Young Words From An Old Heart - 2. Chapter 2: If Everything

If Everything

By bugeye

What if everything had soul
And a soul was a soul
Was a soul
Like that rose
And life and death were the same
And time just a disguise

What if everything that was
Could be found in a face
Your face
A mirror of light
A river of feeling
Returning awareness
More a veil of lace
Than abyss

What if everything I said
Was the truth
Would it turn you around
Could I tell a lie
From the look in your eye
Forever took an hour to die
That final gaze
A guise goodbye

What if everything done
Was for one
Because one wants to be two
Two wants to be one
And one and two makes thee mine
Smile be gone
Will have none

What if everything passed by
While standing still
Caught in the moment
Your moment
Now I am happy
Now I am sad
Now I am in love
Now
After everything
