This story is full of unprotected sex. We were young and dumb, thinking ourselves immortal, so we did things we shouldn't have done. Unless you're in a dedicated, monogamous, trustworthy relationship, never rely on others to be honest or assume that they have your best interests at heart. Only you can protect yourself from HIV, let alone the plethora of other STDs that can result from unprotected sex.
