Walking on the Path of Life - 4. Settling for Butterflies
Settling for Butterflies
In a room, thirty minutes before
She stands in white, the haute couture
About to walk down that dreaded aisle
She sits, ponders, never not sure
Physically hurtful when she's mad
But he stays because he knows
She can be friendly, lovely and sweet
This is just her, when she is low
Lavender scent where memories sing
From within where that scent holds
Dialling the phone, and the voice she hears
Brings back feelings that were once untold
People settle down, reasons not said
People settle through the hurtful eyes
But me I want to be sure, and never settle,
For anything less, than butterflies
