Songs of the Heart - 15. Chapter 15 - Memories

To Mog,

I miss you my friend and I hope this does you proud.

Love,

JR

Ten Years Later .......

Lights off, empty bar, and a life full of love. Nessay and Brady were both lost in their thoughts as they stood in the doorway of the bar. It had been goon long run owning it, now they were ready to move to the countryside and slow down their pace of life.

Flipping on the switch, Nessay's eyes focused on a small keychain hanging above the til. Hanging there was a small stuffed Moogle holding a heart with the word love on it. A tear slowly falling from his eye. grabbing Brady's hand he pulled him into the building before throwing himself into his arms. Both began to gently rock as the sadness flowed freely in their tears.

"Oh loved I know it hurts but know she loved you." With that Brady leans down and kisses the top of Nessays head. Sliding one hand into his pocket, he pushed a button. Softly music starts, Nessays crying turning into a sob.

It's been a long day

Without you, my friend

And I'll tell you all about it

When I see you again

We've come a long way

From where we began

Oh I'll tell you all about it

When I see you again

When I see you again

Brady hugged Nessay a little tighter to him, letting himself get lost in the music and song. Tears falling from both of his eyes.

Why'd you have to leave so soon

Why'd you have to go

Why'd you have to leave me when I needed you the most

Cause' I don't really know how to tell ya'

With that feeling goes worse

I know you're in a better place

But it's always gonna hurt

Carry on

Give me all the strength I need

To carry on

Both boys began to sing the lyrics, their minds focused on the person the would always miss. She was part of their lives, one who helped them find each other and teach them forgiveness

It's been a long day

Without you, my friend

And I'll tell you all about it

When I see you again

We've come a long way

From where we began

Oh I'll tell you all about it

When I see you again

When I see you again

How do I breathe without you?

I'm feeling so cold

I'll be waiting right here for you

Till' the day you're home

Carry on

Give me all the strength I need

To carry on

Nessay's voice dropped off as he let out a loud sob. Life wasn't the same, better but still not the same. Brady released his husband and took a step back. letting his head fall back and his eye close he put all his hurt and sorrow into the next lyrics.

So let the light guide your way

Hold every memory as you go

And every road you take

Will always lead you home, home

It's been a long day

Without you, my friend

And I'll tell you all about it

When I see you again

We've come a long way

From where we began

Oh I'll tell you all about it

When I see you again

When I see you again

When I see you again

When I see you again

As the music faded the two men embraced, knowing they would never forget. Heading to the door they flicked the lights off for one last time. Together they exited and headed home to live the rest of the life they deserved.

Look for all the chapters to be redone by then end of the weekend. Also look for a revamped In search off and a book two to Heartsville gang.

Thx,

JR
