Poems of K - 1. I still care

Hard

hard to do, hard to follow

hard to even say it out

hard to even think about

hard to try to love yourself

 

Weak

weak as a prey, bleeding out

crying out

dying out

too weak to stand up, too weak to sit down

too weak to care for yourself

 

and

 

Life goes on, no mercy for the forsaken

No one cares, no one wants to be the forgotten

Teardrop falls, losing hope that was never there

 

but

 

You should know, that I still care

This is my first "content" post ever in GA. Thanks for reading, and any comments/critiques/questions are always welcomed. 😊

Edit: a helpful site admin told me about the indent button, and now this poem is shaped a little bit more like how I intended it to be. Yeay.

The shape of the poem is not up to what I want it to be, yet. I'm still trying to figure out how to fix this. ☹️

Edit: fixed it...kinda. Whew.

An intriguing poem. I do hope you will share more of them with us.

 

Our GA poets' community is supportive and welcoming. To get orientated a bit, please see our own little town square, "Live-Poets Society." You can get a feel for who is who, and the areas of interest we each like to explore in our poetry postings. It's also a bit of a workshop forum to test out projects you are working on, but maybe would like some help and feedback.
