  1. Oh, and thank you for In My Life! A song I recognize and remember well! Probably more Teddy’s taste than Ryder’s, but the Beatles are kind of universal, aren’t they? ;-)
  2. TMZ was reading my previous chapter Comments! They just forgot to mention Oli’s other ‘father’, Teddy! I keep saying that Oli is almost the kid they could have had if they had gotten married when they were teenagers! ;-) My headline could still happen, paparazzi could have gotten a few shots of the three guys together on the beach before Harry came out of the house! ;-)
  3. A voice from the Civil War...a time when more than 650,000 Americans died in the struggle to free enslaved African Americans.
  4. I’m used to the US ADA-mandated (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessible buses in my very urban area. Most kneel and also have a ramp that flips out. Even the much maligned Dutch Van Hool buses that AC Transit bought starting in 2003 have them. This is the shortest Van Hool version (30') AC Transit bought. They bought a whole series of them including 40’, articulated 60’, and a few hydrogen fuel cell buses. This line serves the UC Berkeley campus. They are being replaced by Gillig buses which include some hybrid buses. Gillian is a local, Bay Area company based in Livermore (Hayward until last year). The Gillig buses have a longer, more normal wheelbase so the ride is smoother than the choppy ride on the Van Hools.
  5. Wasn’t that the guy that Mike and Blake beat up? I think a name was mentioned at some point. But my memory is bad with names… ;-)

    Health Crisis

Sometime what we see as purpose and order is really other people rushing by chaotically trying to just get things done. Everyone is a Pachinko ball bouncing around at random, most end up in the center of the bell curve, a few on the outer edges. Fate keeps flinging more Pachinko balls into the game. ;-)
  7. His arthritic hands may play a large part in that too! Even if he wanted to try some of the basic recipes that occasionally are shown on TV, for kids to do, as an example, Eric would struggle physically. I doubt anyone ever taught him how to cook when he was a child, that was “women’s work’ back then! ;-)
  8. Powdered soup is probably more expensive than Eric can afford. Most convenience foods are much more expensive than making it yourself – unless they’re so full of artificial ingredients and sodium that you wouldn’t want to consume them. The easy-open packaging that most of us take for granted generally comes with a higher price too. It’s a shame that there probably isn’t a food bank in the area where Eric lives – maybe the agency Andy volunteers with can start one up! ;-) Maybe Adam can get Eric a small collapsable shopping cart so he doesn’t have to carry everything in his hands when he shops… ;-)
  9. Old, yes. Woman, no. I made biscuits the other night, but you probably meant what we would call ‘cookies’ in the US. I’m also not a fan of British-style black tea. Japanese green tea is okay, but I prefer cola if I want caffeine. I hate coffee, the smell is nauseating. ;-)
  10. Who are you calling a lady? I’m no lady! Not that there’s anything wrong with being a lady. But my sexual identity matches my genitalia (and presumably my chromosomes –there’s never been any reason to test them). As Mr Rogers used to describe it, I’m fancy on the outside! ;-)
  11. But I’m just warning the poor, innocent little boy just in case things start happening. It seems to be contagious and Tracy and the other guys have been exposed to it! Someone needs to warn the little guy! ;-)
  12. Yeah, but I’m not the one who’d be pranking poor, innocent little Benny! I’m not the one who seems to love these Prank Wars! I’m not the one with the terrible reputation for creating orphans. ;-)

I vote for this one! TMZ: Ryder Sullivan 3way with BF & teen! Relax, @Hellsheild. It’ll just be the brothers playing on the beach. Just normal horseplay. But the tabloids will definitely see it in the worst possible way! ;-)
  14. …And then they met Tony’s family! I’m surprised there were no lingering odors – or did Kaleb’s Lasagna masked the odors? The Andersons are managing to overlook all sorts of things! ;-)

What you mean things might be going too smoothly or something? ;-)
  16. So the Prank War frontline shifted from Will & Liam’s house to Kyle & Blu’s house? ;-) Watch out Benny, they’ll be coming for you next! ;-)

Maybe he meant Homecoming? After Messiah played during halftime and after Ryder made the speech denouncing the school administration for allowing bullying. (My memory is a little weak.) ;-)
  18. Wouldn’t it be ironic if Dustin became Valedictorian only to announce his homosexuality in his speech! Maybe he could name-drop a few prominent citizens before he gets dragged off the stage by the Principal and Mr Taylor! Of course, he’d be taking himself out of the running too, if he takes Doug Sanders to the Prom. ;-)
  19. After thinking about it for a while, Billy’s rebound boyfriend should be the Son of a Preacher Man, Nate! That would have the bonus of ticking off Carl too! Why not multitask while you revenge date? ;-)
  20. Besides, don’t count out Sarah Taylor doing something incredibly stupid in the last few weeks of the school year. I’m sure if she really tries, she can pull off something that even the administration and her father can’t ignore! Get caught by the entire school having sex on the auditorium stage? A lunch hour ‘wardrobe malfunction’ in the cafeteria? Refusing to take a final? Cursing out the Principal?

I don’t know why the Haners (and we) were so surprised that Ryder would choose to fly by private plane! He’s a Rock Star! Even First Class (especially these days with the way the airlines are packing everyone in like sardines) isn’t special enough for the Rock Star! If you’ve got the money, why not spend some of it? Especially when spending money means people get to keep their jobs! ;-) But, speaking about money, has Ryder put any money where his mouth is? Has he donated any money to help ostracized or bullied kids? Any money for suicide prevention? Funding for sheltering homeless LGBTQ kids (or adults)? I don’t think anyone expects him to give away his fortune or his houses, but I’m sure his accountants are very aware of the tax advantages of charity. Where’s the Ryder Sullivan Foundation? Or maybe it’d be even more appropriate to name the Foundation after his Grandmother and/or his parents! ;-)
  22. I’m sure that this wasn’t the first time, nor will it be the last time, that someone might be baffled by one on my comments! ;-)
  23. That’s exactly what I was going to point out! ;-) Everything is about Billy. Billy is so narcissistic that he’s totally clueless about Brett’s feelings. He disregards everything everyone one has been saying and wonders why no one ‘smacked him upside the head’! I think they tried, but Billy is smarter than everyone around him. Good thing Twitter hasn’t been invented yet…
  24. Does Adam know a lonely aging actor? ;-)
  25. I think that Sarah’s problem might be that Eric reminds her of what she might be like, who she’s working hard not to be. She’s making sure that ‘undesirables’ don’t start using her office as a warm and dry shelter from the weather outside. She’s protecting her territory and attempting to maintain the proper standards of the neighborhood. ;-)
