A Journey to Egypt - 12. Chapter 12

A Journey to Egypt

Khonsu

Alexander and Reginald were amazed. Both knew they would do anything for Omar after he had saved their lives. Omar was damn good-looking; his skin was the color of warm caramel, and for a fact, they always had fun being around him. So, they finished their drinks, and they made their way to their room. Omar warned them to keep their voice down so as to not wake Kareem. Which made the boys quietly laugh.

They opened the door and went inside the room. They took turns removing a bit of clothing, then kissed and licked each other as they continued to remove each other's clothes. Omar lay down on his back, and Reginald and Alexander lay on either side. Omar prayed to the Gods, thanking them for answering him. Reginald and Alexander tasted so wonderful! A lot more attention would be required.

When they finished, Omar whispered, "I am sorry, but I must return to the other room. But my heart remains here with the two of you." He kissed both passionately with a lot of tongue.

Once Omar had left their room, Reginald turned to Alexander with a wide grin. "Well, that was amazing," he said, his eyes sparkling excitedly. The room still buzzed with the energy of Omar's presence, and Reginald could not help but feel a sense of admiration and gratitude for Omar. Alexander nodded in agreement, a smile on his lips as he thought about the evening's events. Reginald kissed Alexander. "We should go to sleep and get some rest before we have to get up again."

After a relaxing shower, Reginald and Alexander reminisced about the evening with Omar before falling asleep. Their feelings for each other remained as strong as ever, but they agreed to gladly share such moments with Omar whenever he wished.

A gentle knock on the door woke them up in the morning. Reginald opened it to find Omar standing there with a huge smile. He stepped in, closed the door behind him, and kissed them both without hesitation. "Thank you for the wonderful evening," Omar said, his voice filled with warmth. "I could not believe how amazing the night could be until I met the two of you. You have my heart and any other part you wish. I love you both so much!"

The room was filled with love and connection, a bond that grew with each passing moment. They eagerly kissed him back. Alexander asked how Kareem was doing?

Omar explained, "He has a fever and does not look good. So, I will have the kitchen send some food up to him. But we need to stay on the boat today."

After breakfast, they sat on the sun deck, enjoying the warmth of the morning sun. Reginald felt a sudden urge to close his eyes, and a vision appeared before him as he did. The majestic figure of Khonsu, the falcon-headed god of the moon, stood tall and imposing.

"Go to the sick and use my statue to lend your power to heal him," Khonsu commanded, his voice resonating with divine authority. "If not, he will surely die. This is the curse of the woman who hides herself in black. You now have the power to fight this. Use it!"

Reginald opened his eyes, the god's words heavy on his mind. He knew what he had to do. Reginald turned to Alexander and Omar, determination etched on his face. "We need to go to Kareem and help him," he said. "His sickness is from a curse. Khonsu has spoken."

The two men nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation but curious by Reginald's remark about Khonsu. The three lovers quickly embarked on this urgent mission, guided by the divine message Reginald had received. They rushed to Kareem's room, where Omar tried to unlock the door, but it would not budge. Despite his best efforts, the door remained firmly shut.

Reginald took the statue of Khonsu from his pocket stepped between Omar and the door, his voice steady and commanding. “In the name of Khonsu, I command you to open!” he declared. Miraculously, the door obeyed, swinging open with a creak.
They hurried to Kareem's side, where he lay motionless. Reginald placed his hand on Kareem's chest, his eyes turning completely white. A bright flash of light filled the room, and in the distance, a woman's scream reverberated through the air.

The room fell silent, the only sound being the heavy breathing of those present. Reginald's eyes slowly returned to normal, and he looked down at Kareem, hoping that the divine intervention had worked.

Reginald sent Omar to get some ice water for Kareem. Omar must have run, as he seemed to return in mere seconds. Omar took Kareem's hand, and with that touch, Kareem's eyes fluttered open. He smiled up at Omar, his voice filled with relief. "What happened? I feel so much better!"

Omar’s happiness was palpable as he looked into Reginald’s eyes. “We are so grateful for saving my brother’s life,” he said, his voice thick with emotion.

