My name’s Tristan, but my friends call me Tris or Tiger, my hair is orange red so it tends to inspire jokes.

Right now I’m standing outside Abe’s slightly open bedroom door. Abe is, for lack of a better word, my roommate. Abe is a good guy, gay; but trust me you wouldn’t know that to look at him.

Your probably wondering why I’m standing outside a gay guy’s bedroom, at night, in the dark. After all is there a less likely place for a straight guy to be on a Friday night?

Explaining why I’m standing here, peeking through the crack in the door at Abe’s massive sleeping form is gonna require some history first though.

The cause though is the same thing that has gotten men into trouble since the dawn of time, sex.

Five months ago, mid June

Abe was sitting against the tree in the back yard when Tristan’s truck pulled into the driveway. He watched in slight agitation as Tristan pulled the beat up duffle bag and the black trash bag out of the bed of his truck and made for the white two story house, Abe’s house.

In fairness it wasn’t his house, his mom and her boyfriend split the rent and the other bills and he chipped in when he could, which wasn’t often. Abe had been struggling to find work for the last two years or so since his job as a roady for a local DJ fell in. He’d been squeaking out a couple hundred a month doing odd jobs for folks around town, lawn mowed here, babysat there, house work, etc.

Abe though couldn’t help but feel possessive; it was him who did all the domestic work that made the place livable he did the dishes, cooked the meals, and washed the clothes, mopped, vacuumed and dusted. He wasn’t complaining though, it was the least he could do after all. His mom did her share to make it easier, she at least separated her clothes into colors and whites and took her dishes to the kitchen and picked up after herself, which was more then he could say for her boyfriend Arnie.

He was a slob if he ever met one, mid fifties, over-weight, he had short black hair and eye brows that pointed up and made him look like Satan. Arnie left his clothes all over the bathroom and bedroom, and would let the dishes stack up three feet deep before he would wash them, something Abe couldn’t abide, living with his grandma as a kid made him much more fastidious then your average twenty one year old male, straight or gay,(Abe happened to be the later).

Abe watched as Tristan struggled up the stairs with his bulging trash bag for a few minutes before he turned back to his English book. He just needed to finish English, science two and math and this stupid high school diploma course would be over. By the end of the summer he’d have his diploma and be able to find a real job.

It was good to be in a house again, instead of crammed in a tiny pull behind trailer with my brother in law. Sure joining up with the fair when it left town was had been my idea. I mean come on, got to travel all around the country, meet new people, and bed and endless line hot chicks, it was a dream job. All I had to do was operate the Farris Wheel it was fucking cush.

We’d still be with the fair if we hadn’t pulled into Barrington, you’d step outside our trailer and practically smell the meth cooking. We could have handled being surrounded by the shit if some of our co-workers hadn’t started bringing it back to the camp grounds.

I wasn’t above smoking weed now and then but I stayed away from the hard stuff so my brother in-law and I gave our notice, sold the trailer to a couple of our coworkers and came back home.

Carl, the dumb ass, went back to my sister. She tossed his ass out after deciding she was a lesbian and hooked up with some skank she met at a bar; but soon as she heard he was coming home she decided she wanted him back.

Fucking reject, she’ll do it again; rumor is she’s still hooking up with her girl friend.

Me, I’m staying with my dad, his girl friend and her son. I got no place else to go. I tried getting back with my ex girlfriend but she wouldn’t have it.

I like it here though. Dad and I get on pretty well, and his girlfriend Amy is a decent woman, she’s smart, funny and pretty easy going, at least from what I’ve seen.

Her son Abraham, or Abe as he says to call him, is ok I guess. To tell you the truth I don’t know much about him. His mom and my dad have been dating for about three years so she’d done her bit, coming to the family holidays and birthdays and what not but Abe’s never come around. He’s a quiet guy, don’t talk much, usually has his nose in a book or his laptop, and he’s something of a computer geek.

I was surprised to find out how smart he was. To look at Abe all you see is a six foot walking mass of hairy muscle, I thought he was just a dumb ass when I first met him but then I saw the books he read and had to revise my opinion.

Abe was big on classical literature; he had books by all those dead ole’foggies like Jane Austen, Shakespeare, Walt Whitman, Edger Allen Poe and a dozen others that I’d never heard of. He read the popular stuff like the Harry Potter and Eragon crap but his modern collection wasn’t as big as his classical.

I liked to read too but I was more of a fan of war and murder mystery stuff then classical or fantasy, and I was pretty fucking shocked when he debugged and reprogrammed his laptop in single day.

Other then what I’d glimpsed over those three years I didn’t know anything else about him. It didn’t matter though; I wouldn’t be here for long. Save up my unemployment and get my truck fixed and then get a place of my own.

I lay back on the futon dad had bought for me and relaxed. The upstairs was kinda funky, my room was open to the stairs with Abe’s room separated by a door, I guess bringing home a girl to nail was outta the question.

Mid July

Abe was annoyed, like every other day since Tristan moved in…and showed no signs of leaving anytime soon.

Tristan wasn’t a bad guy, he was actually real nice to him, he wasn’t really a bad guy he could be immature at times…ok he was immature a lot, and he was slob too, just like his old man. That wasn’t really the annoying part though, even when he was being childish he was a nice to Abe, and he did do his own laundry and dishes.

What annoyed Abe was that he was attracted to him. Tristan had the kind of body he loved in a guy. Tristan was shorter then him, his body was lean with tight compact muscles, (Tristan liked to walk around without his shirt on), he didn’t grow a beard but seemed to have a permanent five o’clock shadow.

Abe had a hard time not reaching out and stroking a finger across his jaw or down his chest when he came out of his of a morning to find him sprawled out on his futon, his Xbox headset still on and his controller still resting on his bare stomach, (Tristan tended to stay up all night playing Halo online with his buddies then sleep all day), but he settled for shutting the system off and putting the head set and controller on the floor by the bed.

That was Abe’s downfall, he was too damn nice. It didn’t matter who you were or how much of a prick you were to him Abe would help you out in any way except monetary if you asked him to.

One night Tristan had been out drinking with his buddies, and trying to score some tail, he had asked Abe to go with them but Abe didn’t frequent the bars in town. Every other weekend he would go up to Eddies a few towns over. The place was a bit seedy but most of the clientele were decent enough folks.

Abe came down to use the bathroom around four in the morning to find Tristan passed out on the bathroom floor. Being the concerned freaked he was he knelt down next to him made sure he was still breathing and that he hadn’t choked on his own vomit, which was plentiful in the toilet.

After confirming that he was ok Abe decided he couldn’t leave him on the floor Arnie would be a royal bastard if he found him on the floor the next morning.

Reluctantly Abe stood up and reached down and picked Tristan up and managed to carry him upstairs; the stair case was a little narrow but so long as he walked up a little sideways he managed to get up to Tristan’s room.

He lay Tristan down on his futon then went back down to the bathroom, flushed, did his business and brought the bathroom trash can up with him incase Tristan had anything left in him to spew up.

Abe was surprised however to find Tristan sitting on the edge of the futon, his shirt abandoned on the floor.

He sat the trash can down next to Tristan and knelt down to look up at him, his eyes were slightly glazed over and he looked confused.

“Tristan, you in there?” Abe asked softly as he slapped Tristan’s cheek a bit, trying to sober him up slightly.

“What…where am I...how did I get up hear…I was in the bathroom…or the kitchen the floor was cold but I couldn’t stay awake.” Tristan slurred his words and swayed a bit as he spoke; if he remembered any of this the next morning it’d be a miracle.

“Calm down Tris. I found your drunken ass on the bathroom floor and brought you up here.” Abe was still kneeling in front of Tristan and reached up and grabbed him by his shoulders to keep him from falling on him.

“You’re a big ass bruiser but you ain’t strong enough to…to do that.” Tristan swayed again as he spoke and Abe stood up and maneuvered him to lie back down.

“Yea I’m a big ass bruiser, and I can bench press your skinny ass if I felt like it. Now shut up and got to sleep, I gotta be up early.” Abe ordered, using the tone he used when he couldn’t get a stubborn kid to go to bed and to his surprised Tristan complied.

He kicked off his boots haphazardly and let Abe pull the blanket up around him.

“You’re a good guy Abe…even to bastards like me…good guy Abe…”Abe heard Tristan mutter as he walked back into his room.

Abe lay back on his bed that night and smiled a bit. He was hot for Tristan and he couldn’t have him, but it still felt good doing something for him.

Smiling slightly he rolled over and hugged the big body pillow he slept with to his chest.

July 30th

Since the night Abe brought me upstairs (well the day after) I had been doing my best to show my appreciation, to get to know him better. I had to admit the more I found out about him the more I liked him, he was smart, and damn funny when he wanted to be; what really got me though was how down to earth and…well how humble he was.

When you see a guy like Abe you expect them to be full of themselves cause of how good they look, and to be honest Abe was a fucking mountain of muscle and turned more then a few heads.

