The Secret Life Of Billy Chase 9 9. Billy Chase Chronicles

So I tried many times to read Billy Chase and for some reason just couldn’t get into the story.  I think this reading was my 4th or 5th attempt, but for whatever reason, this time it stuck.  I also started reading knowing it was unfinished.  What I didn’t expect was to totally get head over heels into this story to the point I literally put aside everything else I’ve been reading.  So in about 8 days I have read all 449 chapters of Billy Chase.  Now of course I want more.  I’ll be honest, what i don’t get is how many stories there are that aren’t finished.  This story has initial chapters dating back to 2010 and its been almost 2 years now since the last chapter was posted.  Sadly, the next chapter would be the end of this particular segment and also the big summer party at Jamie Cross’ home.  So how much longer do we have to wait.  I’ve almost made it a rule not to read any of the other stories because I hate investing so much time to read something that is hanging unfinished.  I honestly didn’t think i would plow through Billy Chase like i did and I’m certainly glad I did but now I find myself frustrated at the lack of a finish.  It seems like all these stories are in the same situation.  I got into the GFD series too and until reading this story that was the only series i dared to allow myself to read.  I just have issues with investing so much of my time and not having a conclusion.  Anyway I’m ranting and going in circles.  I love Billy Chase and I pray that there will be Ch 50 very soon.  Thanks for the work that you do.

I’m excited and anxiously awaiting Ch 50.  I can’t wait to see how this section ends.  Does Sam and Joey talk, does anything else happen between them or does Sam get closure.  What the hell is Jimmy LaPlane going to do, I can just see him showing up and making a huge scene at this party and making accusations against Billy in front of the crowd.  Will Bobby show up and finally pull his head out his ass and show Ian the love he deserves.  And what of Billy and Brandon?  Will they truly go through with plans to be an open couple at the party.  How will Jamie react (does he know), how will Ian react (will he be offended Billy didn’t trust him and their friendship), will there be others at the party that will not be quite so accepting.

Greg & Ollie, does Billy keep to himself what he knows about Greg.

And finally, does Billy reveal the last secret he is holding onto about his slut days with AJ, Robin, and others.  So many outstanding issues that could lead to one of the most action-packed ending chapters of this entire series.  How much of this will be left unanswered and left for us to discover in part 10.

Tell me about it! I can’t match even a fraction of your output Comsie! Each month I try to release at least one new chapter, some of them several pages. Between work and roomates and puppy dogs and cooking and cleaning, it is all I can do to get that much out! Books are like meals, they can take hours to put together, but minutes to eat! I suppose the proof is in the pudding . . . har har!

The time and love an author puts into his book is the wonderful flavor you get when you consume it. Its lovely to want more, but good does take time. 😉

I must admit that as i was reading through these chapters i kept wondering why there were only 1 or 2 comments, not that I added many myself.  But I also noticed that most chapters had usually less than 10 reactions.  I was actually trying to figure out if I liked the chapter, loved it, so-so, or just sometimes down right aggregated by the damn thing.  How hard is it to hit a stupid button and move on to the next chapter.  It’s a simple action on my part but I assume it means far more to the author to see those reactions.  If you are going through the effort that it takes to write these stories, seriously the least we can do as readers is show some type of appreciation, reaction, whatever by hitting a button.  

I had no idea about your PC issues, that has just got to be devastating as well as just sucking green donkey dicks. I’m thrilled to see that Ch 450 might be happening soon.  I also noticed on the “Shack” site that there was a Book 10 under Billy Chase, however the link appears to be broken.  I got so excited when I saw that.  I’m sure you are aware about the link but I just thought I would point it out anyway.

I really must commend you on writing Billy Chase.  This story is a major undertaking to say the least, more like just short of miraculous that you have written so much and kept your audience captive.  I find this story so endearing.  At so many points reading through this I have kept thinking to myself how lucky these kids are to live in the society they do.  The reaction poor Stevie puts up with would have been seen as giving “those kind” what they deserve when I was this age.  Stevie has people helping to watch out for him against his aggressors, for me it would have been the opposite whereby these thugs would have had plenty of like-minded classmates watching out so that no one got caught.  I am just happy that things have improved to such a point that kids now are out and proud at school.   With the exception of a few, Stevie’s classmates are just awesome, although it does make me jealous.

I really have enjoyed the story up to this point, this is a sweet caring young man trying to navigate his way through life as he sees at his age.  I look forward to more for sure, who knows, maybe Billy and Brandon will get a once-in-a-lifetime 3-way with the one, the only Jamie Cross.  Billy never thought he would have Sam, so anything can happen (though the results with Sam show exactly why you are playing with fire).

No apologies needed at all, dude! ((Hugs)) Seriously, like I said, you've been awesome about reacting and giving feedback on the series. And I'm super grateful that you took the time to do that. It's like...you read through a chapter, you reach the bottom of the page...the 'like' button is right there...click it and move on to the next chapter. It REALLY makes me happy to know that people enjoy what I do. That's all I need. No money, no praise or worship, no big banners screaming 'yay, Comsie'! Just click a button...and you can be sure that I'll stay motivated to bring you all as much joy and good feelings as I possibly can. 

But...some people just refuse to do that. So...shrugs...it is what it is, I guess.

Anyway, you have been consistently sharing your appreciation for the chapters, and I thank you for it. I do notice. And anybody that leaves a comment on one of my stories...I make sure to click the like or love button for every last ONE of them! Over the last two years or so I've made it a priority. Chapter 450 was pretty much finished and ready to be posted a looooong time ago, but a random Microsoft update completely destroyed my computer and erased soooooo much of my hard work and emotional input. It was DEVASTATING to me! I mean, I know that I post new chapters of stories, and people burn through it in about 20 minutes and ask for more. But I don't think they realize how many hours, days, weeks, months, I put into crafting these stories and characters and writing the dialogue and adding emotion and edit and format it all. And, like you said...you sat down and read 400+ chapters of Billy Chase in a week! And you've been leaving comments and hitting the like button too! I see that! So THANK YOU for being a true fan and supporting the effort I put in! It means sooooo much to me! Thanks for being a fan! Hey Comsie, I've been a fan and (kind of) an on again off again reader since probably 2014. 

I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your work, I've admired your ability to infuse the banal day to day lives of teenagers that we can relate to – most of us probably even see ourselves in moments or characters at some point (Kind of impossible not to considering the volume of content you've put out over the years). I found your stories at the perfect time in my life, a real low point, and the positivity and earnestness of the love stories juxtaposed with the very real problems was an incredible motivational catalyst for me. Although this is, to the best of my recollection at least, my first comment I just wanted to relate the very real impact you had on my life. I would go so far as to say that the Billy Chase may have saved my life – as I binged the first seven or eight books and forgot about my own shitty problems in the meantime. 

Having also lurked on the cafe I am astonished by the really close-knit and nice community that has grown around your works. The apparent good-natured jokes and enthusiasm for the next upload of chapters is guaranteed to put a smile on my face just as much as the emotional rollercoaster of your stories. 

I say all that to try to persuade you that a lot of your readers are genuine fans, people who really enjoy, like, love and cherish your stories; the characters and that they do mean a lot to them (us). Some of us are just a bit more shy and reserved.

Keep up the good work, I'll do my best to catch up on all the content that's appeared since my last visit and hopefully be more active so you don't think I dislike your stories.

I just started book 8 on my Amazon device after almost bingeing the first seven.  The story is ripping my heart out (in a good way).  Sometimes I get so frustrated with Billy, but I do love him.  I look forward to part 9 assuming my heart survives part 8.  Wish me luck.
