Poetry (Short's) - 6. Chapter 6 Weight of loss

Pleas let me know what you think i would love to know...
What hell has befallen me?

It seems nothing matters

To be left without reason

Without mercy all alone

Without love or hope.

I wake to wonder and dream,

What evils have I done

To be so judged and forgotten

By eyes once so kind

and hands once so gentle?

What evil have I committed

That love would turn to rage

And caring to such great a hate?

It is as if all things are

a mirror of the past,

Or can it be that what was now, is?

That what seemed like love was rage

And caring was but hate

Hidden by a façade of evil?

All I can see now is doom.

Where have the sunny days gone?

That my days be grey and cold

Void of passion and life

Filled only by the weight of loss

For something I never had,

But dreamed to taste just once.

Only once would give me hope

To fight out these days of darkness,

And to find solace in the arms of a lover

Filling me with hope for days of sun

And a love pure without pain.

For Douw

From a friend

There is a special wind that blows the pain away and a

Warm heart that soothes the cold

There is a kind soul that filters through my being and a

Fine hand that wipes away my tears

So many days have I been in the dark so many hours of

Weeping have passed

But all this is nil compared to your soul that soothes this

Broken heart

All this is nil compared to your hand that wipes away

My tears

And all I can do or say is thank you

for your warmth

means so much to me.

Without that, I would be lost…
