spurts of lust. H'Ajar wa
  3. My Premise: Maybe I have been watching too many old movies, but there is something about eternal love that gets me thinking. What if someone could love not only in this lifetime, but love eternally? I won't argue in favor of reincarnation, because most people would be in an uproar to think that they'd never go to heaven or be happy they are never damned to hell. The far east has developed many different religious and philosophical assumptions on this concepts and the writers have built t

    Chapter 2

Part II (Trevor Perspective) I will never understand these stupid human prohibitions about sex. If I wanted to hump something that I liked, then I do it. Maybe that's why Brad was so unhappy, he needed to just let loose. Well, "to be wise and love, exceeds man's might", but let me just say, if it had been up to Brad, I might have to chew off my dick before he wanted to start something. Maybe it was the human side of me, but my feeling were different towards Brad after the firs

    Chapter 1

(Trevor's Perspective) Everyone says that a dog's life is much simpler and easier than a human's life. Well, they're idiots; any being with the ability to love and hate will never have a simple life. I got four limbs, you have four limbs. Sure, I walk on all four of them, but it doesn't make me a lower form of life. With the possible exception of my brother, who enjoys chasing his tail too much, dogs aren't a lower form of life. Before we get started on the story, my name is Trev

  8. Log June 1st 2030 0900 Hours, Co-Chief of Applied Sciences, Andrew Anderson-Carlson Has anyone ever truly dreamed that they would be in a science fiction story? I guess we are all in a science fiction story; as sometimes reality is stranger than fiction. In the last week I’ve done one of the most miraculous things in the universe; traveling to a distant place at speeds beyond the limits of human ingenuity. I’ve learned some of the greatest truths about knowledge and life. I’ve been ponderi

Log May 31st 2030, Military Commander, Brett Monroe, 0600 hours I haven’t seen Myrden cry so much ever since Felix died. He was completely broken by Patrick’s suicide. He tried to be un-biased during this investigation, but it was to the detriment of a young man’s life. CID officers were trained to investigate military guys, who have gone through rigorous mental training; the CID has to be tough on suspects as any less would create no results. He did his job as he was taught to do, but I know

Log May 30th 2030, Co-chief of Applied Sciences, 0900 Hours John Anderson Carlson Well, we have just solved a mystery of where we came from. You know science fiction has always interested me. I guess that explains why I ended up with Andy, the biggest sci-fi fanatic that you will ever meet. Even so, Andy was stunned by what he heard last night. It was far more than what we had ever dreamed or feared. About 200,000 years ago when humanity was still going through the evolutionary cycle that

We left Earth in search of a new home away from our humanity, but we found more humanity along the way. Ben is weighing the options for revealing this mystery to the fleet and I am the one to implement whatever he chooses. No one outside the command council knows this discovery, but word has sp

Log May 28th 2030, 0800, Dr. Gregory Faust: I had the best sleep in years. Perhaps, it was the knowledge that the long struggle has finally ended, and I could raise my son in peace. I never felt sorry for what I did? Maybe, I am unrepentant, but I do not feel that there was much to repent about. If they had the means, they would have done the same to us without any regret. Maybe, I am being heartless or acting out of anger, but when I look at Adam and think about what they did to Henry; I jus

I can never forgive mankind for killing all those innocent people and defenseless children. I can never forgive mankind for killing my little Brother. I know Ben took Jeff’s death much worse than me, but he has not grieved like I have. I fear that this revelation will open those old wounds in him. At

Week One Log May 26th 2030, 0100 hours, Director/General Benjamin Cross: This should be a dream; a human deep space mission to another solar system. We might not have warp drive or hyperspace, but it should be awesome. Yet, the reason we must leave is quite depressing. We are not explorers, colonist, or even captain Kirk; we are refugees, exiles, and unwanted. We are running from our home, because our world does not want us. What is to say this new world is any better than the world we

    Introduction

By the mid-21st century, mankind has grown by leaps and bounds. The technological innovations of the early 21st century, along with the conflicts from that era, have paved the way for far greater gains than anyone could have imagined. Yet, the old institutions of mankind such as fear, hate, and helplessness still consume our conscience. Mankind lives in interesting times to say the least. With the advent of new innovations in alternative energy, energy became a commodity rather than a necessi

