Just the Facts, Man

   (4 reviews)

The Flannan Isles Lighthouse Mystery is one of mankind's greatest mysteries, which has never been explained. Until now. In December 1900, three lighthouse keepers—James Ducat, Thomas Marshall, and Donald MacArthur—vanished from the remote Flannan Isles in Scotland. A relief crew found the lighthouse empty, with a stopped clock, an overturned chair, and, inexplicably, one set of oilskins left behind.

The SA should have found a way to include the introduction into the story, because otherwise it starts out more like a textbook or encyclopedia entry than a history story.  If you're interested in the islands off the coast of Scotland, then you might want to check out this story.

A (light)house visit to solve a mystery with a metal detector that was almost instantly achieved. You can read it, it will only take a few minutes, it's not very substantial, you might conclude there's almost nothing in it, except the discovery of a tobacco tin which 125 years later still carries a faint odour, a bit like the tale that's been told!