Abe didn’t take care of his body to impress anyone, he did it cause he liked to look his best. Abe told me that his friends and some of his family always told him to plug his looks or his athletic skill to try and make the big bucks but that he couldn’t see the point in it.

He just wanted to get his diploma and go into computer management; he said that working with a computer was like body building for the mind.

It took me the better part of two weeks to do but I finally managed to convince him to go out to a bar with me and a few of my friends. Abe was a riot after you got a little booze in him; the normally quiet and reserved guy did a complete one-eighty and became the life of the party.

Abe was a big hit with the ladies, we walked into Players and they were practically hanging off him. Abe didn’t even have to do anything, he’s one of those guys who walk’s into a room and people are just attracted to him, to be honest with you some of my buddies were pretty jealous because of all the attention he was getting.

Abe was real good about it; the way they would rub up against him or bat their eyes at him would’ve caused most guys to be standing at attention in a minute, perks of being gay…we’ll get back to that later.

After Abe managed to funnel all his many female admirers out to some of my buddies and we sat back at little corner table with a Jack and Coke each and watched the folks on the dance floor. I had made my rounds but didn’t seem to have much luck, I was off my game I guess, beside Abe either by choice or design hadn’t landed any one so I was good with keeping my bud company.

“How come you brushed all those hottie’s off man? That blonde was about to go under the table on you.” I said as I sipped at my drink, it was a bit weaker then I liked but still good.

“Dude are you serious? You’ve been living with us for a month and a bit more and you haven’t figured it out?” Abe asked with an easy smile.

“Huh…what are you talking about, figured what out.” Normally I’m not that thick headed but I got distracted by a brunette with an ass to kill for that was walking past our table.

“Tristan when have you ever heard me talk about girls, have you ever noticed that my tongue is tucked firmly in my head when yours and your dad’s or your buddies are hanging out when a hot chick comes on TV or stars half naked in a movie?” Abe replied, looking closer I saw that his eyes were little glassy, no more Jack and Coke for him.

“Dude, you telling me you’re gay?”

“Yep that’d be the scoop. You got a problem with it?” Abe asked, the last part of his sentence sounded a little aggressive.

“Dude I couldn’t care less if you like pussy or cock, it’s just a shock. I mean have you seen yourself?” I couldn’t believe Abe was gay, I didn’t care…its just Abe was tall, built like a Greek god, very close cropped black hair, baby blues that’d make anyone who looked in them weak at the knees…

Messed up thoughts for a straight guy right? Keep reading.

“What, you see something you like?” Abe asked me as raised his arms and flexed his biceps at me, yea he was drunk.

“You wish…but fuck you got some guns…” I said with a smile as I racked my eyes up and down Abe’s body, no law against looking right?

“Yea…I wish.” Abe whispered as he chugged down the rest of his drink, which was still mostly full…not even I can slam a full Jack and Coke and I’ve been drinking since I was fourteen.

I wanted to ask what he meant but just when I turned to ask him the smokin’ brunette I had been watching came over and asked me for a dance.

I looked over to Abe first, not wanting leave him there by himself, but the roll of his eyes and the quick nod at her told me to go.

I spent the rest of our time there dancing, drinking and talking to the brunette (Annette). One by one most of my buddies had drifted out with their own hook ups till it was just me, Abe and a few others left.

I was feeling pretty confident that I’d be getting some action at last but just when I was about to seal the deal her roommate, this big bitchy blonde woman, came to up to her and drug her away.

“Fucking cock blocked again, son of a bitch.” I said, joining my buddy Trey at the bar.

“Maybe your little fag buddy over there’ll let you plow his ass, better then nothing,” Trey said as he knocked back a couple shots, “I got ears like a fox dude, I heard you two talking.” He said motioning over to Abe.

He was still sitting where I left him, though he wasn’t looking nearly a cheery as he had been; I knew I shouldn’t have left him there on his own. The guys didn’t know him so they didn’t talk to him.

“ Ok first, you’re fucking crazy, second you call him a fag again and you’ll be picking yourself up off the floor; Abe’s a good guy and good bud, and third; Abe’s ain’t exactly little so if you tell anyone, ANYONE what you heard and I’ll turn him loose on your ass. Got it?” Trey was a decent guy but he could be pretty thoughtless at times, one way to make sure he kept his mouth in check was to threaten him with bodily harm, not to mention I’d seen him looking at Abe like he might tear his arms off at any second.

“Whatever man, look you ready to go, all the talents’ cleared out.” Trey said looking round the smoky bar.

“Yea I’m ready, go un-wrap Chuck from thing he’s making out with and remind him he’s our designated. He can come back for her after he drops us off.” I said and went to collect Abe.

“Come on Honest Abe we’re clearing out, you see anything you wanna take home with you? I’ll sleep on the couch if anything catches your eye.” I said laying a hand on the big guys shoulder, Abe looked up at me with cheesy grin.

“There ain’t anything here I want, lets roll.” Abe said standing up.

After the bar

Abe sat in the back seat of Chuck’s little Honda, his legs crammed in behind Chuck’s seat. Even drunk he was too damn nice, insisting Trey or Tristan take the front seat. Trey jumped at the chance, he didn’t seem to like Abe much, and not that Abe cared.

Tristan was right where he wanted him though, in the seat next to him. He liked Tristan, he liked him a lot. The last few weeks had been really cool; he’d had precious few flesh and blood friends since he was taken out of school as a kid.

To look at Abe now you wouldn’t know it but as a kid he was a real shrimp. Couple that with higher then average intelligence, a very shy attitude and a few too many lingering glances at the other boys in class and you had a recipe for bullying; coming home with a black eye or bloody nose was common place after he reached the fifth grade.

One day it had gotten a little out of hand and he really got his ass whipped one day after gym class. The kids that attacked him all backed each other up and no one who had seen it happen would come forward so it was only Abe’s word against theirs that it had been them.

That was the last straw for his mom, she took him out of public school and he never went back. He bounced around in a few different home schooling programs but something always happened, money ran out, the program went belly up, or the Truancy Officer would stick their nose in and tell them the program wasn’t accredited and that he’d have to switch.

The lack of contact with kids his age, along with a mountain of self confidence problems had pushed Abe to seek solace in cyber-space. Thanks to stuff like Yahoo and internet groups he had ‘friends’ all over the country but he’d never met any of them face to face.

The few friends Abe had locally were women about his age, they didn’t hang out together much though since they all seemed to have a thing for him…and that usually over rode any good time they could have had.

Abe was happy for the budding friendship he had with Tristan, aside from always wanting to be ‘one of the guys’ growing up it was just nice to be friends with someone who was nice to him for no other reason, not because they were attracted to him, not because they wanted him to do something for them; just nice to him for the sake of being nice.

Abe could live with that, he could tamp down the attraction he felt for Tristan and ignore the other, deeper feelings he was starting to have for the joy of being friends.

“I’m sorry about ditching you for the brunette earlier Abe, I’ve been bugging your for weeks to go out with me and my friends and I leave you hanging for piece of tail.” Tristan said once they were in the house.

“Dude relax, you didn’t ditch me. Beside she was hot; I’d have taken a shot at her if I were straight.” Abe had pulled off his t-shirt and was kicked back on the couch in just his sleeveless muscle shirt.

“Gay guys don’t ascribe to bros before hoes huh? I see how it is, prick.” Tristan replied jokingly as sat down on the couch with Abe, handing him a beer from the fridge.

“We’re bros now?” Abe asked surprised.

“Of course we are man. You saved me from getting my ass chewed out by my old man for coming home trashed. In my book that makes us bro’s.” Tristan replied, sounding shocked that Abe had to ask.

“Come on brother, I’m tired and I know your big ass can’t take the stairs on your own.” Tristan said as he stood up and extended his hand to Abe.

Abe smiled and took Tristan’s hand and let him pull him up off the couch. He grabbed his shirt and the two of them made for the stairs.

Tristan was right, Abe was a little too drunk to take the stairs on his own, he swayed dangerously every time he took a step up. Tristan, laughing as he did it, came up behind him and tossed Abe’s arm over his shoulders and wrapped his own around Abe’s waist and helped him up the stairs.

“Stop cackling you jackass.” Abe said, laughing himself as he said it.

Tristan couldn’t help it though, he didn’t know what it was but the entire scene was just funny. Guys like Abe didn’t get trashed and need help upstairs, they were goody goods.

“Abe what did you mean back at the bar? You said something about ‘I wish’ what do you wish man?” Tristan once they got him upstairs. He was too curious for his own good some times.

“Can’t tell you that.” Abe said relaxed against the wall.

“Why not man, I don’t care. I’m just curious.” Tristan pushed gently.

“Like you said, it doesn’t matter…you gotta promise it won’t change anything though.” Abe said, looking a little guilty.

“I promise dude, hand to god.” Tristan said raising his right hand.

“I meant that I’m attracted to you and that if you were gay I would take a run at you, happy?” Abe said and Tristan knew by the cheesy smile on his face that he wouldn’t say any of this sober.

