2015 poems - 7. Words written and Words read
Words written and words read,
Like shattered bending trees in
Summer storms,
Do find their seeds, spilled on the
Ground, raising tress in the spring.
Mighty empires when they fall,
If in chaos, blood, or shot-less calls.
Do live on en perpetua in quiet halls
Of ink stained tress.
So too what rises must fall, so too
Do pains bring knowledge, so too
My love you will fall, like the old oak tree
And raise new life in the spring.
These words I writ, I hope you read.
Our love is like the bending tree.
