Walking Through Darkness - 5. The Wailing

Thank you @Mikiesboy again for all your help.....

Mournful sounds arise from the depth of my soul

The anguished wails of those i cannot identify

whose voices i no longer hear.

In darkness their lament continues

with each call, my heart breaks.

No words describe the ache I feel for their torment.

Their despair and sadness washes over me -

the grief too deep to contain.

How one can suffer this alone?

I begin to ignore their keening

Longing to join them - I cannot

My place is here until my time passes

I hope for the moment of silence I am longing to hear.

Another thought-provoking poem, Angel.

The poor narrator who can't get rid of all those voices in his/her head, just wishing for peace, if only for a moment. So, so sad.
