No Matter How - 1. Chapter 1

Just a little something I came up with earlier.

A breath, no matter how silent, is like an offending shout

Amidst the calmness of a prairie in the absence of a breeze

A whisper, no matter how gentle, is still considered chatter

Amongst tongues who know not the meaning of decorum

An action, no matter how subtle, is also viewed as improper

If the intent is to cause others harm or something much worse

A caress, no matter how brief, is very much appreciated

When given to someone who needed and longed for it the most

A smile, no matter how faint, is a silent laughter

On the face of a person who is under extreme pain

A life, no matter how unimportant, can be said to be full

As long as it is spent with the goal of making the most out of it

A love, no matter how small, is as big as the ocean

Provided that it doesn’t expect anything in return

A message, no matter how short, makes a heart skip

Given that the content was written full of affection

A poem, no matter how silly, is like an uncut gem that needs polishing

It can only be fully appreciated if you cut away its imperfections

No matter how you look at it

Things are only as good or bad depending on how you perceive it

Please leave a review if you want :) Oh and thanks for reading.

I agree 100%

Under that happy-go-lucky storyteller, you are a deep thinker, a philosopher, my friend.

Nice, thoughtful poem w/ a good message (and I think I got it! Usually poetry leaves me clueless :P) Good job. :)

Admittedly I am not much of a poetry reader, but I am trying to expand my horizons. I just love this...it makes me think, and it makes appreciate. I really like it.

Because of that here's a  Thank you for reading my poem then :) I like it when a poem makes me think so I'm glad what I wrote made you do that ^_^

There is definitely good and bad in everything, and it's up to the viewer to decide which way the pendulum swings. I like that this made me think while I was reading it. Usually, I just get a mind visual of poetry when I read it, but this also came with the added bonus of making my brain cells spark. I feel the urge to write --- thank you.
