Hmm! You're right, Thorn. I did a Course on Self Publishing with our Council of Adult Education here in Australia and I accepted what the the lecturer said. A few minutes on the Web shows otherwise. Lol - one of my favourite stories about Self Publishing is now trashed. -

'You don't get JK Rowling stories anymore. You can't just send your manuscript to a publisher.' I love the J K Rowling story as proof of the value of Self Publishing - evidently she received 17 rejections from Publishers for her first book because it had no hope of selling and it was only after she Self Published that it was recognised. SO! Good for you, Thorn! Who knows what's ahead. -
Yay for Shark Bay! - It's actually a World Heritage area and your diving characters could encounter the stromatolites, the dugongs, the famous blue crabs, and of course, the dolphins. There's plenty of opportunity for drama too, as the area wasn't named Shark Bay for nothing.

Lol - I couldn't resist putting it in - especially after one of my searches (the Urban Dictionary) came up with a meaning of 'splendor, magnificence, suave pageantry' which certainly seemed rather apt. As for real meaning, there doesn't seem to be one, and finding it spelt as 'pompatus', 'pompetous'. and 'pompitous' adds to the puzzle. it sounds good though

Family matters required a trip to the other side of our Aussie continent and spoiled my goal of close to weekly posting. Sorry, but life sometimes sets different priorities for us. I'm home again though and I started work with chapter 38 last night. - hopefully to post tomorrow or, at the latest, the day after.

Ranevargar's reason for creating Maurice was an attempt to combat the disorder and bring life to the Unordered Realm, an attempt which backfired disastrously because Maurice couldn't cope with the disorder. That obstacle is now gone. 'The Opal responded with a call of its own, a call unavailable and unused for a long, long time.' It's my reading that it was the Opal that accessed the Nexus rather than Kieran himself, though with the strength of connection between them I guess that's splitting hairs. Hmm?

'the wise of old' - that has a peculiar and distinctive sound to it. Hmm! We've heard how much it's meant to Woorawa to make that contact with his uncle. If he can get back to Australia I'm sure the meeting would be significant.
