HUMOR - 1. Chapter 1

Humor

Some people carry humor

the way others carry light —

effortless,

unaware,

a quiet gravity that pulls laughter

out of the room like a tide.

They don’t try.

They just are.

A raised eyebrow,

a sideways glance,

a truth spoken too plainly —

and suddenly everyone is smiling

without knowing why.

Then there are the others.

The ones who chase humor

like it’s a skittish cat

that never wanted to be caught.

They rehearse their lines,

wait for the perfect moment,

lean forward with the grin

that begs for applause.

But real humor doesn’t come

to those who hunt it.

It comes to those

who live close to honesty —

who see the world sideways,

who notice the absurd

in the ordinary,

who laugh first

and invite you to join.

Funny people glow.

Trying‑to‑be‑funny people sweat.

And in the space between them

is the quiet truth:

laughter chooses its own messengers,

and the best ones

never know they’ve been chosen.
