Finding Refuge

   (8 reviews)

A refuge can be a place, or a person. Sometimes, it's both. Just like scars. We can carry them on the outside, or on the inside. Sometimes, it's both. Wiley Burch is a cowboy on the run. He never bargained for being someone's target, but it appears his luck has run out... or has it?

This story takes place in the Old West.

I love your descriptions of the wild west! I don't know much about the history of how the West was settled but what you wrote felt very real. All the details painted a vivid picture for me. Thank you!

Thank you, jfalcon! I love hearing that the details and descriptions worked. It gives me confidence to write more in this genre. I'm a big fan of the old west, and I grew up on Westerns, so it was kind of like playing to write this :) . I appreciate the review... cheers... Gary....

Just re-read this story again, so well done. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give us more of this story. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.

Thanks, Rolfe! I appreciate the kind words. I love this story too, and am always thankful when someone new reads it, and even more so when someone rereads it. As a matter of fact, I am posting a new western story right now called "Sidewinder." I still have Wiley and Cooper in my head, though, and one day hope to continue their story.

You could help me get new readers for Finding Refuge by leaving a review in the review section... that usually brings an influx of new readers. Cheers... Gary....

P.S. I hope you check out my new story and let me know what you think. :)
