    Chapter 27

lol - no comment - except to say the next post ends where logic dictates it should.

    Chapter 27

OMG! This comment is an inspiration in its own right. I'm working on it right now - well, not quite - I use the mornings to write new stuff and the evenings for revision and editing - but stuff's definitely happening.

    Chapter 27

In fact I love my Dragon software. All my writing is done longhand in notebooks and this two finger typist would go crazy without the transfer to computer by simply speaking. The drawbacks like homophones are minor compared to the drudgery of hunt and peck.

    Chapter 27

Yikes! - as you command so be it! The good news - I reckon it will be ready to post on schedule - despite the extra effort.

    Chapter 27

What? My nice little corner with the window that looks out at the local mountains? The bad news is that last night when checked I realised that storywise I need to combine the next two chapters for the next post. - extra time and effort.

    Chapter 27

Lol - I'm working on it - but there's bad news and good news.

    Chapter 27

Cliffie? What's that? 😉 Yes, who? - well, I suppose we have some idea - but paralysed and helpless and he's a Realm Lord - what can that mean for all the companions? We'll have to wait and see - oh! that kind of cliffie -fancy that - drop over in a week's time and much will fall into place. Whoops! The coarse words are now running as they should. Thanks for pointing that out. I blame (1) the speech recognition software for making the change from my hand written notes and (2) my poor old brain for not even noticing. (Ironically the software is called 'Dragon')

    Chapter 27

Chapter 27. "Kieran, to prepare for our journey to the heart of the Unordered Realm, we must return to the Central Grove. I have sent word for provisions and a cohort of Griffins to be readied and told all my Guardians of my coming absence." Krol's head lifted in distress. "Not you, Krol. We need you with us for protection and transport." Ruffled feathers flattened and Kieran sensed the flash of fierce pride and pleasure at his inclusion. "Are we going to fly into Dead World

    Chapter 26

Ranevargar certainly has a different viewpoint towards Widderkin - but with all his concern focused on his own Realm, the machinations of the High Court are probably of little importance to him.

    Chapter 26

Next post is tomorrow at the latest. The unordered monsters are all Ranevargar's doing. The High King's responsibility is to manage the Chaos incursions which bedevil all of Faerie. Well! Ranevargar was already worn down till K and R helped him, so worn down that he couldn't make portals without the Realm Trees. With so many possibilities I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

    Chapter 26

Hmm! - worry is warranted. You're right, they have NO IDEA what is in fact ahead of them.
  12. Palantir

    Chapter 26

Lol - I must say that I really enjoyed this comment.
  13. Palantir

    Chapter 26

Yes, it's a very interesting contrast between Ranevargar's growing concern about both the amount of energy and where it comes from, and Keiran's easy come/easy go attitude to it. And you're right about the preparations.

    Chapter 26

Chapter 26. "Build each step carefully and only trigger the translation after I have checked everything, Kieran." The whole group was dressed and full of expectation for Kieran to take them to their next location, a small Grove surrounded by rainforest at the base of a low mountain range. The laughter and happy excitement of their antics in the oasis were now subdued by Kieran's change to quiet preoccupation with making sure he was ready for this first independent portal, and they were w
  15. Wow, Timothy! The way you shared part of your life in the review touched my heart. Again, thanks!

    Chapter 25

What with Tree Managers, portal spidernets, killer whale sized Guardians, strange energy flows, etc, I can only agree. BUT! - on the other hand, they don't have much information about those interloping Coursers.
  17. Palantir

    Chapter 25

'puppyish anticipation' - lol - I sure smiled at this reaction. yes, anticipate - those Coursers are lurking.
  18. Palantir

    Chapter 25

The Opal does seem to become more and more mysterious. It certainly has Ranevargar puzzled by the similarities, but even greater differences, to his Pearl.
  19. Palantir

    Chapter 25

Yes, after the drama and trauma of Dead World some respite is welcome indeed - but don't forget those pesky Coursers circling as an omen of imminence. Ranevargar is regarded as a spent force in Faerie - I wonder if that might protect him from close scrutiny?
  20. Palantir

    Chapter 25

Hidden link! Hmm - that would be intrigue piled on intrigue - very interesting indeed. But Ranevargar has stated with complete conviction that Keiran and his Opal cannot be separated. Oh No! not Dead World again?
  21. Palantir

    Chapter 24

Yes, there sure is a lot of unraveling ahead for the companions. And, once again, you've honed in on a point of particular interest. - more about the 'illness' after a few more chapters.
