This started as a story for the Grid Game and has gotten bigger.

Simon is a newly turned vampire, he's made his home in a lovely cave on a mountain.

Unfortunately, someone else has decided they like the cave too.

My prompt was - A newly-made vampire (verb) deep forest on a mountain no one dares enter (conjunction/pairing word) the cat won't move.

Be warned this story is now a Wednesday Briefs story and so most chapters will be short. I am aiming to update twice a week with one chapter being longer, but it will depend on my schedule.

This was the latest Wednesday Brief from Caz and it was fantastic it didn't let up in action and suspense from chapter one.

What follows is the fantastic story of Simon, a newly turned vampire who meets Kitryn a cat and her Cubs in the cave he has been sheltering in. He helps Kitryn who has been injured. What follows is a love story with a difference, there's battles, other animals, happy and sad moments.

A fantastic story that is well worth the read.
