Because Keiran is widderkin, his father, the High King, seeks great secrecy and so doesn't want to widen the already growing number of elves being involved. At the moment there's no one in a fit state to help, with the triads back-lashed, Maynor in a healing trance, and Uirebon clobbered. The High King can't really send anyone new, or even go himself, until he finds some way to locate the group. Whoo! After migraines, memory changes, Rhys taken twice and now the Spooks, there's a great deal of negativity and suspicion against the perpetrators. - a big task for any emissary. We'll see!

Wow! I love the 'golam' description of the Fetch. I left the description fairly indeterminate on purpose but that's very close to my own idea of what they're like. And, yep, the elven king's not a happy chappy.

Chapter 15. The next step after catching the fish was to get a cooking fire going and everyone gathered closely to watch Kieran make yet another call on the Opal and ignite the handful of carefully chosen dry grass and leaves. Rhys cheered and Tan gave a whoop of delight when the first wisp of smoke changed to a healthy little flame. Woorawa took over and methodically added small twigs, then sticks, and then larger pieces of wood he'd previously gathered, till the fire was burning strongly.

'Power vs. Love' - I love the term. There are many adventures ahead of any such resolution. (lol - I kind of know, but not with certainty - that as yet unwritten part is still evolving in my mind.)

Yikes! I covered the sharp eagle talons at Keiran's first encounter at the Valley of the Eagles but didn't even think about it here. - minor revision and editing required. Thanks, Timothy. Lots of exploring ahead ... and survival is definitely on the agenda.

Yep! You're nearly right - they're caught in the RealmS for a while. The Wall confounds the companions and leads to situations that are indeed malevolent.

Thank you. Yes. Keiran and his friends are faced with the mysteries and workings of the Realms while the High King and his coterie are bamboozled by the thwarting of their intentions.

You make very interesting speculations @Bushman60 The High King believes he is acting in the best interests of both his son, Keryth/Keiran, and the Realms. Keiran's defenses against mental incursion are at a level never before seen in the world of Faerie so not exactly a reclamation of memory. Yep, we'll have to wait and see. A rapidly looming concern for the group will be the basic survival need for food and water.

Great to hear of your enjoyment. The nature of the companions' adventures and dramatic times changes with this transfer to the Realms. Hmm! The timing for the next post is a bit uncertain I'm afraid. I put a lot of time in to make this chapter a double length post because of imminent travel plans. (also so the flow of the major events wouldn't be interrupted.)

Lol - something gives me the feeling you're not really all that sad about the plans going so awry. And confrontations coming up - well I won't deny that - BUT - how will they manifest? - lots of room for conjecture there.

Thanks again. The magic/power elements of the story ramp up considerably from now on along with other big changes. Maynor's influence is a big issue and comes to a head in the next chapter.