Reginald shook his head humbly. "The god Khonsu gave me the power to heal Kareem. Khonsu is still here with us."
The room was filled with a sense of divine presence and gratitude, a moment that would be etched in their memories forever.

Reginald remembered to tell them about the glowing rings. They all remembered how they had glowed when Alexander found Khonsu’s statue. Omar had heard the scream and that meant the woman was on the ship. Omar decided to search for the woman in black, hoping to find her and uncover more about the mysterious curse. Omar left Kareem in the care of Alexander and Reginald ensuring Kareem remained protected and comfortable.

Omar made his way to the bar, where a buzz of conversation filled the air. Patrons were animatedly discussing a woman dressed in black who had suddenly burst into flames and then ran off the boat. The story was on everyone’s lips, and Omar listened intently, piecing together the fragments of information.

Determined to find the woman in black, Omar set off in the direction she was last seen, his mind racing with questions and a sense of urgency. He knew understanding her connection to the curse was crucial to ensuring everyone's safety and Kareem's continued recovery.

When Omar returned to the boat, relieved to find Kareem was doing much better. Kareem had dressed and was sitting up, chatting animatedly with Reginald and Alexander. The room was filled with laughter and light conversation, a stark contrast to the tense atmosphere from earlier.
“Damn, she got away,” Omar said, a hint of frustration in his voice. “Which means she will be back. But for the moment, we are safe.”

Kareem ate everything they put before him, his appetite a clear sign of his recovery. He even asked for seconds of the main course, much to everyone's delight.

Later, their dinner in the main dining room was filled with laughter and stories, a welcome respite from the day's events.

When they were done with dinner, Kareem excused himself, feeling fatigued from his ordeal. "I'm exhausted," he said, smiling warmly at his friends. "I'll head back to my room and get some rest."

His friends nodded in understanding and watched as Kareem returned to his room. They felt a sense of accomplishment and relief, knowing they had faced a significant challenge and emerged stronger.

Omar was feeling a mix of emotions. On the one hand, he was relieved and grateful that Kareem was recovering and that the immediate danger had passed. His happiness at seeing Kareem's improved condition and his gratitude for Reginald and Alexander's help was evident.

However, Omar also felt a sense of frustration and concern. The fact that the woman in black got away meant that the threat was not entirely gone, and he knew they would have to face her again. This uncertainty was unsettling, but Omar's determination to protect his friends and uncover the truth about the curse kept him focused. Omar's emotions were a complex blend of relief, gratitude, concern, and determination. He was committed to ensuring the safety of his friends and ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead.

While they were drinking their coffee, Omar told them a tale. His story was of a pivotal moment in Omar's past occurred when he was a young boy living in a small village near the Nile. One evening, a severe storm hit the town, causing the river to flood and threatening to destroy their homes. The villagers were in a state of panic, unsure how to protect themselves and their belongings.

Despite his young age, Omar felt a keen sense of responsibility towards his community. He remembered his grandfather's stories about the ancient gods and their powers. Inspired by these tales, Omar took it upon himself to lead the villagers to higher ground, away from the rising waters.

Omar's calm demeanor and logical thinking helped guide the villagers to safety as the storm raged on. With Kareem’s assistance Omar organized groups to help the elderly and children, ensuring everyone reached a secure location. His bravery and leadership during this crisis earned him the respect and admiration of his community.

This experience was a turning point for Omar. It instilled a deep sense of duty and a desire to protect those around him. From that day forward, he dedicated himself to learning more about Egypt's ancient history and legends, hoping to use this knowledge to help others. This pivotal moment shaped Omar into the courageous and determined person he is today, always ready to face challenges head-on and support his friends in times of need.

Reginald and Alexander smile at Omar. The both shared a silent agreement between them. "Would you like to spend the evening with us? I am sure you need to relax, and we know just how to do that!"

Nope nothing within the range of normal is going on here. They were wise not to trust "the lady in black". My question was why this group was selected by the Gods for this quest? It certainly seem this was all preordained. Why the four of them, and what could be the overall purpose of this dangerous quest?  🤔 As the lady in black, I'm burning to find out the answers.  😊