“I’m flattered. I mean fuck dude, have you seen yourself, your nothing to turn you nose up at.” Tristan replied with a slight smile as he placed his hand on Abe’s shoulder.

“Yea, neither are you Tris.” Abe said, resting his hand on the side of Tristan’s neck.

Present Day

Its funny what alcohol does to your memory, the things it lets you remember and the stuff it makes you forget.

I don’t remember getting undressed that night; I don’t remember getting into Abe’s bed. I don’t even remember the pain that I’m sure I was in when Abe first put his cock in my ass.

What I do remember is how fucking good it felt to have him inside me; I remember Abe’s big hand jerking my painfully hard cock. What I remember clearest though is not fighting it, I remember wanting Abe, pushing back against his cock as he fucked me, wanting more.

I guess you can figure out why I’m standing here outside Abe’s door now huh? I’ve been here a lot since that night, watching Abe, wanting to get laid again. Not that I’ve told him that.

It’s taken me the better part of three weeks to convince Abe that he didn’t rape me or take advantage of me when I passed out or something. I lied my ass off when I told him that I remembered what happened that night and that I’d went along with the situation, I’m just glad that he didn’t call my bluff cause like I said, I dunno how it happened.

After I managed to calm his conscience I tried to get over it but I couldn’t I just kept coming back to that night, thinking about it, reliving it, pushing my memory to try and remember more, I’ve beat off to the memory of that night a thousand times or more.

I should have been honest with Abe after it happened, told him I wouldn’t have minded another romp but I wasn’t I lied and told it was a one time thing and to relax, not that he had.

Abe had been avoiding me like the plague since I managed to convince him that things were good between us. He wouldn’t stay in the same room with me, wouldn’t hang out or go cruising with me anymore.

It’s a fucked up feeling, missing someone you live with but it was true, I missed Abe. That short period where the two of us were friends had been one of the best times in my life. Abe just made things, I dunno, better. No matter where he was or what he was doing he lifted the mood, some how got people to have a better time.

Back to where we were though, standing here outside Abe’s door. While I’ve been here watching he managed to kick his blanket off and onto the floor so his whole body was on display. He slept in pair of boxer briefs and nothing else so the full scope of Abe’s muscled, hairy torso was on view. Not for the first time I had to quell the urge to slip inside the bedroom and run my hands over Abe’s body.

What did make me slip into tonight though was Abe curling up into a ball against his big body pillow. It was only September but we were having something of a cold snap this week and Abe’s room didn’t have a heat vent.

I slipped into the room as quietly as I could and picked up his blanket off the floor and carefully tossed it over him. Then I sat down on the floor and watched him sleep. Abe’s bed was hippy style (mattress and box spring on the floor) so everything was right at eye level.

For one wild moment I considered just stripping down and crawling into bed with Abe and trying to convince him to….well you know.

I didn’t though; I just sat there on the floor, watching him, wishing.

* * *

The next day

“Hey Abe, we gotta talk.” Tristan said to me as I got ready to leave for a painting job I had across town. It was an easy job, an elderly couple, they supplied the paint and the tool, they just needed someone to slap it on and it was only a small storage shed so it wouldn’t take me long.

“Sure, but make it kinda fast. I gotta job to get to.” Since the night we slept together I had been staying away from Tristan.

I didn’t trust myself to be around. I believed him when he told me that I hadn’t forced him or anything but that wasn’t what was wrong. I wanted Tristan more then ever, not just physically either. I wanted to be with Tristan, I wanted to try for something real.

I enjoyed being around him, being with him far more then two buddies should. I had been doing a good job at keeping all of it tamped down until that night. I dunno why but it seemed to just destroy all my barriers and my resolve.

I guess I just wasn’t the kind of guy who could have sex with someone they cared about and forget it…god I wish I could though.

“It’s about that night a couple of weeks ago, the night we had sex.” Tristan was looking uncomfortable…very.

“What about it…I didn’t think it was gonna be an issue.” I replied wishing more then ever that I hadn’t let him get started.

“Well I didn’t think it was gonna be but you seem to make it into one. You’ve not said three words to me since that night.” Tristan sounded hurt, which surprised me.

“I’m sorry…I’m just still coming to grips with things.” I said, copping out.

“Coming to grips with what Abe, I’ve told you a dozen times, you didn’t do anything wrong. You were drunk, I was trashed. It happened, neither one of us can change it. I just need to know if things can go back to how they were before, if we can be friends again.” Tristan asked and I didn’t know what to say.

I wanted to be friends again, but I also wanted more, much more.

“I dunno Tristan…I don’t think so…not for awhile at least.” I said and turned away to leave not trusting myself to be able to contain the tears I felt stinging behind my eyes.

“Then what about something else,” Tristan asked and I felt his hand on my shoulder, stopping, “That night wasn’t the worse night of my life, I wouldn’t mind trying it again, if you were up for it.” Tristan’s voice was low and heavy; it was pretty easy to tell that he wasn’t saying what I hoped he was.

“That ain’t gonna work either Tristan…”

“Why not, you said it yourself that things couldn’t go back to how they were, what more damage can the occasional hook up do.” Tristan said, I swear he could be clueless at times.

“Because that’s all you want Tristan, a hook up, a few hours of fun every now and then but I can’t do that.” I was doing my best to keep from confessing what I really I felt, what I really wanted.

“Why not Abe, you say you don’t remember that night but we both know it’s a lie. You remember how good it was, why deny yourself that feeling, it’s not like I’m asking you to marry me or something.” Tristan said jokingly and that was what got me.

“Exactly Tristan, that’s all you want, but I want something different; I want something more then that I want to be with you, really be with you but you don’t and I can’t pretend otherwise.” I said and left before Tristan could say anything else.

I don’t think…no I know I’ve never felt this bad. I understand what folks mean when they say they’re heart broken. That’s what it feels like; it literally feels like heart is shattering with every beat.

* * *

Saturday night, one week later

I was sitting outside Eddie’s gay bar. Everyone knew about Eddies, it was the only legit gay bar for about fifty miles.

What brings me here you ask? Well I’ll tell you. Since talking to Abe last week I’ve been hurting like hell. Not because I got shot down or got my feelings hurt. No I was hurting because I hurt Abe. I mean I really hurt him, now he wouldn’t even look at me and I’d heard him crying in his room at night the few times we had to be close to each other.

Doesn’t explain why I’m here though huh? I’m here because I think I might actually love Abe, fucked up sounding right? Well it’s true, I’ve never felt this bad before, and I’ve hurt a lot of people, physically and emotionally (I’m a bastard remember) and I’ve never felt bad about it.

But Abe was different, I wanted Abe, I wanted him to be happy and strangely enough, I wanted to be the one to make him happy. I want to give him whatever he needs to be happy. But I also don’t want to risk hurting him anymore; I think that might kill me.

I’m here at Edie’s to find out if I am attracted to other guys or if it’s just Abe. If I get turned on by any of the guys in this place then I know what I’m feeling might not be real that it could fade if some one hotter then Abe came along (although I doubt if there is anyone hotter then Abe out there). But if I wasn’t or if Abe was all I could think about then I knew it was real, and I could go home and convince Abe to give me a shot, give us a shot.

I know the logic doesn’t exactly add up but cut me some slack this is the best that I can come up with, beside this feels like the right course of action; I dunno why it just does.

Ok so here I go, my first foray into a gay bar, wish me luck.

* * *

I was lying back in bed, silently thanking Tristan for going out tonight. He’d been hanging around the house every night since we slept together.

I was glad to see him go but I couldn’t help but wish he was staying home with me.

Thankfully before that train of thought could go any further my cell phone started to ring

The caller ID showed Big Gina’s phone number, she shouldn’t be calling me this late on a Saturday; she’s bartending up at Edie’s

“Hey Big Gina, it’s me what’s up?” I asked concerned.

“Honey you need to get up here and fast. Your boy is here.” Big Gina sounded scared, I dunno why though.

I’d been talking to Gina ever since that night; I knew she was the one person I could talk to that wouldn’t jump my case or be all mental about it. I even texted a picture of him to show the kind of physical attraction I was up against.

“Gina he’s a big boy, he’s probably just looking for someone who’ll fuck him since I won’t.” I’m not quite sure I managed to keep the longing out of my voice but Gina wouldn’t rib me for it.

“Honey that’s the problem, Malcolm is here. He’s been looking at him like a starving man looks at an all you can eat buffet since the minute he walked in…and he just went over and started talking to him…honey I tried to steer him away but he ain’t listening.”

Fuck that’s why Big Gina was scared, Malcolm wasn’t the kind of guy to mess around with…I know from experience.

“Fuck Gina…I’m on the way. I don’t care if you have to bring out the baseball bat and break Tristan’s legs, DO NOT LET HIM LEAVE WITH MALCOLM and watch Tristan’s drink if Malcolm so much as touches the glass throw a Jack bottle at him or something. ” I hung up and tossed on some clothes and headed down to my car…I couldn’t live with myself if Tristan left that bar with Malcolm…no one deserved what that guy does to you.