A band of refugees leave earth for a new world. What they discover on this journey will mesmerize, amaze, and bring terror unlike anything before.
  17. Actually, I have that's why I spend $120 a year on an identity protection service before it happened. It is worth every penny. As for sexual privacy, It's not really something most people care that much about either way, unless your roommate secretly wants to join in . If movie stars can be photographed secretly in intimate situations for years for the public eye, let's not kid ourselves that a double standard can exist for everyone else. People like to hear gossip, but they hate to hear themselves in that gossip. We went down the road of perdition long before Facebook was conceived.
  18. Yup, but Beignets are overrated. It's just a fancy way of saying Krispy Kreme Donut Coffee was good though.
  19. Only those that fear reality, should fear the internet I am a tech oriented person, so I love the discussion about technology and society. I'm in the mindset that there is nothing wrong with openness as long as it is not used in a malicious way. I use Facebook on and off from College to now. It's fun and interesting; it connects us in ways that nothing in the past thousand years have connected humanity. We've all been touched by internet social networks in one way or another. Privacy is a Victorian ideal that is dying out like powdered wigs. Back even during the late 17th and 18th century enlightenment era, families were sleeping in the same bed in Europe completely naked and they were fine with it. People didn't hide their lives as much as we are used to, with exceptions, when certain actions were considered immoral like adultery and gay sex. As many others have pointed out, your information is no longer private, probably a government database already has your information and everything else. The old days of being able to live like a hermit in the woods are gone. As such, I don't see privacy as an innate human freedom, rather it is a limitation to human interaction. I list my phone number on Facebook without fear as the worst that may happen are a few telemarketers.
  20. I just realized that my link to Exodus lead to nowhere. Just fixed it to redirect to my off site story page. Now to something more interesting: New Orleans was fun and the food was awesome. The Psychic reading at Jackson square was weird, but cool. I wonder if any guys I know are Scorpio, black haired, and 5'8 to 5'5. Supposedly, I will marry him and our romance will begin soon. Cross your fingers. Food wise, I highly advise trying the crawfish, shrimp , and Crab Cakes in New Orleans. However, the party scene is highly overrated to be honest; it''s just a bunch of small bars and fruit drinks; there wasn't what I was hoping for. (Maybe, I am hoping for too much, but my vision of New Orleans was a free spirited city of half naked guys and girls partying up without a care in the world, where hedonism knew no bounds and life was good.) Guess Katrina hasn't really left the city's consciousness and things have sobered to a great extent in New Orleans, sadly.
  21. I guess everyone has heard the big news about our new Serpent Tamer friend joining the other signs and throwing everyone's lives off track. Ah, scared housewives are tweeting their fears that their husbands might run off with the new manly serpent tamer sign and probably build a nice house on Mars. New Signs for 2011 I'm now a Gemini, which makes a little more sense for me versus being a Cancer. It's very funny how everyone is going crazy over a change in Astrology, I read charts for a little bit of the humor and half hearted interest, but if you seriously base your entire life on this, it's pretty weird.

  23. One of my favorite plays, Tennessee Williams was great Southern Master, who crossed the border of ante-bellum society with gothic southern. A brutal tribute to harsh reality and even harsher truths of the modern financially unstable south of the early 20th century. Still my dear friend, "I've always depended on the kindness of Strangers". Hopefully the world famous southern hospitality hasn't completely disappeared. Probably will just go for the food, but I would mind meeting a few southern gay guys.
  24. I've heard good stuff about New Orleans being the best place to go for a twenty year old looking for fun and excitement. I love crawfish and gumbo, I can't wait to try a genuine New Orleans steamed crawfish with butter or the Alligator Gumbo. I am going this long weekend in order to avoid the crowds and overpriced food around mardi gras. Also, it's the only place other than Florida that hasn't snowed or closed down due to ice storms I really want to get nice and warm, maybe a little hot and sexually uninhibited, too (Yes, my boyfriend and I had an argument over some stuff, so who knows what could happen, maybe I could get swept away by a Southern gay gentlemen caller.)
  25. Just wondering if what I should do, when I go to New Orleans, Louisiana, and what I should avoid? Any good gay traveling tips to the gateway of the South? I am open to anything from tips to which places are better to hang out with gay guys to local food joints and secret surprises.
