Commander Ross and his team got off the ship. The men took a deep breath and looked around. The sun was up. It was almost noon and the temperature had climbed. It was hot and the air was humid and smelled of decay. It was the typical feel and smell of the tropics. The vegetation resembled a rain forest on Earth. The Globe, New York, August 9, 2068 A new era in spaceflight began on August 8, 2068, when spaceship Shiva took off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The interstellar spaceship is headed for the star system X104 close to the galactic center, approximately 25,000 light years from Earth. Hi, Stephen. Sumeru is an independent story. I wrote a sequel to Space Pioneer about a secret project, but I'm unsure whether to post it or not because it's a bit 'uncommon'.