* * *

I hadn’t been in Edie’s ten minutes when this guy walked over to me and asked if he could sit down. I had to admit I was glad for it; I was a little out of my element here. Edie’s wasn’t much different then your average bar it had a few pool tables, a couple dart boards and some pretty good music. It’s just that all the girls and the all the guys were separate. I didn’t normally go to bars to talk to guys so I was unsure of what to do.

“Yea, have a seat.” I said and he sat down with a smile.

“My name’s Malcolm, and maybe its just me but you seem a little out of place.” He said with a smile.

Malcolm seemed like a decent guy, the way he smiled though was a little strange, mechanical looking.

“I’m Tristan, its good to meet you and your right this place is a little outside my comfort zone.” I said and shook his hand.

“Well, let’s see if we can’t change that shall we?” Malcolm asked with a wink. I had to admit he was kind of cool, and hot. He was taller and more muscular then Abe and he knew how to show it off. His tight black tank top and tight jeans left very little to the imagination.

We got to talking about nothing in general and the more we talked the more at ease I got, like I said he was hot but I wasn’t feeling anything. I mean yea he was hot and he was bringing it too, he bantered back and forth about how good looking I was and how I wasted on this little bar, basically all the shit I’d say to a girl I was trying to pick.

It wasn’t the same though, I couldn’t get Abe out of my mind, if we were on good terms with each other and had he been there He’d probably be laughing his ass off me.

“Why don’t we get out of here, my place ain’t far. We could get to know each other better.” He said placing his hand over mine, which for some reason sent shivers up my spin…not the good kind either.

“No I don’t think so; I’m gonna get going I think.” I said and pulled my hand from under his. I got my answer.

“Let me walk you out then.” He said, grabbing my wrist, hard.

“I think he made it pretty clear asshole, now get the fuck away from him.” I turned around to find Abe standing behind me, looking fucking PISSED.

* * *

I parked in the back lot and slipped in the back door and came up behind Big Gina behind the bar.

“Where they at?” I whispered and Gina nearly shot a foot into the air.

“Damnit baby, you need to be careful, you know how damage a Crown Royal bottle can to that pretty little head of yours,” Big Gina asked, clutching her ample chest in shock,” They’re over there. Malcolm isn’t gonna be easy to get rid, he’s really bringing it out.” Big Gina said, pointing across the room.

I looked across the room to see Tristan getting chatted up by Malcolm. Malcolm was hot, even as fucked up as I was feeling I could admit that, he was talker then me with dark blonde hair, what made him look really fucked up was his eyes…they were such a dark brown that they looked black at times.

“Give me a double shot of false courage Gina, and make it fast.” Gina gave me a scared, sideways look and poured me a double shot Wild Turkey. I hated to drink the shit straight but the way it burned seemed to light something of a fire in me, I tended to get a little mean or angry on it…which is why Gina refused to serve it to me straight.

“Be careful baby boy.” Gina whispered as I slipped from behind the bar, ignoring the longing looks I was getting.

“Why don’t we get out of here, my place ain’t far. We could get to know each other better.” I heard Malcolm say as he laid his hand on top of Tristan’s seeing that stoked the fire in my gut…He’d done the same to me.

“No I don’t think so; I’m gonna get going I think.” I heard Tristan say, I couldn’t see his face but I watched as he slipped his hand from under Malcolm’s…that made me happy.

“Let me walk you out then.” Malcolm said, bragging Tristan’s wrist, this was over with, NOW

“I think he made it pretty clear asshole, now get the fuck away from him.” I said, from right behind Tristan, his head snapped up and for some reason he looked scared….

“Well, well, well. If it isn’t Big Gina’s pet gorilla, Abraham, how longs it been boy.” Malcolm said in mock surprise.

“Not long enough Malcolm. He said let go, I suggest you do it.” I said stepping passed Tristan, closer to Malcolm.

“Is he yours?” Malcolm asked, and I saw his grip on Tristan tighter…Malcolm wasn’t above starting a bar fight when it came to me, Gina and I had been a thorn in his side for quite some time.

“No, and he ain’t yours, now I said LET GO!!” I shouted when as Malcolm made to stand up, bringing Tristan with him. I didn’t wait though, I reached forward and grabbed hold of Malcolm’s wrist, pressing hard on the back of his wrist with my fingers and on the bone on the side with my thumb I twisted it sharply to the right, making him gasp in pain and let go of Tristan at the same time.

“Abe…what the fucks going on?” Tristan asked but I didn’t answer, I reached out and pushed him behind me, away from Malcolm.

“You don’t want to start this with me…boy.” Malcolm said through gritted teeth…No one had ever stood up to Malcolm in as long as I had been coming to Edie’s.

“You started this the second you came back Malcolm, and sped it up when you tried to make a pass at my friend. I’m giving you a chance to walk out of here, freely and not come back here, EVER.” Even as I said this I knew Malcolm wouldn’t do it, the look of incredulity on his face proved that.

“What are you gonna do if I don’t pretty boy?” Malcolm asked with a smirk, he wasn’t taking me seriously.

“I know what you are Malcolm, take off now and this is the end of it. Stay and I’ll make sure everyone knows about you. I’ve got a few folks on various police forces around here that would love an anonymous tip about you.” I had to fight the urge not to take a step back as the look on his face became murderous.

“What is it you THINK you know Abe?” Malcolm asked with a sadistic looking smile.

“His name was Barry Conner. He’d just turned twenty-one the night he met you, here at Edie’s. He didn’t belong here, too sweet, too naïve. You played on that though, kept buying him drinks, telling him how cute he was, you made that pretty boy fall in love you in under half an hour.

He left here with you that night, and turned up three days later at the hospital emergency room, starved, dehydrated, bloody, bruised and worst of all raped. From what I understand repeatedly, what was the strange though is that he was perfectly clean when they found him outside the door. Some places on his body were scrubbed so hard that the top layer of his skin had been rubbed off completely.

Now I know for a fact that he gave your name as his attacker and that there were cops stationed outside his room, what I haven’t figured out yet is how you got to him, how you managed to get him to change his story because suddenly he got ‘amnesia’ couldn’t remember a thing, he even refuted the statement he gave to the cops.

Now I promise you, if you don’t leave I will PERSONALLY plaster your picture up in every bar, nightclub and Men’s room for fifty miles, and they’ll NEVER be able to trace it back to me. You leave tonight, and go far, far away and I’ll let the folks where ever you end up deal with you.” I could practically hear the cogs’ working behind Malcolm’s enraged face, he wanted to know how I knew what I did…he’d never get it from me though.

Before I had a chance to react though Malcolm had reached forward and grabbed me by the collar of my shirt, all around me I heard people moving toward me but I raised my hands and waved them off…It sounded like someone might be holding Tristan back.

“And what happens if I take you out back and make YOU forget what happened?” Malcolm’s voice was the low and close to my face…no one could hear him but me.

I leaned in and whispered so only he could hear me.

“I’m one of four people who know Malcolm, you can do what ever you want to me but it won’t help you. Hell you can kill me if you want but they’ll carry out my mission for me.”

Malcolm sneered in anger and threw me away from him, then reared back and tried to punch me in my gut whether because of anger or booze though Malcolm was too slow and I managed to side step and land a right hook to his jaw, which really fucking hurt.

“Oooh you’ve grown a pair since we met last, I like a little fire in my bitches.’ Malcolm said as he wiped a trickle of blood from the corner of his mouth, and then rushed me.

I clutched my side as he reared back to hit me again, but a quick kick to his shin changed that. He tripped and hit a table behind me. I heard breaking glass and turned to see Malcolm with a broken beer bottle.

Tristan tried to jump him from behind but the four people holding him wouldn’t let go. He looked scared…the busted bottle in Malcolm’s hand had me scared too.

Before Malcolm had gone two steps though, Big Gina had appeared behind him and with a dull thud Malcolm froze in mid step, his eyes rolled back in his head and he fell face first onto the floor, up ending a table as he fell.

“NO ONE hurts Big Gina’s babies and you can take that to the bank MOTHA FUCKER!!” Big Gina waved her billy club threateningly over Malcolm’s unconscious body.

“Big Gina what the hell are you doing, you can’t do that shit, you trying to get in trouble. At least I could’ve claimed self defense.” I asked and she looked at me line I was stupid.

“Honey what you talking bout. He didn’t know it was me, this here club will be floating down the river come morning and ain’t NO FUCKING BODY IN THIS PLACE DONE HEARD OR SEEN A THING…AIN’T THAT RIGHT FOLKS?” Big Gina raised her voice as she looked around the room, no one disagreed with her.

She drug me and a very stunned looking Tristan to the office behind the bar where she had small glass of greenish red liquid sitting on the desk.

I balked as I saw that glass….I knew what was in it.

“Good god…that’s not Salvation is it?” I asked already knowing the answer.

“That depends; if I tell you it ain’t will it make it true in your mind?” She asked with a cheeky smile.

“No Ma’am,” I said picking up the glass, I gulped, “Do I have to?”

