The Golosina, the Forgotten Land and the Skurkene - 4. Chapter 4

Keira was an eighteen-year-old princess. She had long brown curly hair, deep blue eyes and a slim waist with a perfectionist smile.

She wanted to find the perfect apple and her friends told her to walk through the woods to a tree that produce the crispiest red refreshing apples she could have. She was warned there was a price for this, as many princesses had been before and never returned, all of them thought it was nonsense that anything bad would happen simply from getting an apple.

As she was walking through towards the woods, she stumbled a little and fell down near a river. A h handsome prince called Alfred happen to be riding by. He saw the princess fall and rode over to her. He got off his horse and helped Princess Keira up. Prince Alfred thought she was the most beautiful girl he had ever met. Princess Keria thought Prince Afred was the most handsome prince she had ever seen.

‘I’m trying to find the most perfect apple tree,’ she told him. ‘Have you seen it?’

‘There are a few trees this way,’ Prince Alfred waved his hand behind him. ‘Be careful though, Princess. There’s a wizard around these woods and he believes all the trees belong to him. He has a history of making people disappear.’ He paused. ‘Perhaps it may be best if you go another way.’

‘Nonsense,’ Princes Kiera smiled. ‘Trees are for everyone; I will be okay.’

The prince was worried and offered her a necklace with a shell. ‘If you ever need me just blow into this and I will come and help you.’

‘That is so kind of you,’ Princess Keira beamed.

‘I hope you find the perfect apple,’ Prince Alfred said, he tipped his head to her and went on his way.

As she walked past all the different trees, going deeper into the woods, she suddenly heard a snarl.

Jumping back, she saw a figure emerge from the shadows. Her eyes widen at the individual with scales and long robe. She had never seen a person with scales before.

‘Where would you be going, Princess?’ he snarled.

‘I am off to find the perfect apple,’ she replied back. ‘I’ve heard there is an apple tree here with the crispiest red refreshing apples.’

‘That is my tree,’ the person replied. ‘I am the wizard of these woods, and all the trees belong to me.’

‘Could I not have just one single apple from one tree, please, wizard?’ she asked.

‘I would suggest you venture back where you came from,’ the wizard stated. Before Princes Keira could respond he disappeared.

She kept on her journey, she saw many withering trees, and plants that had been neglected and eventually found a bright oak tree. It was such a usual tree with thick branches and bright leaves. She saw apples all over this tree. Some apples had even fell to the ground. Some apples were starting to turn yellow, untouched. How could the wizard claim he owned the trees and not look after them? Surely, she could take the ones off the ground and leave? She watched one apply fall from a thin branch onto the ground. she leaned forward to take it when a hand full of scales stopped her.

‘I told you to venture back,’ the wizard hissed, taking Princes Keira away. She screamed as he pulled them into a black mist of spell. They reappeared on the edge of the woods, near a cliff.

‘Because you didn’t listen to me,’ the wizard suddenly roared. ‘Perhaps you will listen more if I curse you.’

‘No, please,’ Princess Keria begged. She looked down and realised she was wearing her shell. Grabbing at it, she blew into the shell hard. Nothing happened.

The wizard smiled as he began to chant a spell.

‘Hey’.

Prince Alfred arrived, sword drawn and ready. ‘Leave her alone, Wizard.’

‘She defied me,’ the wizard stated. ‘A curse will set her right. Just like the other princesses.’

‘You do not own these woods,’ Prince Alfred said. ‘I have watched you curse poor princesses for years and I will not take it anymore. Let her go now.’

The wizard smirked and with his magic he lifted Princess Keira in the air and a bolder nearby. Magic ropes appeared and tighter her down to the bolder, she screamed more.

‘Let her go,’ Prince Alfred stated again. ‘Or I will fight you.’

The wizard laughed, ‘You can never hurt me, prince. You are too stupid and arrogant’

Prince Alfred and the wizard fought, the wizard throwing glass magic balls at him and Prince Alfred smashed every one of them.

They got close and closer. The wizard knocked the sword out of prince Alfred hands, and the prince fell to the ground.

The wizard laughed in triumph as he looked over to Princes Kiera. ‘Now you will be just another cursed princess. These trees are mine; these woods are mine, everything you touch is mine.’

Prince Alfred found his sword off the ground.

Freddy stood back up there, sword up ready, Keira still screaming in the background. His sword ready to accidentally stab Tav. The storyline was that Freddy would fall forward and struggle with Tav and accidentally stab him, stopping him from cursing Princes Keira.

Tav was taller than he last saw him, sharper jaws, his already handsome features were even more handsome than when he was a child.

Freddy stood up and went to lean forward. But he gulped and froze up.

Tav looked incredible and all Freddy wanted to do was to drop his sword and hug him. He wasn’t mad anymore that Tav didn’t show up on the last night, he just enjoyed seeing him.

Tav laughed his evil laugh and stated his lines, ‘Come on then princey boy, ready for the party.’

Freddy was still frozen, the sword in his hand. He couldn’t do it.

Tav laughed more, glancing around, as it got more awkward.

Keira was staring at Freddy, her screams getting softer and her teared-up eyes now getting angry.

‘You just a coward huh,’ Tav improved some lines, crossing his arms.

Freddy wouldn’t do it. He wouldn’t attack him with the sword. He dropped his sword a little. His lines went blank in his head. He was supposed to say something now.

Tav grinned and put his hands to his hips, ‘Well, if you can’t fight me then I guess I will just take you instead.’

Then in black smoke he rushed out at Freddy and caught him, leaving the princess screaming.

The cloud filming had now disappeared.