“Yes you do. Honey you gotta get going home, and take this one with you,” She said grabbing a still bewildered looking Tristan and pushing him toward me, “You need to drink it all down to cover the whiskey on your breath and flush it out of your system faster. You’re far too precious to be this angry and mean.” She said giving me a very motherly look.

I looked down at the glass then back at Big Gina, she wasn’t above forcing me to drink it. I looked over at Tristan, now he wasn’t looking confused; he had that wide eyed look that I’d come to associate with him being scared.

I looked back at the cup and before I could think about it I tossed it down. I nearly vomited half way through but managed to keep it down. No one knew what was in Salvation but I could taste Tabasco sauce and even a little vinegar…what else was there I didn’t want to think.

I wanted to throw the glass at the wall as I finished it but managed to control the urge…barely.

Big Gina must have seen the look on my face because she pried the class out of my hand.

“That’s good sugar,” She said then looked at Tristan, her hand out stretched, “Gimme your keys. You’re not driving tonight I’ll take your car back to my place and my darling Abe will bring you to get it tomorrow.” For a second Tristan looked like he wanted to argue, but thought better of it and fished his keys out of his pocket and handed them to her.

“That’s good boy. Now you two get on out of here, Big Gina will take care of everything, don’t you two worry bout a thing.” She said as she ushered us out of the back door.

* * *

I was still freaking out…for weeks on end all I wanted was Abe next to me but not like this. Abe sat behind the wheel rigid and stone like, he was cold and angry, you could feel it.

I guess it was the best I could expect from such a fucked up night. Getting chummy with an apparent psychopath, the demanding yet oddly kind bartender…the most shocking thing though was Abe.

I didn’t know he could be so…so angry…violent. Looking around the room as he spoke and fought with Malcolm, people seemed more afraid of Abe then Malcolm. I wasn’t scared though, I could see why Abe was angry. Malcolm was everything Abe despised; he was evil, violent and abusive.

“Abe talk to me. I need to know what happened tonight.” I said, something more was going on between Malcolm and Abe, Abe was a good guy but there was more then anger in Abe’s voice…there was pain.

“You were there, you saw what happened.” Abe copped out.

“You know what I mean Abe. Malcolm did a lot more then what said tonight; he did something to you.” I said and Abe’s entire body seemed to clench.

“Why do you want to know Tristan?” Abe asked his voice slightly more then a whisper.

“Because Abe, you can hate me if you want, but you’re my Bro and I care about you.” I said reaching out and putting my hand on his arm.

Either because of what I said or because my hand was on him, I dunno which but Abe seemed to calm down some.

“It was a few weeks after I turned twenty one. Mom and your dad were out of town and I wanted to go out, I knew about Edie’s, everyone did. So I went up on my own. I loved the place as soon as I walked in, the music was good and it wasn’t too crowded, everyone seemed pretty nice.

Big Gina saw me and immediately took a shine to me, calling me her adopted son. She set me up with a Jack and coke and sent me on a tour of the room.

That’s how I met Malcolm. He’s got a thing for newbie’s you see, guys who just came of age. He conned me into a corner both and started doing what he does best, playing on my insecurities, pumping me full of cheap booze and heavy compliments. Somewhere along the lines he must have slipped me something, stuff gets a little fuzzy thinking about it.

I remember being in the alley behind the bar, having Malcolm’s hands all over me, whatever he gave me made me weak, I couldn’t throw him off. Then he had me pinned against the wall, and then I felt him fall against my back and things go dark from there.” Abe had to stop here and take breath, wiping his eyes on the back of his hand.

“It was Big Gina. Just like tonight she had snuck up behind us and cold cocked him. She told me she hid me in the back room till closing time then got into my wallet, found out where I lived and drove me home after close.

She stayed with me all night, making sure I was ok and that he hadn’t over dosed me on whatever he slipped me. The next day she told me what happened, explained the entire thing. She warned me that Malcolm was a regular and that he had some sort of in with the owner, she couldn’t bar him. She warned me to stay away…but I couldn’t do that. I couldn’t let him do it again.” Abe’s voice was thick with emotion, what sort though I dunno.

“So you’ve been going up there to cock block him to keep guys from getting hurt.” I said and Abe nodded.

“Me and Big Gina, we’ve succeeded more times then we’ve failed. We’ve managed to slip guys notes, whisper a warning when they came to the bar for a drink or sidle up to them when Malcolm went to the bathroom or something. We did really well until the night when Barry came in.” Abe stopped here and had to calm himself down; I knew the emotion in his voice this time…guilt.

“How did you know about everything that happened?” I knew Abe wouldn’t hear that it wasn’t his fault. He wasn’t that kind of guy.

“Gina has some cousins that work at the county hospital. They’re the ones who found the guy outside the emergency room. They told her, in strictest confidence, about him and she had a bad feeling. She made them tell her his name and she put two and two together, knowing Malcolm’s predilections well by then. She told me and like I said, I know a few cops…they filled in the missing pieces.

After Barry recanted his statement Malcolm dropped off the map, we figured he picked up and packed out and was somewhere out of state. Tonight was the first time he’s been in Edie’s in over a year.” Abe said as we pulled into the drive way, talking about all this seemed to make the trip go by fast, go figure.

I got out of the car and followed Abe up to the house; he unlocked the door and made directly for the stairs. I followed him upstairs as quietly as I could but Abe didn’t seem to hear me. Once we made it to my room Abe turned to go into his bedroom but I took hold of his arm and stopped him.

He looked at me with hurt and pain in his eyes and for an instant I considered not going through with it, just letting Abe go and let him get over all the hurt I caused him. Maybe I was being selfish but something pushed me forward, made me feel like I had to do it.

“We need to talk to Abe.” I said, my mouth going dry.

“Please Tristan, not tonight….I can’t do this now.” Abe said quietly.

“It has to be tonight Abe, it has to be now; or else it’ll never happen,” I said and Abe looked dubious but complied, he pulled his arm free from my grip and rested back against the wall.

“I’m sorry Abe, for all of this. If I hadn’t given you that stupid speech in the kitchen then maybe none of this would have happened. I wouldn’t have gone up to Edie’s, you wouldn’t have had to come and rescue me and you wouldn’t have had to relive all this.” I said and I saw recognition dawn on him.

“Why were you at Edie’s tonight, it’s not your kind of place.” Abe said, looking confused.

“I’ve been thinking about that. I’m glad you asked because I’ve had no idea how to tell you.” I said, pulling off my jacket, the temp seemed to have spiked.

“And?” Abe asked, looking expectant.

“You told me that day in the kitchen that you care about me Abe, that you wanted to try and be something real with me and that I didn’t want the same thing. I saw how much that hurt you, how much I hurt you. I’ve never felt so much guilt and shame over hurting someone before.

That got me thinking, why did that cause such an ache in my chest when I thought about you? Why did I hurt so much when I’d hear you crying in your room at night?” Abe tried to interrupt me here but I didn’t let him, I just plowed on.

“It hurts Abe, because how I feel about you is different then how I’ve ever felt about anyone before. It’s was more, better, stronger then anything else I’ve ever felt. I care about you Abe and I want to make you happy again.” I stopped here to let my words sink in, I was looking Abe straight in the eye but still couldn’t tell what he was feeling or thinking.

The last thing I was expecting though was to get sucker punched in the jaw. It wasn’t nearly as hard as Abe had punched Malcolm but it still hurt.

“That was unexpected, but I deserved it.” I said rubbing my jaw and looking at Abe, he looked to be feeling somewhere between guilty, angry and sad.

“I don’t want to hear this bullshit, not tonight, not ever.” Abe said and tried to walk away, that wasn’t gonna happen.

I did something really stupid, I grabbed Abe and pressed him up against the wall, he tried to swing at me again but I managed to pull back in time. Before he could move again I grabbed his head, placing my hands on either side to make him look at me, he could throw me off the roof if he wanted to afterward but he had to hear me out.

“I went up to Edie’s tonight because I needed a test, I needed to make sure that what was going on in my head, in my heart was real. You know what was going through my mind the entire time I was there? You, all that sweet talk from Malcolm, all the looks and the whispers I knew I was getting, none of it mattered; not a damn bit. I wanted to be here with you, I still want to be with you Abe, knowing you, being around you, it’s been the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

I know I fucked things up last time we talked, I hadn’t figured it out yet and I’m sorry because I hurt you but I’m not sorry that it happened because it woke me up. You want to be with me Abe; I want to be with you. I want you to be happy Abe and I want to be the one to make you happy.

I love you Abe. I swear it’s true, I’ve never felt anything like this before. Give in, give me the chance we both know you want to give me and I swear you won’t regret it.” I poured it all out to Abe as fast as I could, afraid that he would knock me away before I could finish, but he didn’t, he didn’t even try to move when I was done.

Abe closed his eyes and rested his head against the wall, I relaxed my grip but didn’t let go completely; instead I let me hands rest on either side of my neck.

Just as I was giving it up for a lost cause and was about to walk away Abe opened his eyes and wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me against him.

“Say it again.” Abe whispered; I could hear the need in his voice.

I looked up into those big blue eyes of his and smiled.

“I love you…you big fucking bruiser.” I said and Abe leaned in and pressed his lips against mine.

I felt Abe’s tongue touch my lips and opened up and let him in. The second Abe’s tongue touched mine I melted. You always hear about these kisses that are supposed to be earth shattering but I always thought that they were stuff of movies or cheap romance novels.

Not this though, this was real. Abe’s tongue stroked mine and pulled back and let me fondle his.

His raised his hand and cupped the side of my face; I winced and pulled away a bit.

“I hurt you.” Abe whispered sadly.

“It’s nothing Abe, don’t worry about it.” I said and pulled him back down, needing another kiss.

Abe had other ideas though, he turned my head slightly and trailed kisses carefully along my jaw, where he had hit me, all the way back to me ear.

“I’m sorry; I swear I won’t hurt you again.” He whispered before moving down to my neck, his lips and tongue tasting my neck and my collar bone.

I ran my hands down his back and up under his shirt, rubbing the tight muscles of his back and shoulders.

Abe had had his fun, sucking on my neck and shoulder, now it was my turn. I slipped my hands from under his shirt and pushed him straight up. He looked confused and I smiled as I reached for the hem of his shirt. He smiled at me as I raised his shirt and he lifted his arms to let me pull it off him.

He reached for me but I backed up and pulled off my own shirt and let it fall on top of his on the floor. He stood slumped against the wall and watched me as I trailed my hands down my torso, yea I was showing off a bit, don’t judge me.

Finally I got to touch that beautiful body; I wrapped my arms around him and tucked my head against his furry chest, inhaling the scent of his skin. Abe wrapped his arms tight around me as I moved my head lower, flicking his nipple with my tongue which earned me a growl of approval from him, as literal growl.

Abe pulled me away and kissed me hard, fuck I was never gonna get tired of kissing this guy, just something about his kiss, the heat, the tenderness just the raw fucking power he put into it, he was fucking amazing.

I pulled away from him and looked up at his flushed face. I needed him.

“I want you Abe; we can take it as slow as you want after tonight but be with me tonight, I want the real thing; make love to me.” I know, I’m begging, fuck off.

Abe smiled at me then started kissing his way down my chest and stomach till he was kneeling on the ground, eye level with the tent in my jeans.

My mind was blank as he untied my boots and raised each of my legs and pulled them off. He smiled up at me as he flicked the zipper on my jeans up and down.

“You sure?” He asked and all I could do was nod with a stupid smile.

He popped the button on my jeans and pulled the zipper down slowly then grabbed the waist band of both them and my boxers and pulled them to the floor. My hard six inch cock bounced free of it confinement and against my stomach.

I watched as Abe closed his eyes and licked his lips slowly but he didn’t attempt to touch my dick in anyway, but he stood and took my hand and pulled me toward my futon, but I stopped and pulled him toward his room instead.

The ceiling light in Abe’s room was on a dimmer so once we walked in he turned the dial just enough to make the room bright enough so that we could see each other.

I lay back on Abe’s bed as I watched him strip out of his remaining clothes till he stood in front of my completely naked. Like his torso and arms Abe’s thighs and calves were heavy and the muscles were well formed, and dusted heavily with the same black fur as his upper body

I sat up as he walked over to the bed, his thick seven incher swaying slightly as he walked. He knelt down in front of me and spread my legs and reached out for my cock. Abe’s hand was smooth but firm at the same time, I didn’t have time to savor the feeling though, before I realized he was doing it Abe and lowered his head and took my cock into his mouth.

I bit my bottom lip to stifle a moan as he slid up and down my prick, his tongue teasing the underside of the head when he’d pull back. Soon Abe was taking all six inches of my cock. Abe’s mouth wiped all thought from my mind as I ran my finger through his short black hair, his baby blues were closed as one hand busied itself with his cock.

A sudden urge came over me and I pulled Abe off my cock and leaned over and kissed him.

“Get up here on the bed babe; I wanna try a sixty-nine, that cock is too sweet to only get a hand job.” I said and Abe smiled at me delightedly.

We lay down side by side, level with each other’s groins and Abe wasted no time going back to work on my cock. Abe’s cock was just like its owner, long, thick, well formed and fucking impossibly hard. A clear, glistening, drop of precum had collected in the slit of Abe’s cock, my mouth watered at the sight, at the thought of tasting it.

I leaned in and swiped my tongue across the little opening, tasting the salty little drop then ran the tip of my tongue around the ridge of the head. Abe growled around my cock (fuck that’s a turn on).

Feeling encouraged I went for it, I didn’t just want to return the favor to Abe, I wanted to make him feel as good as he was making me feel. Abe’s cock was like a hot steel rod covered in silk, it felt so fucking good sliding against my tongue. I used the precum he was leaking to help slick up the heavy shaft, wanting to take every inch of it like Abe was doing mine, but I could only take a little over half so I devoted myself to make him feel as good as I could.

I tightened my lips around his shaft and massaged him with my tongue, and was rewarded with a groan from him.

Wanting to prolong this as long I could I pulled off Abe’s beautiful cock and turned my attention to his ample nuts. I bathed the smooth scrotum with my tongue and took turns sucking each of the heavy orbs into my mouth.

I slipped my tongue behind Abe’s sack and went into sensory over load, the taste of Abe’s sweet sweat, the pheromone scent from his body, the feel of Abe’s hot mouth sucking on my cock. I felt Abe’s cock leaking onto my chest and went back to nursing on the thick manhood.

Soon though I felt my balls start to draw up and had to pull away from Abe, I couldn’t cum yet, I needed to feel Abe’s cock in me first.

I rolled on to my back and Abe stood up on his knees and smiled as his eyes swept up and down my body.

“You getting a little exciting baby?” Abe asked, running his finger tips along my sensitive cock.

I smiled a bit and felt my face heat up as Abe licked his lips again, I never blushed before tonight but I just couldn’t help it, whenever he looked at me I just couldn’t stop the blood rushing my face.

“I wanna try something,” Abe whispered and crawled on his knees down to ankles, “Raise your legs babe.” Abe said and I couldn’t wait, finally Abe was gonna be mine.

I closed my eyes as Abe spread my ass cheeks, and couldn’t help but shiver in pleasure as I felt his thick fingers press and probe my tight hole.

The penetration I was expecting, even hoping for didn’t happened, instead I felt something warm, rough and wet lapping against my ass.

“Oh fuck…” I groaned as I realized what Abe was doing, Abe was fucking rimming me.

I’d never felt anything like this before, Abe’s tongue sent shivers through my body he pressed harder against my hole till I could feel him lapping at my insides. I groaned and pushed back against the slick little invader, needing more of that feeling that was making my legs shake.

I dunno how long Abe kept at it pushing his tongue deep inside and pulling it out, driving me fucking crazy each time he’d pull all the way out and jut back in.

Soon though Abe pulled his tongue from my now dripping hole and ran it up along my cock and across my stomach and chest till he reached my face, he smiled at me as he rubbed his dick against mine.

“You enjoying yourself Tris?” He asked as he nuzzled against my neck.

“You’re fucking amazing Abe, just fucking amazing. But enough foreplay, I can’t take anymore. I want you.” I said as Abe raised himself onto his hands.

“I was just waiting for you to say the word babe.” Abe said with a smile as he rolled to the side of the bed and pulled a bottle of lube and a box of condoms from under the table there.

“Do we really need the condoms?” I asked, feeling a little embarrassed by what I was thinking.

“Are you sure babe, I mean I know we’re both clean and all but…I don’t think I’ll be able to stop.” Abe said looking shy himself.

“So, I told you Abe. I want the real thing.” I said and Abe smiled shyly rolling back to me.

I raised my legs again and Abe move back between them, spreading the clear gel on his cock as he went.

Abe took my legs and wrapped them around his waist as he pressed his cock against asshole. Whether because of the lube, Abe’s fucking amazing rim job, or just the fact of how much I wanted it, there was barely any pain as Abe slide into me.

Soon Abe’s cock buried in me to the hilt, I could feel the hard flesh rod throbbing inside me as Abe pulled his cock all the way out and thrust it back in.

I reached up for Abe and pulled him down against me, pressing his furry body against mine, his ripped stomach massaging my cock.

Abe braced himself on his fore arms and worked into a slow, steady rhythm as I let my hands wander up and down his body, massaging the thick muscles of his back, rubbing his furry chest, and sides.

Abe had to be a virgin, he couldn’t make someone feel this good and them not stick around. Every single part of my body was on fire because of him, his scent filled my nose and his sweat was sharp and thick on my tongue as I ran it across his chest and up to his neck, earning me another growl from Abe’s throat.

Abe rose up to his knees and raised my legs up and rested them on his shoulders, his big hand wrapped around my cock and he began to pound into me harder, his cock a constant graze against my love nut.

“Fuck Abe, that’s it babe harder make me shoot, fill me up.” I said in pure fucking ecstasy as Abe’s cock pummeled my ass, fuck I was in heaven.

Abe growled his agreement and his grip on my aching dick became vice like.

I couldn’t hold out any more, my entire body burned white hot and my cock exploded the best fucking orgasm I had ever had drenched my chest and stomach in cum, as the muscles in my ass clenched hard around Abe’s throbbing cock I felt him explode inside me, flooding me with his seed.

I let my legs fall from Abe’s shoulders and wrapped them back around his waist, pulling him down against me as I did.

My cum stuck us together as I pressed my lips against his, my tongue delving into his hot mouth our tongues wrestling for control of the other.

Abe pulled away and started to lick the sweat off my neck and throat then continued down my chest, scooping the remains of my cum into his mouth,

I ran my fingers through his hair and down his back as he drank up every last drop, pure fucking joy written all over his face.

“You’re amazing Abe, a fucking king.” I said as Abe looked up at me and smiled.

“I don’t want to be a King, Kings have to marry Queens, and you’re no Queen.” He said as he pulled his soft cock out me and lay down next to me, pulling into his chest.

Ignoring the empty feeling from the loss of Abe’s big cock I wrapped my arms around him and rested my head on his furry chest, inhaling the sweaty, musky scent on his body.

“Damn straight I’m no fucking Queen babe, not now or ever. So what do you want to be?” I asked looking up at him, smiling.

“I wanna be a Prince; Princes get to bed all the hot Knights and sweet Squire Boys.” Abe said with a laugh.

“I guess you’re a Prince then, but the only hot Knight you better be bedding is me.” I replied and Abe pulled me up to him and kissed me.

“Come on Sir Tristan, we need a shower.” Abe said as he pulled away and rolled out bed.

“Whatever you say Sire.” I replied and got to follow him.

We walked down stairs to the bathroom, not bothering to grab any clothes, it was nearing two am; we were the only ones up.

I leaned against the bathroom wall as Abe opened the shower stall an adjusted the heat of the water, when it was ready he stepped in and pulled me in with him. Abe ducked under the steamy spray long enough to wet his hair and body, I couldn’t help but watch in awe as the water trickled down his muscled form, the little droplets collecting on his fur.

Abe saw that I was staring and smiled at me.

“Come here you.” Abe said as he pulled me under the hot water with him.

Keeping us under the hot water Abe kissed me gently and ran his hands over my body rubbing the hot water over me. He moved us from under the spray and lifter my arms over my head. He ran his hands down my arms and let the tips of his fingers brush my under arms and I couldn’t help but giggle, I was ticklish.

“You’re ticklish eh babe…so does this feel good?” He asked then leaned down and licked my underarm.

I shocked at first but got into it pretty quick, it felt really fucking good and Abe was enjoying himself, I was happy.

“Damn Abe you’re kinky.” I said as he moved from one arm to the other then started kissing my chest.

Abe blushed and grabbed my Axe body wash and pulled us back under the hot water, he lathered up his hands and started to clean me up, his hands running up and down my arms, chest and stomach.

“I know…it’s weird…I couldn’t help myself though. I caught your scent while were cuddling up with each other and I wanted a taste…your not freaked out are you?” Abe asked shyly as he cleaned my back.

“Fuck no Abe, I love this side of you, I love YOU. Beside I wish I had your courage to push the envelope like that. I love the way you smell, the way you taste…but I’d have been too chicken to do what you did….outside of the bedroom.” I replied and Abe kissed my neck in reply.

Abe knelt down and ran his soapy hands up and down my legs and stroked his soapy hands up my semi hard cock, Abe’s attention was a turn on but above anything else it just felt good to have someone taking care of me like this, who wanted to.

Abe was thorough, cleaning me up outside and inside, he pushed against my lower back and I leaned forward and pushed my ass back toward him. He ran his slippery fingers across my asshole and probed inside a bit, it took me a minute to realize what he was doing.

Even with that though I couldn’t help but get excited, his fingers kept grazing over my prostate. I groaned loudly and I heard Abe chuckle as his slipped his fingers from inside me and stood up.

“I’m sorry babe, I didn’t want to get you all hot and bothered, I just didn’t want you leaking all over the sheets.” Abe said before kissing my chest.

I didn’t answer though; I turned to look at him and stroked my semi hard cock a few times with a smile. I played for a second and reached for Abe’s shower gel and his poof and lathered it up.

Once it was nice and foamy and the scent of Irish spring filled the steamy alcove I went to work on him.

“You don’t have to do this; I cleaned you up because….well I wanted to.” Abe said as I washed his chest, stomach and arms.

“I want to though, just like you did.” I said and kept up my work; I raised his arms and cleaned his arm pits, turned him around and did his back and butt then knelt down and cleaned his legs and then very, VERY slowly cleaned his cock which was impressive even when it was soft. It lay nestled above his low hangers and was nearly four inches soft.

I stopped my work when his cock started to expand.

“Asshole.” Abe said as we rinsed each other off under the water.

We washed our own hair, (we both liked to keep it really short), and then stepped out and dried each other off.

“Why don’t you go upstairs and get in bed babe, I need to check the back door, make sure it’s locked.” Abe said as he wrapped his arms around me and kissed my neck.

“Course, Abe; sounds good.” I said and watched as Abe walked down the hall, his meaty ass bouncing a bit as he walked.

I took the stairs two at a time, trying to be quite (our folks’ room was right next to the stairs), grabbed my pillow from the futon and went into Abe’s room.

I tossed my pillow on the left side of the bed, Abe slept on the right, and lay down and pulled Abe’s big blanked up to my waist, just then realizing that it was white and soft on one side with a bright pink, silky top.

I couldn’t help but roll around a bit in the bed; Abe’s scent was everywhere, the pillows, the sheet, the blanket; I pulled his big body pillow up against me and buried my face in Abe’s pillow. God I could understand why Abe liked this blanket, it felt SO good against my naked body.

“If you don’t stop thrashing around and humping my bed then I’m gonna have to jump in their and nail you’re sweet butt again.” I jerked in surprise when I heard Abe’s voice.

He was standing just inside the doorway, his heavy cock nearly fully hard again.

“I’m too tired tonight Sire, just get in here with me.” I replied and scooted over to my side of the bed.

Abe smiled and crawled in next to me and stroked a hand down my side and I rolled over with my back to him.

“Can I hold you Tris?” Abe asked in a whisper, it was easy to hear that he was afraid, probably that I’d say no. I didn’t though, I wanted Abe’s big arms around me, feel his furry chest against my back.

“Of course you can Abe, I’ve always been a snuggler, I’ve just never been on the receiving end.” I said and realized too late my pun.

Abe though didn’t laugh he just wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled us close to each other, his big chest to my skinny back.

He snuggled his head down against the back of my neck and I made myself comfortable against his warm body and fell asleep.

I woke up sometime in the early morning, grayish sunlight coming through the window. I felt weird; I dunno how to describe it. Abe’s arm was still around my waist but I wasn’t warm.

As though I had been thinking about it the entire time I was asleep. I wondered silently if I could really do this, if I could live with Abe, if I could give up everything I was to be with him.

I rolled over and looked at Abe’s sleeping face, the weak light lit up his face and he seemed so…content.

I could do it, in a fucking heart beat. I wasn’t such a good guy before I met Abe; I was a prick, a bastard. I never really cared about anyone; I mean I loved my family and was nice to my friends. But I never really felt anything deep for anyone.

Being with Abe, knowing him; it made me a better person, made me want to be better. So long as being with Abe made me feel this good, made me this happy, I could do it and as I moved closer and nestled my head against his chest I prayed that I always felt this way…I didn’t want to loose this guy…this Prince.

A year and a bit more later

I saw Tristan and two others sitting on a bench under a big tree at the corner of the campus. Tris had sent me a text that he wanted to meet me during a lull between classes.

Since that night at my house we had been living together. We had had our ups and downs. Not with each other, but with other people. His dad had a problem with us for quite awhile, as did his mom; but he didn’t care much about her opinion.

My mom, though I never told Tristan about it, didn’t like out relationship at first, she didn’t think Tristan was good enough for me. I was her brilliant little boy after all and Tristan was just ‘a bum that liked to tinker with cars’ as she said.

Tristan was an amazing mechanic anything you asked him to do he could do it, it didn’t matter what the vehicle was either, one of his favorite things to do was take apart engines and put them back together.

Tristan was also a strong wiring technician, he liked to take junk electronics apart and try to re-wire them to see if he could make them work again, although he got a bit obsessed at times, we had four blenders in our apartment that he had taken apart, re-wired and put back together.

“Abe over hear!” Tristan called and waved me over to where he and his friends sat.

As I came close to him I could see his friends clearly. They were African American, a guy and a girl. The guy was defiantly the younger of the two but the similarities in their features marked them as family; brother and sister if I had to guess.

“Abe this is Marissa and Pete, we go to school together. Guys, this is my man Abe.” Tristan said as he wrapped his arm around my waist, and I wrapped mine around his shoulder.

“It’s nice to meet you two.” I said, extending my hand to each of them, but only Marissa took it, Pete had this look on his face as though he had just been force fed sour cabbage.

“Pete, don’t be a prick, shake the man’s hand.” His sister said and there was something familiar in her voice, come to think of it she looked familiar too. Pete though wasn’t listening.

“Your man….so what, you telling us you’re a fucking fag?” Pete asked, and I couldn’t help but stiffen up a bit…I hated that fucking word but before I could say or do anything Pete took off.

“Pete get your ass back here and apologize, you fucking jerk.” Marissa called after her brother, but he didn’t listen, not that I was sorry to see him go.

“I’m really sorry about Pete; he’s not really the prick he seems to be.” Marissa said to us, looking embarrassed.

“Don’t worry about it, I figured he’d take it this way. Look you two talk for a sec I need to go find a bathroom.” Tristan said with an easy smile as he slipped from under my arm and took off in search of a bathroom

“So I’m guessing that by your little bro’s reaction Tris hasn’t mentioned me before?” I asked as I sat down next to Marissa.

“You’ve got to be joking right? Tristan never shuts up about you. Its always ‘Abe and I were talking last night, Abe said this or did that, Abe and I are thinking about doing this,’ I mean after the first week I was so whole heartedly sick of hearing about that I was about to crack that boy in the head with my torque wrench. The only thing he HASN’T mentioned was that you two were together. That really isn’t a surprise though; we’re in class with some real assholes.” Marissa said and smiled at me…damn she looked really familiar when she smiled.

“So then Pete….?”I asked and let my sentence trail off, hoping she’d get my meaning without getting offended.

“Pete’s not one of them if that’s what you’re thinking. Pete looks up to the Tiger; it’s a real hero worship situation. Tristan is everything that Lil’ Pete wants to be. He’s a mechanical whiz, he’s out going and funny and the ladies fawn over him; which I am sure you’ve noticed. That’s what Pete wants; he’s quiet and painfully shy so he tries to emulate Tristan. You know how it is when you have a hero; you build up the picture so high and make it so perfect that when that little imperfection crops up you go off the deep end. Give me a few days to bitch slap some sense into my little brother and things will be ok.” Marissa said with a smile and a wink and that when it hit me.

“Marissa, your not related to a Gina Markuse are you?” I asked with a smile.

“OMG you know my Auntie?” Marissa asked in surprise and I had to laugh.

“Big Gina saved mine and Tristan’s butts several times. We’re her un-officially adopted sons.” I said, struggling through a laugh and Marissa looked even more shock.

“YOU TWO are Miss Gina’s boys. She talks about you two all the time, she’s never given me your names though; she wouldn’t betray the confidence like that. She really loves you guys. I mean hell I fell like were practically related, she has literally told me EVERYTHING about how you guys met and got together and everything else. She did mention that you two were living and going to school up here but didn’t mention where.” Marissa was positively beaming as she spoke.

The two of us sat talking while we waited for Tristan to get back (the campus wasn’t very big but the bathrooms could be hard to find if you weren’t familiar with it.) Marissa, Pete, and Tristan were all three going to school for auto mechanics and that the three of them were actually study group.

“Tristan says you’re a compute genius.” Marissa said but before I could respond Tristan popped up and answered for me.

“HE is, Abe here is too modest to admit it but that’s the whole reason he is here, Full Academic scholarship because he’s so damn good. Then again it takes one to know one,” Tristan said as he put a hand on my shoulder, “Marissa is to the internal combustion engine what you are to a computer Mainframe Abe, a damn genius. She can LISTEN to a running car and tell you what’s wrong with it.” Tristan said and Marissa blushed.

“So I guess I owe you an explanation huh?” Tristan asked looking at Marissa.

“Nope don’t worry bout. I’m already all filled in, I know everything.” Marissa said and Tristan looked at me.

“Don’t look at me babe, I didn’t tell her anything. Big Gina did. She’s her niece.” I said and Tristan looked like he was about to faint.

“God that explains so damn much.” Tristan said I stood up and wrapped my arms around him and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

“I gotta get to class babe; you wanna meet at the gym before we go home tonight?” I asked and Tris nodded his agreement.

“I’ll see you tonight then, Marissa it was good to meet you.” I said and Marissa said the same.

“You guys got to come to Pete’s birthday party this weekend, he’ll be over his little fit by then. Come as a couple and bring a single gift, that’ll really sink the message in.” Marissa said with a smile.

“Will do; tell Pete I know what he’s going through…I used to be a wall flower too. I’d be happy to talk to him about it sometime.” I said and Marissa looked surprised.

“That’s my Abe, nice to a fault.” Tristan said to Marissa as they walked away.

* * *

I was sore, I over did it at the gym. I loved going though; it was one of the few luxuries that we could afford. Abe and I both had decent paying part time jobs and neither of us were paying for school, Abe had a full ride scholarship and I had a grant and a few loans that I would have to pay back till after I graduated and I already the promise of a job at a high end garage when I was done.

Even with all that though we still had rent, utilities and food, which left us just enough money for a twenty four hour gym membership, cable TV and internet, then again that was all we really needed.

Everyone said that the first year would be the hardest year for us but we never had any trouble. Abe and I knew everything about each other by now and didn’t have any trouble with one another’s little quirks or habits; we just seemed to work well with each other.

Money wasn’t a problem either; we had comparable incomes so we split the bills and the grocery budget fifty-fifty. We each maintained a personal checking and savings account for the majority of our money but also had a joint savings account that we used to pay bills with or get stuff or whatever.

I rolled over and hugged myself against Abe’s bare chest, letting my fingers trace the side-ways figure eight tattoo on his chest; it mirrored the one on mine except his was green and mine was blue, each others favorite colors. The tattoos were like a commitment thing to each other. We both had always wanted one so we decided it would something cool to do together. I thought it would be cool to get Abe’s initials but he wouldn’t let me, he said getting a tattoo of someone’s name was a jinx. I didn’t believe in jinxes but I went along with him.

Abe recommended the ‘eternity’ symbol and I thought it was cool looking so I agreed. We decided that we wouldn’t try to do anything official until we got out of school, which for Abe was only three years, Abe was so good he had skipped a year in college because he knew more then your average newbie.

Maybe I was being naïve but I didn’t care, I didn’t see myself leaving Abe, or him leaving me. We loved being together too much, being the last person each of us saw at night and the first one the next day. No matter how bad of a day we were having we knew that the other was waiting at home to make the day better.

Indiana didn’t perform gay marriage and neither of us was big on moving out of state so neither of us knew exactly where we’d go together but we both figured if we stayed together that after school we’d do as much legal stuff as we could to be with each other and that more then enough for me

I snuggled my head against his chest and wrapped myself as close as I could to him and fell asleep.

Life was good

I would love to get your thoughts so please feel free to drop me a PM or an email at Allenarcane88@yahoo.com.

I also want to credit my good friend Jon for supplying me with the title, I was totally at a loss.

Good story. I liked it a lot. The guys seemed like some I grew up with..... except not so handsome.
Hey Sojourn, good to see you.

I want to apologize for this having taken so long to reply. At one point I had replied to all of you that have posted for this story but it seems that something happened to them.

I'm glad that you liked this story, it was a lot of fun for me to write.

It was a thilling story and a sweet story! It was told in a cutely naive voice that appealed to me.
hello Marzipan,

Like with Sojourn I want to apologize I don't know what happened to the former reply.

I'm glad that you enjoyed the story. Believe it or not I was kind of aiming for a somewhat naive narration, as if neither of the characters really knew what they were going for.

Funny and tender at the same time - and I loved how they dealt with Malcolm - except they should have thrown him in the river :-)
Hello Timothy M. It's good to hear from you.

I really want to thank you for taking the time to leave me a review. I am very glad that you enjoyed the story. Discoveries really means a lot to me; it's one that I look back on often. It actually came out much more,( to use your word),tender than I had originally planned. I had planned to make both Abe and Tristan a bit edgier but they sort of wrote themselves.

Malcolm was an interesting creation for me; he sort of just manifested. I did very little with him. The river though...very good idea.

I hope to hear from you again.

best

Owl.

Another great story Nightowl...but then, that's to be expected from you.

I especially liked Big Gina--I hope Malcolm got the hint and disappeared for good! :)

Hello ColumbusGuy. It's good to hear from you.

I am glad that you've been enjoying my work. Discoveries is one of my favorite short stories to date. Big Gina is actually based on a very good friend of mine. Malcolm...I can't say for sure what happened to him. He might still be around.

Owl

This is the second time I have read this story The first time I wasn't a member and didn't leave a review. I really love this story and the characters. I really identify with the kind of person Abe is and I also understand how Tris took a while to figure out who he was. Genuine love and commitment is priceless and these two managed to find it. Great job on the flow and build up...it was all very believable. Cheers...Gary

Hello Gary, good to meet you.

I am really glad that you enjoyed the story. Especially since you've read it twice. I really love hearing that.

I can understand what you mean about identifying with a character. Abe has always been pretty close to my heart.

Thanks again,

Best,

Owl
